Hio, and sry for the long wait :P

I know its kinda weird but I like to compare the termology of my terraforming with protein structure terminology. (if this doesnt tell you anything its fine too)
The primary structure of terraforming was done in the first 3 basic guides. It involves how to build so that when you look close it looks kinda nice and not too repetitive.
The secondary structure is about the 5th - 8th guide on how to make bigger connected objects throughout the terra, especially "Flow" is really important there.
This guide is about the tertiary structure by reference to my recently built mountainsides.

Like always there are several different styles to it. I started out with the ultra smooth one, where the secondary structured are smoothed out so that the whole mountain looks really nice and smooth.
1) Smooth

I still like this style but feel like I moved on a bit more. But in many situations this one is still the best one, For example in all kinda places where houses etc, still have to be built or if you smooth a whole mountain like this it does look really nice. Everyone has to decide which style they want to build with.

My current style of building is one with very much depth to the mountainsides.
2)In-depth

(btw sorry for the left side, still WIP)
So here you can see that I used all those secondary things. "Flow" lines are kinda obvious throughout the mountainside and I used a similar technique to river-building for those canal like parts.
This kind of style can look really cool and you have many oportunities to hide easter eggs :P but it does take more time and involves more adding and removing of stone. I started this one out on a nearly flat mountainside and continued to add more things until you can see this one here.

The downside is that because there are not many flat parts starting buildings here is hard, so i would recommend something in between if you want to use the mountainside for other things.
3) In-between xD

(once again sry for the unfinished parts of both terra and houses xD)
So this is what I try to do now when there are buildings involved but there is still enough space left to structure the terrain. Sometimes there is not enough space left, then you just have to go for the tips of my primary structures.

Link to the next part!

I hope this was a help to you and as always if you have any questions or maybe want me to make a guide on something else in terraforming then just ask :P

Im also part of the DurinsBuilders Building Team and as expected focusing on smoothing all the terra there xD We are also looking for new members (and I am looking for terraformer to help me xD) who want to join us. Go over to their side to see how to apply.
