It’s 2017, minecraft has changed a lot since the last such a competition, but still we can change in it even more. We can see how Mojang is trying to improve the game with new fantastic elements added in the next versions but we should also notice how minecraft can seem real. Every day new shaders, texturepacks and mods are created and plenty of other things improve the game.
I'd like to introduce an idea that would make the game real and modify it so that the player feels like he is closed in the world of square blocks.
As we know every biome has its own flora, fauna and its weather. But the latter is not enough. Weather only changes between cold biomes with snow and normal with rain. Temperature is this what changes everything.
If there was a temperature it would make no sense without scale and object to measuring it. The thing we know how warm is the air around us is usual thermometer. It’s made of 4 glass blocks, 2 gold nuggets, and a blaze rod. Creating it is quite difficult especially the blaze rod and gold nuggets you have to go to nether.
The temperature is measured in degrees where zero means the state in which water freezes. For each biome the individual temperatures are assigned.
It is not a stackable thing. Thermometer displays the temperature only when is held on the item bar while is not in inventory, also changes colours depending on the temperature value. Blue is cold, warm is green, hot is red.
This is not a indestructible device. If you are with a thermometer on the item bar in something warmer than 70 degrees for example in fire or lava for more than 4 secs, your thermometer will be destroyed but when it is hidden in inventory it won’t be.

The temperature adds the need for water in the orgaism. There are 10 glass bottles of water over the item bar. The amount of water decreases depending on the type of movement at the given temperature. If you have less than 3 full bottles you can’t run. But it’s not as annoying as you think. Moving slowly without running in cold and warm biomes to lose a bottle you need a lot of time.
To drink player uses water bottles and buckets. Each bottle can fill with water bottle on item bar and bucket two bottles. A bucket of milk adds 0.5 bottle of water because its main task is to remove potion effects.
A few words about potions. Current drinks in minecraft do not add water to the organism. The new drink is an energy potion. Made from a awkward potion and cooked salmon, adds a bottle of water and stops to decrease it for 4 mins. It must only be drunk because it is used more like a drink than a potion.

Sprayer bottle is used to wash paint from banners. The player must be close to the banner and press the right mouse button. This will wash out the entire paint leaving the banner all white. It is filled with one bucket of water. It is made of 2 glass blocks, an iron ingot and a bottle.
Again like in normal life minecraft temperature affects the plants. It is added to any crop plant like potatoes, beetroots, pumpkins etc. Wilting texture changes colour to yellow or brown to look like drying.
It appears not only in the desert but also in the plains and in the taiga. If the temperature in plains for many days is high the plants will be dried but not die. I mean the growing process is paused to return more friendly temperatures. In the taiga, if the plants do not grow in the sun but in the shade, everything is dried.

This would make whole gameplay adding a new element of weather. I’d like player to feel more similarities between the real world and the computer world. Of course, I don’t say about removing all the fantastic elements from the minecraft, but adding something like that would extend its era.
All game makers in the world want their game to look as realistic as possible, so minecraft must also make such changes. Maybe it is not a change of look but it will contribute to the survival of the minecraft for next few years certainly.
I want the player not to feel like a normal man sitting in front of the screen controlling a character but just as the character.

Taiga -20 to 23 which theres no ice and snow in newer versions
