The story is a very long one, so I put the different sections in different spoilers. Each chapter is roughly 15 pages long on a google doc, so it'll be a lot to read. It would be nice to receive some criticism (hopefully constructive) but reading it is enough. Actually reading it is a very good thing; no one I know has ever read the entire thing besides me, the creator. So enjoy I guess!

Also, it'd be nice if you could point out any mistakes I make.
If you haven't read chapter 2, you can read it here.

They're Alien Enough (First 4 Sections)

“What do you think this is?” He yelled, becoming agitated at that which I had caused,”Some playground of yours?”. “I didn’t mean to mentor!” I told him, still trying to get over the fact that they had condemned me to do it in recompense of the damage I had done. “Did you really think they wouldn’t notice that you made 2 other realms accessible in that region? Do you think they mind? More importantly, what were you thinking?” My mentor yelled at me, still angry at my latest achievement upon my given planet. “I thought it would fix them. The creatures were imperfect, I thought I could fix what they lacked by tapping into the perfect version of them.” I told him, trying to show him my intentions for creating the disturbance in the field. At that instant two militants appeared beside me and grabbed me by the appendages. I squirmed, but they wouldn’t release me, and they took me to the shipment center.

The man who killed Zacharias appeared in the year 4867, on the asteroid Pilikijuia, clutching the suitcase within his hands. As you already know, this thing was no human being in physical aspects, but something close in what the circuitry held. The asteroid was only a temporary place for the remaining humans to live, it would only last for another year, so the people of the asteroid were frantically trying to relocate their species to the planet they had just discovered. “Crey! You’re back!” A person greeted the being, or robot if you would like to say. I can’t quite say this person was a human, for he was a human descendant, they all were. But what life on an asteroid had done was not only irreversible, but for your sake, no longer human.

His face to you would be repulsive, covered in a thick scale-like skin that protected the person from any harmful radiation. His eyes were enormous in comparison to his head, but even his head was enormous in comparison to yours. Most the others on the asteroid looked like this, some more grey than green, less scales than others, but overall these humans considered themselves people, still used a language of sorts and thought themselves to be much more attractive than those ugly things that lived on earth about 2,000 years ago. They were in some ways heavily biased against the people of the past, but at the current moment they needed to steal a piece of technology that couldn’t be made with the limited resources on the asteroid.

Crey handed him the suitcase and told him, “I killed the person whom you assigned me to kill.”. The future being smiled, happy that his father had been avenged, but happier still that his brother’s programming was still working after the blast. “How do you like the new update?” Crey’s brother asked him, opening the suitcase to examine the contents it held within. “It is hard to get used to the new body. I kind of wish you had done this with someone else, it would really help me to be able to converse about this change.” Crey told him, examining his metal hands. “Crey, you know they won’t let us do it. They can’t shut you down because it goes against our rules.” His brother told him, picking up one of the bottles Crey had recovered.

“I know, but I had a body like yours before. I miss the old feel beneath my feet, the sight of my eyes and the smell that which I perceived. It is despairing being the only one here Eak.” Crey said, lamenting the loss of his body during the war. Eak put his hand on Crey’s shoulder,”I know how it feels. I was the first test subject remember? I’ll see if they can work on the update a bit faster, but you know that we’ll need you to keep on getting us supplies right? We only have one year, and if we don’t make it, none of us will survive.”. Eak walked to a structure that was directly beneath the dome’s center. Crey looked at the dome that surrounded them, he never really noted much about it, being something that was always up, but it looked new. “Eak, what happened to the dome?” Crey asked him, motioning towards the giant field of energy that granted life to all those beneath.

“There was a raid of them, you know those things. Gui says they should be called Exnigs, but we can’t exactly name what we can’t see. We had to fix and update it, or if not all the air would’ve flown out of the field.” Eak told Crey, fitting the suitcase on top of a stand that had holographic screens all around it. These screens were only seen and controlled by the beings themselves by the simple act of thought. Eak pulled out the specimen that which Crey had captured, shaking the jar enough to agitate the creature within. “Crey, we’ve prepared the next suitcase for you. This time we’re sending a few of us disguised as they, just to try and keep the public from panicking.” Eak told him. “How are you intending on that?” Crey asked curious to know how this was going to work. “We’ll send them in as men wearing their importance apparel and asking them to keep the secret safe.” Eak said, handing the new suitcase to Crey.

