First of all, let me begin by saying, I know Doughty did not start this. But lets be honest, "Doughty Revolution" sounds cooler than "SoulStealer Revolution" and it doesn't sound racist like "Black Revolution". Tharesan started it.
So, all around PMC, lately, people have been complaining about experience and how it is destroying the website. Certain players on PMC have also tried to show their hatred by using a system beginning to be known as "The Doughty Revolution" because Doughty let the world know that he was doing it through a blog. I will explain the positives and negatives of the experience system, and I will then explain the revolution and how it is changing PMC.
The Level System
As far as I know, the level system has always been around. The Level system is basically a way of giving people experience based off posting a blog/mod/texture pack/skin, how many views it gets, and how many diamonds it gets, and how many downloads it gets.
Each one of these is worth a certain amount of experience. When a blog has gotten a decent amount of diamonds/downloads, it means that it has enough positive feedback to be placed on the popular reel.
Lately, the leveling system has been getting a bad reputation. Many people will post recopied skins, texture packs, mods, and blogs, only for the sake of getting experience. Apparently this boosts their ego. the number of copied things has gotten outrageously high. Members are leaving PMC because of this madness, and it is outrageous.
Many players care only about their level and getting experience, making them post tons of these pointless recopied items across the website.
Doughty Revolution
Doughty is a normal PMC-er, like you and me. He publicly announced the protest he did to show that the leveling system meant nothing and being a higher level will not make you a greater person.
By deleting all his blog posts, doughty has lost all his experience, and he does not care! He has proven his self-confidence by not needing a number to say how "great" he is. This is a powerful statement because it makes people realize levels will not affect them, they will still be the same person.
Others taking part in this movement are:
Doughty
Soulstealer (technically the first one)
BlackFTW
Tharesan
If you are also part of the movement, tell me and i'll add you to the list
What this movement is trying to do
People doing this are showing that levels mean nothing, they usually only inspire rudeness, and motivate people to post blogs that do not have any real purpose, or are just spamming in an attempt for a higher level.
I believe the purpose is to remove the leveling system, that way people will only post legitimately good blogs, because without levels, that would mean subscribers are the thing to be going after. And if you post bad things, you won't get subscribers, thus stopping the terrible spam.
Of course, there will always be problems. But this revolution is bringing us one more step ahead to fixing it!
I am not saying that...
if you don't delete all your posts you are a bad person. I am not deleting my posts because I think they are all good, I like them, and I want people to see them. However, if you are a revolutionary then go for it! Delete what you want to delete to show that level is not important!
Level does motivate some to keep going, but couldn't subscribers or something you actually NEED skill to get do that as well?

Lets say youtube, there is no sort of leveling system there, but people steal videos like madness.
I don't associate with anyone lower than level 90. Not even myself
I will examplify myself:
I made a blog post about this subject, but not many people looked at it, so it had little effect.
Tharesan made one, and has s/he has a lot of subscribers, the message was taken, and this "revolution" has begun.
So, levels are important, if you are trying to make a point, but they are no sort of handhold or status, and you shouldn't base all of your actions around them. This may seems a bit confusing, but I hope you get the point.
