Young Zeus89725 awoke with a jolt, as the sharp cry of his alarm clock peirced his ears, as it did every morning. He sighed, and groggily got out of bed, and brushed his teeth. He put his clothes on, a Minecraft T-Shirt, his headset, (So he could game at school, and simply plug it in when he got home.) but forgot his pants, as he did a lot.

He walked downstairs and made himself breakfast; a few pieces of bread and a porkchop. He sighed and put his homework in his backpack, and walked outside, awaiting the school bus that would pick him up.

Beside him, at the bus stop, sat his friend, Jacobd11, who walked up to Zeus, pat him on the shoulder, and asked, "How's it goin', bro?"

"Fine, how 'bout you?" Zeus replied.

Jacob laughed. "Why are you so depressed?"

"I'm not, just tired."

"Fair enough."

The two silently awaited the bus' arrival, and when it came, they hopped on, sitting alone, in the very back of the bus. The outcasts. They chattered until they arrived at school, where they parted. Jacob headed off to Math, whereas Zeus went to Science. After visiting his locker and grabbing his things, Zeus somewhat joyfully walked to science; it was his favorite class.

Mr. C, the science teacher, told everyone to sit down, as he would begin his lecture on the way Steves, our species, evolved to what they are today.

"Class, today we embark on a journey, a journey that began over 100,000 years ago. You see, Steves started out as an idea, a thought, of a brilliant man named Notch. I'm sure you all know of him." The class nodded, and whispered to each other. "Notch decided to put his coding skills to work, and create our world, which he entitled Minecraft. Now, our world had a very slow start. Our textures were nowhere near where they are today, and there were very few players. However, Notch didn't give up, and he began to introduce updates, to make Minecraft better. Eventually, people created great things, and more and more people joined us. Multiplayer was introduced, and people made servers, so they could interact with each other, and collaborate to survive. We started out as hunters and gatherers, in small grous which used Skype or chat to communicate. Eventually, coders began to make programs and plugins to get further along. Servers grew, and servers fell. Notch introduced more updates, which allowed mods, which is how you all have that there fancy tech-stuff, texture packs, and the blocks we have today. These all enabled the great nations of MinePlex, JerryAndHarry, the Archon, and more to rise. And that, children, is the history of us."

The class was silent, and I assumed we were all stunned.