Menace crawled around the desert in the year 2479, trying to find that tasty bug he had seen his mother eat before. He started to walk, but then stopped, then started and shakily moved towards an area in which he saw the bugs. There had been some dew in the morning, which was supplying him with drinking water for the time being. He was different from the others of his species, less thorns and no false head on the back of his neck, but nonetheless a lizard. He smelled the ants nearby, there was an entire colony of them! He stopped as soon as he got close enough, waiting on the ants to crawl near him.

Then there was a large shadow cast over him, and it was a big scary one to him. Before he had any chance to react, a giant jar was shoved on top of the poor lizard, and soon enough Menace became well-acquainted with the person who captured him. Mac put the specimen into his suitcase along with the other reptilian specimens he had captured; a poisonous snake, chameleon, crocodile, sea snake, and a basilisk lizard. They were there, in the dark for an entire day, it was enough to make any human go insane. When it was finally opened, they all found themselves in some foreign world of metal, lights and humans.

“I have the specimens!” Mac said aloud to the crew around him, showing off the creatures he had just captured. Menace stood still, hopefully the creatures wouldn’t notice the new snack under containment. The scientist took the specimens and started sticking some pointy things into each of them, all but the thorny devil that was still standing still inside the jar. Mac picked up the jar, holding it up to his face and told the lizard inside of it,”Don’t worry, we have something special for you.”.

Menace didn’t know that they had extracted DNA strings and programmed a virus to edit those strings into the ones of the reptiles around him. He didn’t know that they were trying to develop a sort of super-lizard that the military would use, nor that the injection would make him sick, all he knew is that a sort of needle was inserted into his skin and it pumped something throughout his circulatory system. “He’ll be ready tomorrow,” Mac assured the tired scientists,”In the meantime go take a break, you all deserve it.”. They left Menace inside of a metal room that had a window for one of the walls, the lights still on. Menace felt something inside of him churn, he didn’t like the feel of it, and he knew that it wasn’t going to leave him alone this night. Yes, he knew, tonight was going to be a long one.

Cody didn’t know what the thing was, it looked like it was human, it had human clothes, but it was weird. It somehow made sculptures faster than he could poke at the ground, and it was trying to scale a mountain full of hazards that seemed so impossible to overcome. Cody was protected from any air pollutants thanks to the toaster-hat on his head but this human-thing didn’t seem capable of that. Cody still had to go back in time a bit to contact the future dogs, but it really didn’t matter when he went back in time, because he would still go back to the same time no matter what.

“Why are you here?” The archivist asked Cody, curious as to why the dog was in this time. “I’m here to save my species.” He said, which was responded with,”At whose expense?”. “What do you mean?” Cody asked. “One species has to suffer for other species to prosper, it’s a simple fact of life.” He said, “One example is the men who lived here a long time ago. They prospered indeed, but due to their prospering they killed off many types of animals.”. “I’m trying to save my species from being destroyed by the Black Hound.” Cody said, ”He’s an evil dog who goes around and kills people.”. “It’s at his expense isn’t it?” The archivist said, “ Who exactly does this creature kill?”. “He kills random people, sometimes prospectors, ship loaners, one time he killed a civilian.” Cody concluded, showing clearly that he was not very informed upon The Black Hound’s purposes.

“ What makes you think this dog would want to destroy you?” The human thing questioned, still dubious that he was evil. Cody then became slightly quiet, remembering what the evil dog had done to Spot. He then let out with a sob,” He killed my friend.”. He began to weep, “I couldn’t save him from the Black Hound, he destroyed our ship and we fell. We fell down and I lived, I lived! Why did I live and he die?”. The human thing, having little experience with crying furry animals then proceeded to rest his eyes, as it seemed he was not necessary in this moment. Cody cried a bit more, and he eventually fell asleep, but was awakened shortly by another loud shriek, supposedly being emitted by the Shrilew.

