The village is quiet tonight.
The villagers were still wandering aimlessly, clapping at bushes and trees with no apparent reason.
I like it like this. No war, no death, no destruction.
But I know it will not stay like this, it will be exactly like that from dawn to dusk.
At least, that's how it's been since the Goblins killed my siblings.
You see, I used to not be the only Barbarian King around here, I had many identical looking brothers, as well as many pink-haired sisters.
That was, until the Goblin Prince sent his greatest army to destroy us and steal our gold.
That battle still brings nightmares to me to this day. I was fighting back as well, but since I was the youngest amongst all of them, I was not that big of a threat.
When the last Goblin was killed, my final brother was killed as well.
His final words haunt me, as I feel I am not worthy to fulfill his wishes.
"Brother." he had said, "watch over this village. Please. I know you are able, protect our village, but most important of all, do not let us die in vein. I want this battle to represent our village, that we can stand agaisnt even the largest armies known to the Clans. Recruit more to help protect, as you can't accomplish this task alone. Goodbye, brother."
Then he passed.
Since that day, I've done as I was told.
I started by recruiting many like me and my sisters, the men with swords and armor, the women with bows and arrows.
Except they were much smaller, I could hold one in my hands, though I did not complain, as they were strong soldiers.
The women looked much like my sisters, too, but the same size as the tiny men.
They proved worthy enough, but soon we needed bulkier people.
I came across a larger creature's base, and recruited their village to help protect mine.
They like to be called the Giants.
Wow, throughout this tale, I did not notice it is about the break dawn.
I must take my leave, go collect from the collectors and mines and drills, then get ready to defend, again..
