Minecraft is an incredible game. It's called a "sandbox" game, because just like in a real-life sandbox, there's no wrong way to play it -- as long as you can imagine it and have the right tools, you can make anything you want out of it. It's great!
In terms of minecraft, this means people make mods, data packs, resource packs, and so much more for players to experience minecraft in a whole new way. They may add new animals, new biomes, ray guns, spiffy new armor, new achievements, new consequences, new foods & plants -- but one theme is common between them...

Too many people aren't reading the description before downloading it.

Much like a recipe blog where OP talks about their family and what apple cobbler means to them spiritually; most people just scroll to the bottom to find the information they need and ignore the rest. But here's the thing: Content Creators aren't talking about our grandma's apple cobbler in the description. We put useful information, links, and even instructions on how to use our content. This is stuff that shouldn't be ignored! Yet I know countless creators who are absolutely exhausted with answering the same 6 questions over & over and over again.

There's nothing quite like waking up, turning on your computer, and finding 30+ new messages that all echo the same questions that were answered not only if they read the description, but also if they just glance at the comments.
"When are you updating to X?" (usually happening the day after an update launches)

"Does this work with X mod???"

"Does this work on bedrock/pocket edition/mobile?"

  "How do i install this??????"

  "HELP IT DOESN'T WORK!!!"

As a content creator, i do my absolute best to answer everyone as patiently, sweetly, and politely as possible -- but it wears thin after a while. Have you ever seen a FAQ section where the creator has smart-alecky questions at the top like:

"Q: When are you Updating this???"

"A: *shoots with shrink ray and fires you into orbit*."

It's not because they're a rude person (usually), it's because they're tired of hearing the same thing. I don't know how many times i've logged into the social media pages for my content, just to see the same exact questions echoed one after the other. Questions that i've answered a hundred times. Questions that are answered at the top of the description, written in a big shiny red font so it's literally the first thing you'll see, that nobody bothered to read, or just skimmed over.
It's gotten to the point where i'm doing what i never thought i'd do. I'm deleting comments. If the answer is extremely obvious in the description, i'm not going to answer it. I'm going to delete it. If you can't read the description, the comments, the faq, or the discord, why would you read my reply? It feels incredibly rude to do, and i hate doing it, but i spend a good 2 hours of my morning every. single. day. answering people's questions for a resource pack, like it's my job.
I know a lot of other creators who are doing the same. Some creators got so tired of it, they've up & abandoned their projects because they couldn't take it any more. I can definitely understand why, at this point.

  So How Can You Help?

Slow down. I know many of you are young, and often have ADHD (i do too, i understand!) or maybe english isn't your first language and reading giant blocks of text (like this, i know. It's ironic, i get it) is difficult for you -- but it's important. Reading & comprehending is so important. What's written in the description, or on the wiki is going to help you so much. Sometimes you can find a video tutorial on youtube, but you can't always rely on them. Videos don't always update when content does! You need to double-check for yourself to make sure you're doing something right. So slow down, and read it completely before firing off your question to the creator -- especially if you're trying to DM them.

Think of it like this: If you wanted to bake a cake, you'd need a recipe. You have to read the recipe to find out what you need to do, what tools you need, etc. Same thing goes for mods/datapacks/resourcepacks/etc.

Most Importantly, Be Kind To Your Creators.

Remember that we're people. We have families, lives, jobs, school, other projects, and sometimes even illnesses that keep us from being there 24/7 to help you. We get busy & don't have time, energy, or health to let us update/add something, or to help you personally. Be patient, and if they have a discord -- join it! Check through their help section to see if your problem was answered by someone else!

Lastly, let us know when you love our creations! Support us if you can (for patreon, or ko-fi, or twitch! Supporting your creators helps them afford things they need to make more time to create!) Make videos if you like, or draw artwork. Take fancy screenshots. We LOVE hearing from you! That's half the reason we make the things we do!! It never fails, that whenever i start feeling under-appreciated and ignored, my community steps up & shows me that they appreciate me, and it makes me want to make more for them. Nobody wants to create if they're constantly criticized & questioned, you need some praise & happiness too.

All i ask, is for everyone to do their best to slow down, be patient, be kind, and read. I know you can do it, and we'll all be so much more appreciative if you did!

As someone who posted a mod less than an hour ago I know I'm gonna have loads of stupid questions and this kind of stuff to deal with.