The human thing awakened, and told Cody,”The Shrilew will notice us, we have to scale the mountain right now.”. Cody packed what little belongings he had into his suit’s pockets, the human-thing watching the strange process carefully as if some monster would come out of it and gobble them all up. Cody stepped out the door and began to walk straight ahead into the cloudy haze, but was stopped by the human-thing’s reminder that the mountain was in the opposite direction. “I knew that.” Cody said, turning around and beginning to walk towards the mountain with the human-thing walking right behind him.

Cody could barely see anything in the dark grey mist that blanketed the surface of the earth. He could see the start of a mountain up ahead, a bunch of boulders and rocks with a path in between. Cody could feel the wind in his fur begin to speed up and become warmer. Then there was a loud piercing shriek, one so loud and high-pitched it caused Cody to fall to his knees and cover his ears. “They have found us, we have to hurry! There is a cave up the trail we can hide in.” The man-thing said, pulling Cody back onto all fours and quickening his pace a little. Cody glanced back just enough to catch a sight of the Shrilew’s silhouette.

He could see a pair of gaping jaws attached to a giant worm-like body that was flying in the air. That was all it took to get Cody running full steam ahead, left then right and left again. They had already scaled a good 20 feet on the rocky path, but the cave was still nowhere in sight and the Shrilew was coming near. Cody began to scamper up a boulder, but for some reason even though he was tightly gripping the boulder’s face he was somehow sliding downwards. He looked down and saw a giant scaled head, complete with spinning teeth, snake tongue, large eyes and a gaping jaw. Behind that head lay a giant snake body with winged legs protruding out from it every now and then. On the wings many tentacles sprouted out, that sprouted 3 or 4 other tentacles that bore 5 or 6 more tentacles.

The creature tilted its head to better view the creature, and as he did so Cody kicked its eye, causing it to shut its jaw and emit a loud humming noise. Cody felt the pull go away, and was able to scramble away from the beast as soon as it snapped at him. “You fool!” The man-thing yelled, “That was a baby, now you’ve gotten the parent’s attention on us!”. They climbed up the face of another boulder about 20 feet high. Cody reached the top, panting from the exercise he had just done. The man stopped walking along the trail, turned around and said,”We have to hurry, the cave is just ahead, but . . .”.

The man-thing was cut off by a loud pulse of sound coming from somewhere in the dark-mist. There was a loud roar, and the mist was blown away, revealing a giant scaled behemoth of a Shrilew, scaring the life out of Cody’s body. The giant creature spread out its wings, covering up the sun as it did, beginning to fan out the things vertically. “Oh no, it’s displaying it’s wings” The man-thing said,”It’s trying to cause the opponent to back off.”. Before Cody could ask who the opponent was another Shrilew just as massive appeared on the other side of them, gaping its jaws as wide as possible. They were a good half a mile tall, their worm-bodies stretching out for many kilometers.

They began to flap their wings and take to the skies, causing massively potent winds to hit the creatures caught in between. Cody and the man-thing scrambled to the cave, taking refuge inside from the storm and creatures outside. The two creatures scraped each other’s bodies with the tentacles that came from the tentacles that came from larger tentacles attached to their wings. Up above the clouds they lunged at one another, attempting to bite each other in the neck or somewhere fatal to end the bitter dispute. The winds sped up in an attempt to knock each other off balance, and it was working on one of the Shrilews. Inside the cave, Cody and the man-thing sat, both scared that the Shrilew’s tentacles would poke into the cave full of defenseless creatures. They sat there for a long time, but in all those hours the tentacles never went into the cave, the Shrilew quit battling, and all was quiet for many more hours.

Loss and Change (Next 3 Sections)

Edmund decided to add a sentence to the beginning of the paragraph for no apparent reason. The lights turned on around us, and there coming into the room was the wizard ogre. He fiddled with things around the area, and left, he continued to do this pattern every day. Sometimes he would move us into a different landscape, sometimes stick needles into all of us, but he would always come back, no matter what. We decided after the 76th day (or was it the 67th?) to get out of the glass cage he had put us in, but the one question was how. So I asked everyone if they had any ideas.

George was a bit confused what this ‘glass’ thing was, but suggested we use a rope to climb down from the giant metal thing. He then ran into the glass and splat into a perfect circle for all of us to see. “We could use our fingers to climb out of here!” Edward said, then attempted to spider-man his way up the glass, only succeeding in wiping his fingers across the same piece of graphene glass over and over and over and over and over again. Malley kept running around the cage, “I THINK ITS EATING ME!!!” he screamed. Charles and Charley were attempting to hold their breaths, with Matt leaning against them, still closing his eyes and deeply breathing.

