Hey guys, I've recently been taking an interest in creating a gaming channel on YouTube... I posted a few videos earlier today, but haven't really done much to "get them out there". I'm not necessarily looking for "views", however I would really appreciate it if you guys could check it out and give me some feedback. I'm just curious as to how my content is currently recieved. The reason I'm turning to PMC for this is because I've been a member of the community for quite some time, and I know that all of you guys are very supportive of all of the wonderul projects and things that go up on this website! :D

As of now, I've got a few sample Minecraft LP videos, but I'm really motivated and looking forward to uploading more than just that!

The possibilities are endless :D

Thanks for checking this blog out, I'll leave a link to my channel below. Feedback is greatly appreciated! :D

Edit: I've recently added an Amnesia video and will be adding more LP videos shortly!

Advice perhaps: talk a tad Louder, or maybe turn Music off as well. :P

Nice channel name, easy to remember and sparks interest.

The video itself seems to tick all the right boxes, except for the sound.

The sound is VERY low. I have my sound up all the way and I can still barely hear it. If there's a way you can turn the levels up on your end or get a better mic or talk louder, it would really help. There's a few other issues with the microphone--when you say "s" sounds it really whistles painfully, so either you're too loud for the mic or the mic needs to be replaced with something nicer.

I'm also hearing your chair or something creak constantly, so that's either the mic picking up background sounds so you need a new one or new settings on it or something--or try to get a different chair and sit still.

Also, the minecraft music and sound effects in the background can also be turned down. I'm hearing a lot of that more so than your voice. You can just lower it or even turn it off totally since sound like the default music doesn't affect gameplay and gets repetitive after a while. A lot of Youtubers just turn that off.

Thank you! It seems that sound is the only thing I've had problems with so far, I have no idea why though.. My Mic is actually a Razer 7.1 and I'm using Nvidia Shadowplay for the actual capture. When I listen to the videos on my PC at home, they sound fine, but you're actually not the first person to mention it. This is actually really helpful and I appreciate your input :)

No problem. Do you listen on headphones? Maybe that's why, because I didn't use mine when I listened and it was a lot quieter.

Funny you'd mention that... I never bothered to put external speakers on my rig, so I always use my headset. However, I went and rewatched the video on my laptop and I had to turn the volume up quite high to actually hear it properly. as for the background noises, They're most likely sounds from my chair rolling on my floors... I have trouble sitting still for long periods of time.. xD

I'll keep an eye on the audio throughout my next few recordings. I'd like to fix that before I play something a little more"involved" than Minecraft.

Yeah, I use a laptop too. Can't blame you for not sitting still, honestly. Maybe get a carpet or a lot of glue? XD
You could also try a few free sound softwares to pluck out the noise, but that adds more work on your plate and doesn't always clean up the sound totally.

The audio isn't bad, considering. But fixing those little things is critical if you want to keep going with this, yeah. Maybe consider jump cuts? Though you seem to talk consistently enough that long pauses aren't a huge issue.

Best of luck.

I just uploaded a video of some Amnesia gameplay. I found out that there's a 'normalize' function in the editting software I use xD I think I might have fixed the audio issues
