So you want to make a project? First, you need to know what a project is. A project is basically a Minecraft build- no seeds. It cannot be offensive in ANY way. You will need a website that the people can download from, and I recommend MediaFire. IMPORTANT- If you are under Level 20, you cannot use ad.fly AT ALL.
Second, choose what Minecraft version you want to use.
Third, Create a new world. You should do what you can to stay away from Superflat worlds. Also, if this map requires mods, DO NOT POST IT.
Fourth, Think of what you want to build. This probably would have been completed before step two, but the thought should be full by now. Will it be parkour, an adventure map, survival map, general spawn for server, or something else?
Parkour
Parkour is a Minecraft build that involve a series of blocks that pose the challenge of getting to the end, and blocks are spaced in such a way so that you are able to jump from certain blocks in order to get to the end.
Simple- A build that has blocks spaced out so that the player has to jump through to get to the end.
A parkour build can require little to lots of time, command block and parkour knowledge. If you lack command block knowledge, I do have a blog about them. It can be found Here. A better tool would be at Minecraft Wiki.
Adventure Map
An adventure map is a map that is played on adventure gamemode and requires the player to complete all the tasks in a map.
Requires lots of time, effort, command block knowledge, building skills and motivation. If you have no building or command block knowledge, you may want to build this with a friend.
Without command blocks, the map lacks the ability to teleport people, give people enchanted items, have the "map" talk, and more.
Survival Map
A survival map is a world played on survival.
Requires some time, effort, possibly some command block knowledge, and some building skills.
You should post it if you built something amazing that is best seen in survival gamemode.
REMEMBER- NO seeds.
General Spawn for server
You should know what a server spawn is.
It requires a good amount of time, lots of effort and building skills, and most likely no command block knowledge.
These spawns can range from super simple to highly advanced and awesome. Unless you make a big and amazing one, I recommend staying away from this category.
P.S. If you are building this for a server, refrain from posting it. This is for a General Spawn.
After Completion
Step 5: When you are done, get back to the spawn, clear your inventory of most desired items, and change your game mode to the desired game mode.
Step 6: Change map folder into .zip file. May require something like 7-ZIP.
Step 7: Upload .zip file to file sharing site.
Step 8: Open www.planetminecraft.com/account/manage/projects/item/new/
Step 9: Make a description of the map, any sidenotes, and give credit to anyone that helped. Did you forget to get a picture of your build? If so, get a picture of it.
Step 10: Click Save. Project uploaded!
View- 1 XP point Diamond- 5 XP points
NOTE: You will be redirected to your post. You automatically get a diamond from you, and you can always get rid of it, but you still keep the EXP points of getting a diamond.