“We could use Phil to somehow pop the top of the cage off, he is very fast.” George suggested, pointing to the hyperactive marshmallow that was running in circles on the roof somehow. David had an idea, but didn’t know how to express it, so he just sat there trying to not say anything but at the same time trying to tell me something. I looked at Edmund, a few feet behind him was a giant crowbar, maybe it could somehow smash the glass. “Hey Edmund!” I said,”Do you think there is any way to get some sugar to smash this glass?”. Edmund looked at me and picked up that crowbar.

“What is sugar going to do to help us?” I asked him.”I’ll just switch those words.” He said, and was now holding a full-size crowbar. The crowbar somehow got into the glass cage and smashed the walls, sending bits of glass all over the place. “We don’t have a lot of time, they are coming.” Edmund said, dropping the giant crowbar-thing down and beginning to drag along Matt. Then there was a loud scream,”IT’S GOING TO EAT ME!!!” as Malley jumped off with Phil right behind him. We all peered over the edge to see if they had survived the giant fall and to our surprise they were still alive, however they were now marshmallow pancakes on the floor.

“New plan!” I said, and followed suit, jumping off the giant thing that our glass cage once was upon. We managed to get down and unsplat us back into normal shaped Marshamals, which took quite a while considering we had only our gooey hands to unpeel each other off with. There was a sort of cave in the giant cliff-thing we had all leaped off of, which none of us were eager to explore. That was until the lights turned on around us, revealing the giant body of the wizard ogre walking over to where we used to be. We all ran into the cave, hoping that maybe what we thought was in there wasn’t in there.

As I stood at the entrance pushing my fellow Marshamals inside there was a loud bellow from the giant ogre wizard, instantly causing us all to rush into the cave. I managed to follow behind the last Marshamal and narrowly escape the ogre’s flailing hand. We all ran deeper into the cave, moving faster the more scared we became of the giant ogre’s fits. I don’t recall how long we ran. but I do know that once we started we couldn’t stop running, we had never felt such a fear before.

The cave was completely flat on all of its sides, and it twisted very sharply, copying the way the entire landscape was like. It didn’t seem natural to us, the whole square thing, I mean we felt like everything should be more round, but even to us the place was oddly perfectly square as if someone had built the landscape. It was also very cold, the entire thing was cold compared to the environment we had just been in. It was cold enough for Phil to move at half of his normal running speed, but not cold enough to stop him from running up a wall, on the ceiling, and back down again around us multiple times per second. Harry finally opened his eyes, and to our surprise let loose many photons into the cave, illuminating the steel-graphene combination cave.

Using a combination of Harry’s light-up eyes and Phil’s hyperactivity we were able to explore the cave a lot faster, but a bit more painfully. We all did a sort of congo line, grabbing onto Phil who ran around with Harry in his clasp. Every single time we turned you were able to hear about 8 different Marshamals splat into the cave wall and shortly afterwards came the Marshamal’s exclamations of pain. We only got past 2 turns before something began to happen to the cave. It began to tremble a bit, seemingly unnoticeable to many, but the tremble grew more and more. Suddenly behind us the cave turned into small metallic looking dust. It spread round like a sort of virus, moving quickly around the cave, but not fast enough to dustify the cave surrounding Phil as he ran along.

That was what we thought until we turned around another corner and saw that ahead of us the cave was already turning into floating dust particles. “Run Phil! Run!” I yelled, trying to keep holding onto Phil’s back and the Marshamal directly behind me. However the cave floor beneath his feet turned into floating dust, causing the entire train of marshmallow people to plummet down through a dark and empty abyss. As we were falling I jerked Phil to my left side towards a cave that was beginning to reform from the dust particles.

As soon as we all got inside of the reforming cave it hardened back into the alloy we were able to walk on with ease. After unsticking ourselves from the cave floor we looked around, a bit scared by what had just occurred, and we slowly reformed the train we had been in. After a while of that Phil was able to find the exit of the cave, which led out to a giant licorice-forest. He managed to somehow pry open the lid that was on the end of the cave, allowing us to exit the tunnel. I turned around and began to count how many of us remained from all that had occurred. Oh no. I thought to myself, There are only 9 others.

