Server Review: =CIVCRAFT =

Civcraft is a server like no other. It's unique system of plugins allows for a Minecraft experience that's hard to replicate. Civcraft's vast map filled with cities to explore and rich history ripe with wars and civilizations long since collapsed, you'll feel like you're in a world that has existed forever, and will live on long after you quit. This is Civcraft, and I'm here to guide you through it.

When you first log in, there is a good chance you won't see any signs of life. You could try chat to see if anybody is around, but there is a plugin that limits the distance your messages go. If you've found yourself in the wilderness, it may be your best bet to jump off a cliff and see if you get lucky with the next spawn. Once you have found somebody else, you will probably be lead to the nearest city. Some popular ones are Orion, Aytos, and New Lenningrad.

The city life isn't for everybody. You'll need to get a job if you are to afford a plot of land, and you may run into bands of greifers, but if you're the type who prefers settling down, it's worth it. Popular jobs include obsidian mining, enderpearl grinding, farm planting/harvesting, and trading. Your wage may seem low, but something you should keep in mind is that ores are super rare in Civcraft, so even one iron is as good as diamond.

Politics, religion, and commerce are three important factors at play in theworld ofCivcraft. Though they might take some time to get used to, they make the world feel richer.

All cities that are fully developed have some form of government. The style ranges drastically, from Communism to Monarchy to Democracy, but there's always somebody in charge. Contact the authorities to report greifing, stealing, or any other mishaps, but don't try to report them to the server owner: everything is allowed on Civcraft!

Religion is more of arole-playingdevice than anything else, but don't let that fool you, it can have serious in-game consequences. The most popular Civcraft religion is Clayism. The prophet Etahn wrote 12 claymendments, put them into a holy book of clay, and it spread far and wide. Clay in Civcraft can be used tospeed upthe growth of plants (which grow over a period of hours rather than minutes) so that is probably where this religion started. Depending on where you are in the world, you should watch what you say about Clayism, many people take it seriously.

Commerce, the linking of cities through trade, is a huge deal in Civcraft. Many items have prices that go up and down as supply and demand ebbs and flows. If you can master the marketplace, you shall grow rich! You are allowed to create your own stores using a special shop-sign plugin.

One of the most amazing plugins Civcraft has is called PrisonPearl. This plugin allows you to trap a player for eternity in the end by killing them with an enderpearl in yourhot-bar. As long as that enderpearl is on your person or stored in a chest with coal, they won't be able to escape! This is perfect for a legal consequence or an evil kidnapping!

To protect from greifers, Civcraft has a way to reinforce your blocks. If you right-click any block with a smooth stone, an iron ingot, or a diamond, you'll make it harder to break.

Smooth Stones: 25 "breaks" to actually break it.

Gold Ingot: 250 "breaks" to actually break it.

Diamond: 800 "breaks" to actually break it.

Civcraft is not something you can merely read about to fully understand, you need to see it to believe it. Whether you like multiplayer or not, please give this server a try, it'sextremelyunique and fun to check out. The IP ismc.civcraft.vg.I hope you found this review interesting, and if you liked it enough to get this far, maybe a diamond is in order? Up to you. Anyways, see ya!
