Hey everyone and welcome to Taco's Tuts! A new ''series'' where I explain how I shade my skins, and show you some different techniques aswell :D
Anyway, this is the first ''chapter'' where I show you how to shade hair :D
So let's start ;D
Step 1:

Here we have the head, the hair is not shaded yet but as you can see the skin is already done.
Step 2:

Here you need to make a palette, each colour has the same contrast so it looks better.
Step 3:

Here you make the lower line of the hair darker, sorry for the bit of hair on the eye, didn't notice it :/
Step 4:

Here you add a vertical line ever 2 blocks, one high, one low, etc.
Step 5:

Here you make the bigger dark spots, even darker :O
It already looks much better huh?
Step 6:

Here you need to add a lighter area, don't make it too precise because it'll look... precise :/
I'm sorry about the grey thingy on the right, I suck miserably at editing pics, still looking for someone who could edit them for me.
Step 7:

Here you do the same as you did with the dark, you make the light.. Even lighter :D
Never thought shading could be that easy huh?
Here are two different shading styles, no tutorial though :3
Dotted shading:

Layered shading:

I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial, if you did of course leave a diamond, it makes my butt cheeks clap :D
Suggestions on the next shading tut are welcome too!