Charles was the first to notice this fact, and when he did he wasn’t at all happy. “We left Charley behind in the tunnel!” He screamed, beginning to walk towards the giant tunnel but was stopped by Edmund and I. “We’re not going to risk another trip back.” I told Charles. He looked at me in a devastated way and said,”We can’t just leave Charley behind. What if something happens to him? I’m going back.”. “Look, Charles, we’d love to get him, we really would but we’re not risking our species for just one of us.” I told him, attempting to convince him to stay with us. “We can’t just leave him!” Charles repeated, still rather convinced we should all go back to find Charley.

“We’ll take a vote then. Who wants to go back and save Charley?” Edmund asked, turning around towards the rest of us. No one raised their hands. Charles looked hurt at us and said,”You don’t care.”, he then ran back into the tunnel to save Charley. We had to move on, it wouldn’t be long until the wizard ogres would come after us and capture us back again in that glass cage. However, we couldn’t help but look back every now and then at that tunnel, we had left behind 2 of ours for the sake of our species. None of us could help but feel a bit of guilt, but we had to move on, for our own good.

The Black Hound walked along the shore of the planet, staring up at the beautiful moon. Behind him was his favorite Hijul, a small rat-like creature that scurried along the beaches. The black hound stopped walking and petted his one-eyed creature, which it responded in vibrating happily. The black hound knew he had to go back to his work in order to earn enough money to save this planet full of amazing creatures. But he just couldn’t get himself to leave this beautiful planet, it was as if it was his home. There were many creatures here, many of which he admired from a distance, each specializing in hunting a different species and bonding with those in its own species.

The mining companies didn’t see it that way, no one in this galaxy saw this world as he did; a giant beautiful paradise full with animals. He never understood how anyone could detest something like a Hijul, nor could he comprehend why anyone would blow up the planet just to get the resources hidden inside of the place. He dedicated his life to this planet’s survival, and in turn was banished from Excronite and called a villain. “They’ll never understand Heber.” He said, petting this creature affectionately.

He walked down the beach, feeling the heavy water batter against his feet. He took a deep breath of the atmosphere, felt the wind, saw the plant-like creatures wave in the breeze. It was all calm, until in the distance the black hound noticed a giant ship approaching. “No.” The black hound said in disbelief, but the object kept coming in faster, and soon he realized it was a missile. The black hound called out for his Shantin, and the giant serpentine whale obeyed, surfacing to allow the black hound to grip onto his back.

“ You need to stop the incoming missile!” The black hound told his crew, signalling to his Shantin to swim away. The black hound tried to make the missile stop with his abilities, but they didn’t seem to work anymore. They headed towards the missile, hoping that getting closer would help the black hound move it away, but it wouldn’t work. He tried everything, but soon enough he found out that it was futile. He could only watch in fear as the missile hit the ground, splitting the planet in two and destroying all that was alive on that planet. Everything but the black hound, who was sent adrift into the oceans.

It is hard for me to turn chemical scents into words for your mind to understand. I am nowhere near a human, and the smells aren’t the same as you smell. They aren’t anywhere in what you call the 3 dimensions. They are materials, objects in other ‘dimensions’, that release waves out into the area. You wouldn’t be able to understand it if I told you the detailed explanation, heck you think 1 ‘dimension’ is four. The physical dimension is one we don’t interact a whole lot with, much less understand. It’s a weird piece of reality, and I do not see how you understand the meaning of this, but I’ll try and translate into your speak.

You would never be able to see our ‘alien’ species, we operate using different waves than you do. If you could see us, then we’d resemble a mix of an accordion and some type of green caterpillar. It would frighten you if we were physical, but thankfully we aren’t in that weird ‘linear’ world of spontaneity. We each get a planet to manipulate for the greater good, I got the planet that you are currently inhabiting. Where do we live? I’ve been asked that by many of the observers, other species who encounter us.

