It was just like any other day, I was walking down the path that led to school. I was late for class.When I got to the building everyone seemed to have panic written all over their faces. I didn't know what was going on,then,suddenly out of the corner of my eye I spotted the cafeteria's TV.The news reporter looked out of breath, and the landscape around him was burnt with destruction.The reporter was explaining what had happened only days before, "The sky was clear as day", he explained, "when suddenly everything went dark with a red glow. The citizens had no idea of what was happening. All they knew was that they were in for trouble." I was starting to think, what type of event could occur to cause such decimation. "The red glow started to get brighter." a surviving
citizen said to the camera with a shaky voice, "and then out of nowhere the worst thing happened.
The sky was being filled with fire and meteors,debris,and a ton of other things started raining down
on-" At that instant the power went out, and everyone screamed with fear. the windows shattered
with a deathly screech, and a sickly red glow came to the clouds...

The sky was filling with fire! I couldn't believe what was happening. I wished I was anywhere else on
earth but here! The meteors were starting to fall with the rest of the deadly projectiles described by
the citizen. Explosions were letting loose everywhere! Everyone was rushing out to go to their homes in hope of escaping the torrent of doom that was headed their way. I was the last one out of the building. I had stayed to make sure everyone got out safely. When the last person ran out I started rushing toward my home where my parents and
sister were. "No!", I screamed with tears in my eyes as I watched a huge piece of burning metal crash
down on the roof of my home. I was stopped dead in my tracks. Withing minutes the building was
consumed by fire. I couldn't move. Within hours the whole city would be devoured by the raining of the
deadly and destructive force. Weeping loudly with grief in my choking voice, I fell straight to my knees,
not knowing if I would see the light of day again. CLANK! A metal beam from an overhead building hit me
square on the top of the head. I was unconscious.
