Greetings! So this is not a thing I do usually, As I focus on skins, But I decided to do some guide thingy to help other fellas!

Lets get this started.

Colors!

You cant skin without colors, As skins are pretty much a bunch of colorful pixels.
But you cant just leave blank color, Thats unrealistic and boring. You need a COLOR PALETTE!

First, You get a color. Lets say... Pink!
Thats a start.

But, Dont do this!

There is no hue shifting, I used the lighter/darker tool for this palette and thats no good.
You need to do hue shifting, Like THIS PINK PALETTE!

Here, I'll show you how! (Hue shifting is very important, As it is useful not only for skins, But digital art too!)
To hue shift RED, You need to use go towards the ORANGE shades to make it lighter, And if you need darker shade, go towards PURPLE or FUCHSIA. (Same for Pink, Only lighter shades of these colors.)
To hue shift YELLOW youll just need to add ORANGE for darker shades and add a LIGHTER YELLOW
for lighter shades.
To hue shift ORANGE, youll need to go towards RED for darker shades, and YELLOW for brighter shades!
To hue shift GREEN, You will need to go towards the LIME for lighter shades, And TEAL/CYAN for darker shades!
To hue shift BLUE, You will need to go towards the CYAN/TEAL for lighter shades, and INDIGO or PURPLE for darker shades!
To hue shift PURPLE, Youll need to go towards FUCHSIA/PINK for lighter shades and INDIGO for darker shades!
This is what hue shifted palettes should look like! (I forgot the orange palette, Will be added later.)




HAIR STYLES!
Im just going to put some bangs examples here, Feel free to use as long as you dont claim it as your own design! (Im not going to shade these bangs tho, Youll need to shade it by yourselves!)

Im going to show 3 different types of hats: Fedoras, Beanies and Caps.

FEDORA:

First, Get your palettes. Youll need 2 colors. Then, Just follow these simple steps.