We do not live in a place, or a region, we just live. It’s hard to explain it to you since there are no words to describe where we live, but the closest I can find in human words to describe it is non-existence. My planet was assigned to me by the others, and it was an oddball of incontinuity. Everyone else got these really nice 15-dimensional worlds that weren’t spheres, and then mine was a 3 dimensional. You can argue that your world is 4 dimensions, but trust me it is only 3. All your world is made of is spacetime, the ‘field’ and the ‘psyche’.

I know by now that many will tell me it is 4, not one dimension of space-time. Now answer this then; take a cube, and draw a line from opposite corners of the cube. It is encompassing all 3 of your ‘dimensions’, but it’s just a line! It is also encompassing the 4th ‘dimension’, and it is only one line. That is the reason why we consider space-time just one dimension, it can be represented by 1 line, which is one dimension.

I began to observe this planet at first, but I began to infuriate myself in understanding all this hippocritic movement and stupid behavior. These things divided themselves into smaller groups, many of which made no sense at all. They had the animal rights group which supposedly advocated for animal rights, but what they really did was help animal coalesce with humans. Mass murderers help animals more than animal rights groups in all actuality.

I soon decided it was enough, I’d try and fix them, but how exactly? I don’t know how it occurred to me but I decided that if we switched their technology from guns to more non-lethal things they might not kill themselves so fast. I thought if I switched their technology and made it so they couldn’t remember how to make it or make it at all they would stop being this way and would turn into better people. So in your calendar year of 2845 I decided to switch the technology, but my plan backfired and the humans got even worse.

I had had enough of this, this trying to comprehend the human’s unruly behavior. It irked me, it tortured me, it infuriated me every step of the way, and I could not get it out of my mind. Then a new idea dawned upon me, one that would fix the planet’s inhabitants of 500 years ago. So in 3011 I decided to cause the event that would supposedly fix the planet that which I owned. However soon enough they found out what I had done to my planet, and they were not the happiest of creatures to roam the universe.

They said I was the one needing fixing, so they consulted the others on how to address the situation. In the end I was condemned to record any events that happened to my planet, which was reassigned to another one of my kind. It was hard to cope with and understand at first, but soon enough I figured out the human body. None of this made sense, how things would cause others, and it surprised me to know how ignorant of the truth the beings on this planet were. There were beings who understood part of the reality, but they never saw the full picture of all of this.

If I were to tell you the truth, you would refuse it, you’d say it was not true. That is the very nature of your species, and it is very frustrating seeing how humans react to the truth. The more you know about truth, the more depressed your species becomes, it feels no longer in control. There are ways to see the universe that are true, but in the end the greater truth can make you depressed. You wouldn’t understand what I mean, and I do not want to tell you the reality, for many of you would suicide in despair. You have no idea how depressing it is to be a human, to be forced to learn about these illogical creatures, and worst of all have to endure all the pains of human. I see why your world was so full of problems as you call them, for where life lies there will always be problems.

The Unknown Is Here (Next 3 Sections)

William Barnes was lucky enough to be alive, even luckier to be onboard the ‘Nesta’ and even more luckier because he was heading to Argon. William Barnes was busy staring out the window at the strange creatures swimming in the ocean surrounding him. They were rather normal to the crew members moving about around William, but to him and you they were the strangest of things. All around the Nesta there was an assortment of fish, mollusks, and crustaceans.

It was only about 500 years after your age, but for some reason these creatures were a whole lot more different than the ones you see today. There were giant arthropods that swam around, resembling a mix of a frilled shark and a pillbug. Squids floated around the ship, dangling their 20-ft tentacles into the krill filled waters. William Barnes was interrupted from his viewing of the creatures by the captain’s voice, informing him that Argon was just a few meters away.

Sure enough, just a few meters away was Argon’s dock, illuminated by some foreign light source located somewhere beneath the submersible William was in. Bubbles began to appear around the vessel, moving out from underneath it. There was a loud blaring noise, and then the vessel shuddered, attaching itself to the underwater city. The captain told them to get into Argon, saying that he would be behind them to show them to their rooms. William grabbed his belongings and entered the underwater city, looking at the strange underwater landscape around him.

They made sure they looked fully human, checking each other to make sure the people never figured out. They didn’t know exactly why, but seemingly these articles of clothing signified a sort of power, they were hoping that meaning would be conveyed to those they were visiting. One of their ships had just been crashed, so they needed for this family to keep quiet. They put on an assortment of items to cover up how truly unhuman these beings were, and to emphasize that they meant business.

