Here's some old and forgotten facts and things about the game we all love and hate; Minecraft!

On May 17, 2009, 04:24:07 AM, Markus Persson posted an alpha version of Minecraft to the Feedback forum on TIGSource.com It was made as an Java Applet rather than downloading the game files like it is now.
This was the screenshot that he posted

Nobody really knows what that Steve character in the background is.
When Notch posted that first Minecraft link, the game was only at version 0.0.11a.
The first reply on the post came after 7 minutes and 57 seconds by a use called Schtee on the TIG forums. He remarked how "their animations are pretty crazy". Twenty minutes after the launch, Notch posted a comment outlining his ideas for the game. What's striking here is how early on he had ideas that wouldn't be implemented till just shortly before Minecraft's 1.0 release, like the need to eat in Survival mode.
"Survival mode
Singleplayer / cooperative. You have a health bar and need to eat in order to keep healthy. You have to gather the materials you wish to use, and construction takes time. Mining through stone is slower than through dirt.
Monsters, animals, play on levels made in Creative mode, or play on random levels."
49 minutes later, forum user Muku posted what is possibly the first every user-shared MC creation.

Yeah, it's a single-block wide bridge, four blocks off the ground. :3

Three days before posting the public release,Notch wrote on his blog: "The awesome but insane people in #tigirc helped me come up with a title for this game, and it’s Minecraft: Order of the Stone."
(IRC refers to the chatting website.)

Following a paid trip and employment offer from Valve Corporation in early September 2010, Markus Persson (Notch) founded Mojang alongside his best friend Jakob Porsér, with Carl Manneh later brought in as a CEO for the company.Notch desired to run a independent game development studio for the continued development of Minecraft.Within a year, Mojang had expanded to 12 employees. They had started developing their second game, Scrolls, as well. As of January 2014, they have 34 employees, working on Minecraft updates for all versions and other games like Scrolls.
That's all for know but I will be updating this blog with more information.
