We arrived at Brookwind as the sun was starting to set. We passed through the gates and went along the path until we came upon a shop.
  "Well, here we are," John said as he stopped the cart at the side of the shop. I hopped off and gave my thanks to him for giving me a ride to town.
  "Do you need any help unloading?" I asked, wanting to repay him to being kind.
  "If you wouldn't mind. It would help me get this inside before nightfall."
  With both of us unpacking the chests from the cart into the storage room, the work was quickly finished in a few minutes, just as the light began to fade.
  "What do you plan to do now?" John asked.
  I stood there a moment in the store wondering. "I'm not sure," I replied, "I still don't have any clue as to what's going on."
  "So you don't know what happened before you woke up in the forest?"
  "No. I just woke up with no idea where I was or what I was doing. I still don't know what I'm supposed to do."
  John stood there for a moment looking at me, looking even more confused than before. "Well, I can't do much for you, but if you want, you can work in my shop. In exchange there's an extra room upstairs you can stay in, and I can give you a part of the shop's profits. I had someone who used to work for me, Evan, but he left for Iron City a few months back."
  "Yeah, that'd be great." I smiled, now having some sort of purpose in this world.
  He showed me to my new room. There was a red bed in the far left corner, a nightstand with a window above it, a small chest, and a mirror hanging above it. I thanked him, and he told me I would start work tomorrow morning stocking the shelves with the supplies we had brought in earlier. He left and I sat on the bed looking out the window as the last rays of light dissapeared behind the horizon. I looked slightly up and saw the stars all in the sky. It may have been night, but the stars lit up the ground to where you could still see clearly. Feeling tired from the day, I lie down on the bed and go to sleep.