They had given the person a dream immediately after they had seen the UFO fly over the sky at a low altitude. The leader of the team signalled they enter the black van, just to blend in with the rest of these automobiles. “Come on, we have work to do.” The leader told the rest of the team. “Why are you using the translator already? We haven’t even gotten to this human’s house.” Came an immediate response from one of the members. “I was just testing them! Last time they broke, so we couldn’t say anything.” The leader responded.

As they boarded the van, the leader stopped one of the members, telling him,”Fulrik, what did I say about the lipstick?”. “ We shouldn’t use so much because we’ll starve.” Fulrik recited, taking another chomp at the lipstick in his hands. “Good. Now get in there and wipe some of it off your lips. They might think you are a messy eater.” The leader said, closing the van door. The driver pulled on his space-distortion mask, causing his abnormally large head to shrink into the size of a human head without making his head any more dense somehow.

The driver had been practicing on the asteroid to drive this strange device, however in the process had knocked out several poles. He had finally mastered his van-driving skills, enough so it didn’t seem like he didn’t have a clue what he was doing (in reality he had no idea what the heck he was doing). They drove down the street, then up another street, and continued up and down streets until they reached the rural farm whose owner was the one they had contacted via dream. They stopped in front of the house, the van door instantly opening on the opposite side of the house door. Out from the van came the beings dressed as men in white shirts, black sunglasses suit and tie.

Maybe not in the most orderliest of fashions, considering that the first one out simply flopped out and was used as a carpet for the rest to step on. They approached the door, making way for the leader to open the door peacefully. It took them a while to figure out that the human’s doors didn’t instantly deactivate, and for a really strange reason their translators kept malfunctioning along with their cloaks during this period. All they could do is stay outside and stare into the house, eliciting a humongous disturbance in audible waves.

The leader took out the device and placed it next to the door, creating the knocking sound and pulled it back into his pocket. The farmer quickly opened the door and saw the men he had seen in his dream. He stood there a bit shocked, so the leader went ahead and asked him if he had seen a UFO. The farmer said he had seen one the night before, heading west towards his siloh. The leader signalled the other men to go find the UFO; and took out another device shaped like a phone. He pushed it against the farmer’s face and told him,”You will not tell anyone.”. The farmer fell to the ground, going into an unconscious state of some kind. The leader pulled him onto a chair, but before he left decided to make the farmer think he was waking up from a brutal hit of sorts.

The leader laid down a branch on top of the farmer’s head and walked away towards the crash site. When he got there the men had already located the flying machine, but the pilot was nowhere to be found. Even stranger there was a sort of tape that wrapped around the area, displaying the colors of yellow and black. One of the team members inserted a hair into a device shaped like a CD, attempting to figure out where this being had gone. He showed the leader the results of the scan; and it quickly alarmed him. He ordered everyone back into the van, they were now heading to Nevada. The results of the scan showed not only who the human who possessed the hair was but also the location where he was at. The hair was from William Barnes; and he was at Area 51.

Cody didn’t know how long the storm was going to last, but he felt safer with this human-thing in front of him. The human-thing just sat there, looking straight down at the ground, as if it held some secret within the ground. Then without warning it stood up, and said,”There is something in the cave, it’s alive.”. Cody became alarmed, and asked him,”What exactly is this creature?” as he rose to all fours. Then from within the deeper parts of the cave came a loud bellowing echo, As Cody turned his head towards the darkened part of the cave two red eyes emanated from it, each the size of a watermelon.

“Do you dare trespass into my cave?” It said, in a loud and deep voice, seemingly it was angered. “We didn’t know.” Cody finally let out in a high-pitched voice. “Go before I-” The creature began to say but all of a sudden his voice became incredibly high-pitched,”destroy you and your….. ”. Cody couldn’t help himself and burst out laughing, unable to contain all that inside himself. The human-thing beside Cody somehow shone a light from his body, revealing a giant cluster of Marshmallow creatures holding up the eyes of the beast.

