CHAPTER 1Hatharian looked to the sky, a red veil had started clinging to it for days now, where it was once regally blue, was now red and abysmal. A scorched wind blew across Hatharian's face, it ever presently whistled dust along it, leaving dirty marks above his nose. His long pointy ears twitched, like one would if they felt uncomfortable. Hatharian stilled his robes which were aflutter in the wind, which was now getting stronger, after which, Hatharian took his staff from the floor. His time of wait was finally over.

Dagmar woke from his sleep. He had dreamt evil, his face filled with shock, sweat beaded from his face and fell to the ground. He slipped from his cloth bed and rushed his doublet on. He then speedily pulled on some white pig skin trousers. A wind blew heavily against his window, So much so that the whole thing blew open, it put out the roaring flame in a Fireplace just inches away from Dagmar, jumped back as the wind brought shock through the whole room. His gilded chandelier shook, showing tell-tale signs of breaking, creaking as it swung backwards to the drift.
Dagmar hastily ran to the window and slammed it shut.

After which he rushed to his desk, he took a quill and parchment, he wrote hastily of his dream before covering it with the palm of his hand. He whispered two words into his hand. "Dahr tagh" The parchment folded into itself and vanished. Dagmar walked peacefully over to his bedside table, a fetid stench filling the air close to it. He pulled to his full extent that the draw on the table almost fell out entirely, inside was a sword, there were strange etchings on the blade, filled with gold. The blade itself was made of Gradonite, which was the strongest metal in all of Arisia, the hilt was no push-over either, it too was made of Gradonite and wrapped with the finest silk Arisia had to offer. At the base of the hilt lay a single gem, protected by a steel protection plate.

The Gem was pulsing with magical power. Dagmar remember when he had received this blade from the oldest elder in all of Arisia, Elder Morgo. He said that the blade had contained such power to slay dragons. And therefore the etchings on the blade translated to "The Dragons Bane." Dagmar knew what he had to do.

CHAPTER 2
The wind whistled in Dagmar's ears, a sweat slowly broke and gracefully glided down his cheek, his glanced to his right, nothing but the dusty desert. He looked to his left, the icy cold tundra awaited him... But where would he go? Where would they be? Dagmar knew just right, he ran to the glacier portal, it glistened to his touch, it then suddenly tugged to his very soul, absorbing it into itself. Dagmar no longer stood in his portal room, but now the icy tundra to the south.

A cold wind blew across Dagmar's face, dancing and leaving miniscule shards of snow across his face, damn the weather, why had he not worn warmer clothes other than his iron straps? He looked forward. The glacier had changed since his last visit, where there had once been icy sculptures was now water. He heard a sharp ear-piercing screech to the distance, he valiantly took The Dragons Bane in hand, he knew what creature that was, this is what he came for.

A Dragon landed in-front of Dagmar, it's blue scales glistening like gems, it's large talons puncturing into the icey snow. It gave a roar to the air, challaging Dagmar to combat. But Dagmar could see past the creatures features and knew he would win, he brought his sword in the air, accepting the challange, he lunged forward, penetrating the dragons side, the blade sliced through it's scales and deep into it's flesh, blood spray along the snow, burning through it. The dragon gave a wretched roar which broke into the sky. Dagmar could even see it, the roar formed an icy veil in the sky, the beast looked toward Dagmar, repeating the roar, an icy cold wind rushed to Dagmar, it curled and splintered into Dagmar's heart. Ice swarmed him, he was soon frozen.

The ice withstood some magic, but Dagmar knew better, he yelled "Hismah dou vah!" The ice exploded and razor shards flew to the dragon, stabbing into it's eyes, the beast dropped to the floor. But it was not dead. Dagmar went to the dragon to celebrate his victory, he stood on the dragon, he launched his sword into the air. "I win!" He yelled through the tundra. Oh, but that was his biggest mistake. The Dragon grabbed him with it's ivory teeth, taking Dagmar to the floor, the dragon started chewing on Dagmar, who knew it was too late to escape, he knew he would die.

An arrow flied to the dragon, out of nowhere it came, whistling through the air, puncturing the dragon through the head and into the skull. The arrow went deep. The dragon stopped with Dagmar and spat him out. The dragon stood and walked to it's target, seething with rage, the beast let forth a jet of ice from it's elegant maw. A dark arrow, flew and pierced the beasts muzzle. The dragon grabbed Dagmars savior. The savior, who was a man, stabbed the beasts hand, piercing through it's scaled into it's flesh, rending through it's veins, breaking the sinewy muscle inside. The dragon dropped the savior, having had enough and died on the floor.
