PERSONALISE MINECRAFT
One problem we all fall subject to one way or another, is recreating something we've seen in a tutorial. Now I'm not going to be so bold as to say this is wrong, but the problem about it is when we recreate it block for block! Leaving no room for our own creative and personal touch! I will however go ahead and state that if you are looking for something specific and what is in the tutorial is how you want it, then by all means go ahead. But for those like me who enjoy creating and inventing, and quite frankly forget how to have fun on the game at time then I advice you continue reading.
WHO ARE YOU?
Who are you as a person? Or better that, who are you as a minecraft player? On my first builds I was hooked on creating projects personal to my own hobbies and interests such as; Movies, Coffee (starbucks), Captain America, Zombies etc... I remember being thrilled as I created a cinema and a Starbucks coffee shop. Then, as I progressed as a player I then warmed onto certain items and ways of playing.
Many of my friends knew me to be a HUGE fan of Lapis Lazulite! So all of my builds had to incorporate Lapis blocks as the 'holy block' in some sense. I even went as far as to create a Lapis church! So what is your character, what about you defines your personality? Harness that, and create something unique and exciting for yourself!
DONT FORGET WHO YOU ARE!
YOU ARE DRAGONBORN! Haha, well maybe not! But consistency and staying true to who you are is not only a good trait to have in Minecraft, but it is also a blessing in life. You will be able to see your builds flourish and harmonise as one big project if you stay with your theme; and your theme is YOU.
TIP: When you watch a tutorial on how to create a functioning redstone contraption, follow the mechanics but not the asthetics. If possible, try to use a tutorial as a last resort! Because you will feel much more passionate about your build if you created it yourself.
REGRETS & GROVELING
I do have an apology to make to my followers, I know there weren't many of you but I did create a strong relationship with a lot of you. I ran out of steam whilst in my prime at 4 consecutive pop reels, building an audience naturally and healthily, but suddenly I fell and missed a day. This day then turned into 2 days, these turned into a week, weeks turned into months and so now I am back, with a new view of responsibility in my head and ready to return.
In order to return in a new way I am thinking of creating video content exclusive to this blog to expand the brand and entertainment value of my account. What do you guys think?
Thanks for reading!
