LEGO Ninjago Secrets Left Written ( part 4) Evil Harumi also know as The Quiet One

Please Note: The following fanfic is set before the events of season 14 (The Island). If anything happens in the show afterwards that contradicts this story, it should just be accepted as an alternate universe.

Day 12: After what happened yesterday, Lloyd said he had something to show me. Then he opened his clothes compartment found underneath his bed and pulled out my childhood diary. We walked back to the living room area, I think? I don’t know it’s a boat. Anyway, we both sat on the couch, then he said, “I found this when the ninja and I had to rebuild the palace.”

Then Lloyd looked at me and explained how he always hoped The Quiet One wasn’t the real me, and my diary and what I told him yesterday confirmed it. Then he mentioned how the royal family may not have cared for me the way parents or even adoptive parents should care for their child.

As much as I hated to admit it, he was right. I was forced to act well-behaved and seem perfect all the time. At such a young age, nonetheless. Lloyd was lucky he had his friends to help him adapt to the role he had to play. Yet, I was practically alone. I wanted to be mad because he hid my diary from me, yet I couldn’t because he… he… cares.

Then I broke, I started crying, repeating the words “I don’t deserve a second chance.”. He moved closer to me and said:
“You made bad decisions, but everyone deserves a second chance.”.

Then Lloyd went on to explain the way were raised impacts who we become. It may not excuse my actions, but it does help provide an explanation. His words were starting to get to me, I never had anyone to help me heal from what happened to my parents. I never had anyone love me in a long time.

As tears began to fill up in my eyes again, Lloyd grabbed me and said, “Even if you don’t love me back the way I love you. I just want you to know you have someone that loves you.”. I rested my head on his shoulder and all I could think was, “Why did I ever want to make someone, so kind, suffer.”

Day 13: What’s wrong with me! I’ve never been the emotional type, and I cried like a fool yesterday. I tried to keep myself better composed today. Lloyd asked if I was okay, and I replied simply, “Better than yesterday.” He thankfully noticed I didn’t want to talk about yesterday and changed the subject.

Lloyd offered to go to Ninjago City, so we could walk around instead of being on a boat 24/7. I told him we could do it tomorrow since I wasn’t up to it today. Not because of my leg, in fact, it’s pretty much healed since it was just a fracture. It was just because I needed a day to think.

Day 14: Today was nice. We went back to Ninjago City and decided to walk around. Though my leg was healed, I couldn’t put myself to run away. We visited the downtown area, where to no surprise everyone looked at me in fear or in anger. Lloyd grabbed my hand and whispered:
“Ignore them, they don’t know the real you.”.

I wanted to protest, saying that they did, but held my thoughts because we were walking to an apartment complex. It looked brand new. We took the elevator up and stopped in front of a door. Right when I was about to ask “what are we doing here”, he knocked on the door.

A man with black hair, wearing a tan jacket, white shirt, blue tie, and brown pants, opened the door. He looked at Lloyd and me with a smile and said:
“Please come in!”.

I recognized the man, but couldn’t put my finger on it. Then a woman and a little boy entered the room, and it clicked. It was the family I saved. The little boy noticed me and ran back in the direction he came from. I heard a door swing open, then him running back towards us with something in his hand.
“This is for you, princess!” he said while handing me a small hand-drawn card.

They all proceeded to look at me and then the woman said:
“We know that you’re The Quiet One, but you’re not as evil as everyone thinks. You saved us, and we are forever grateful.”.

Lloyd went on to explain that after The Sons of Garmadon were arrested, the family had gone up to him and asked where I was. Once they noticed I wasn’t buried underneath the rubble, they were determined to find me and thank me once again. I was honestly happy but ashamed. I put them in danger, yet they thanked me for saving them. The child gave me a hug and after a few hours, Lloyd and I left.

Day 15: This morning, Lloyd offered to go clothes shopping. He proposed for me to get something more “friendly looking”. I asked sarcastically if he wanted me to dress in my princess attire, or how I dressed when we went to the canals. To my surprise, he said, “No, I want you to pick something that represents you but doesn’t seem intimidating.”. I think that was his way of pretending to be nice when he says he doesn’t like my Quiet One outfit. We went to a store and to spare the boring details of my shopping experience, let's just say I came up with an outfit that I like.

The outfit is ripped blue jeans, a white shirt, a leather jacket, and a black belt. I convinced Lloyd to get me fabric paint, so I could paint on the shirt. The design I chose was a heart with vines wrapping around it. The reason being, it was a drawing I did in my old diary, and I’ve always liked it.

Day 16: Our journey around Ninjago City continued and today’s location was the palace of secrets (or as I nicknamed it the palace of boredom). Lloyd said he waited to bring me back here because he knew I didn’t like the palace. The first thing I went to see was my old room, I was curious about how well Lloyd remembered how my room looked.

When I got inside, I almost lost my head. There was a Garmadon poster on the wall along with a Garmadon blanket on my bed. I asked Lloyd what that was about. He said he read my old diary and noticed I had these objects. I politely told him I’m not 9 anymore. Though I appreciated the gesture regardless. Then the brat with a grin on his face said “If you don’t like these I could always switch them for a green ninja poster and blanket.” I didn’t give a reply just a glare showing my disapproval.

Then we went to the temple of resurrection with my “insurance policy” still perfectly visible. I noticed Lloyd avoided looking at the cages. He instead walked to the wall and pulled out a brick obviously out of place from all the others. Then mentioned that this is where he found the diary. As if I didn’t remember where I hid it. The rest of the day was us just walking around the palace with not too much of note.

Night 16: I don’t normally write at night, but tonight was more eventful than usual. Since by the time we left the palace at around 6:30 PM, me and Lloyd both decided to make a stop at Chen’s Noodle House to grab some food. While we walked there, he held my hand. I didn’t mind, but everyone was staring and whispering to each other. I couldn’t believe it! His reputation could be on the line just because he held my hand, and he didn’t even seem to care. We eventually got to Chen’s Noodle House and sat at a table with a booth beside the conveyer belt. While we were eating a group of people approached, and I assume they didn’t see Lloyd because one of the men said:
“Well if it isn’t The Quiet One. Look who doesn’t have her gang now.”

As much as I don’t want to admit it, I was scared, but then Lloyd made himself visible and said:
“Is there a problem gentleman?”

The group ended up stepping back then one of them asked:
“Are you two on a date?”

Lloyd didn’t say anything, so I told them it was none of their business. We finished our meal and started walking back towards the docks. On our way back, I finally asked why he didn’t mind people staring at him while he held my hand. His response was “They don’t know the real you, they only know who was on the news.”

I then whispered to him:
“Did you consider tonight a date?”

Lloyd simply replied:
“It’s up to you.”

I looked around at everyone staring at us and gave him an answer by kissing him on the cheek. After all, if Lloyd can stand people staring at him, so can I.

Fun fact: At first glance, the idea I came up with for Harumi’s outfit may make many think of Nya’s outfit from the Ninjago movie. However, that wasn’t my intent. The inspiration is Sunset Shimmer from My Little Pony Equestria Girls. With a leather jacket and a shirt with a logo. I chose ripped jeans because I didn’t think a skirt would suit Harumi. Yet it was only after I realized how similar it was to Nya’s movie counterpart.
