I will be reviewing tekkit, and why its good, and why it isn't.
To start, I will say some of the things tekkit has suprised, amazed, and impressed me most with.

1:The thing that tekkit is best at, (in my opinion,) Is how they have taken 50+ mods, (per pack,) and fit them together seemlassly, making the minecraft experience more enjoyable for the payer.

2: I like the choice you have when choosing tekkit as your minecraft platform to play on. If you don't like playing tekkit volts, you switch to tekkit classic, if you despise that one, you keep moving down the list.

3:I enjoy how the server option is still there, what good is minecraft, if its not as recent as possible, and there's no servers.

Those are my favorite perks of tekkit, now here are the three things that I dont like.

1:The lack of recent versions, (tekkit classic,) some of the packs that technic has created, have been a wast of time, they add a mod, and it stops being updated, and they cant update that pack any more. Tekkit classic, has and always will be minecraft version 1.2.5.

2: The lack of chat, in a few of their packs. (with the exception of downloading the essentials mod.)

3: The un-updated mods, (galacticraft, ect...) most mods are halved, or split up, so you only get part of it. I'd personally prefer that they left the mods the same, I would probably be sided with, by the modders.