They all turned towards the two beings, freezing for a few seconds until finally one of them said,”Wizard Ogre And His Dragon!”. Instantly a group of 5 of them began to run deeper into the cave, screaming for their lives. Everyone else seemed indifferent to them, until Cody stopped laughing and commented on how hungry he was. Then every Marshamal stampeded deeper into the cave, some moving faster than Cody could run. “What are those things?” Cody finally asked the human-thing.

“Marshamals. They are mostly harmful to us, but we will need them to make it to the top of the mountain.” The human-thing said, beginning to walk deeper into the cave. “So do we chase them?” Cody asked him, to which the human-thing responded,”Yes. We need them.”.”Oh.” Cody said, then broke into a full sprint down into the cave. They both ran deeper into the cave, pursuing the fleeing Marshamals.

The cave was bigger in size the deeper they went, and soon enough they found themselves at the shore of an underground lake. The Marshamals were cornered against the water, being unable to swim, and were beginning to panic. But before the dog and human-thing could get any of them, another dog and man came from the lake, alarming the Marshamals. From a side cavern came 4 other people along with a robot that resembled those from terminator. They all froze, not knowing what to say, or to do, but they all wanted the Marshmallows now surrounded by beings who wanted to use them for their own purposes.

The Marshamals tried to make it out of the cave, but were quickly stopped by the human-thing. “I need some of you.” He said to them, placing his foot in front of where they were going. “Hey back off of my creations!” One of the men that had come from the side-cave yelled to them. “I’m sorry gentlemen, but I am going to take them.” The black hound said, shaking off the water from his fur as he did. “I’m not a man.” The robot said, which was already obvious. “Me neither.” Crey said, taking off the coat that hid the metals he was made of and wringing the water out of it.

“It doesn’t matter. We have to get out. Now!” One of the Marshamals said in a shrill and panicked voice. “Why should we trust that you aren’t going to ambush us like you did before?” Mac asked, resting the invisible gun he was holding on a boulder next to him. “He will come! He won’t be happy!” The poor thing said, beginning to breathe rapidly. At that moment the cave shook, and giant bubbles came to the surface of the lake. “What was that?” Zacharias asked, pointing to the lake where the bubbles had surfaced. Then the creature rose to its full height, towering over all of them by a good 20 feet, and it said,”It was me.”.

Something Lurks In The Future (Next 3 Sections)

Jeremy was finishing up his sketches of the thing he was going to build. He hadn’t told Claude about it yet, fearing Claude wouldn’t like this creation and would attempt to destroy it. Jeremy wasn’t very eager to show it to anyone, even to Jeremy the creature was a bit strange, to some it might frighten them. Jeremy had decided to create the creature ever since they began to make fun of Jeremy’s odd ways. He was incredibly angry at those who teased him, despite all that Claude, Ebit and Gilliard had done to calm him down. They were a group of tightly knit friends, they usually sat together to help back up one another in any situation.

Jeremy enjoyed creating little contraptions here and there just for fun, which he usually implemented on those who attempted to torment Jeremy. His recent contraption was a dance shock; a flat box that had two small metal rods sticking up to give the person who sat on it a shock. He had made it so if you did get shocked by it, it would send the electrical signal to certain muscles of your body, causing your arms to attempt to mimic what chickens do. He was a bit unusual, he didn’t like most of the popular things, most because he did enjoy the pastries at the store.

He had a different way of eating things, one that is considered rude at the time, but to us it would just seem like he was trying to drink up everything. He had just finished the plans for a robotic-creature, which was the easy part, but he needed some supplies in order to make the creature. Most of what was needed could be easily accessed using his 3D printer, but the other parts were incredibly difficult to acquire. The few parts that he couldn’t get were either rare or locked up in the center control room of the city.

Jeremy didn’t like the thought of stealing anything from the city’s control room, and his project wasn’t going to be of much use anyway, but there was a very strong urge within him to create it. Jeremy could hack into the area without getting caught, but his main concern was that the people in the control room might need the object. Jeremy needed a calibrator, a sort of computer that was able to duplicate itself and organize those duplicates in the way you wished it to be. These were objects a civilian couldn’t have, since if used correctly, you could simultaneously shut every power supply down with these things.

He sat down in his chair, spinning around while thinking. Beside him was a large desk, full of papers and sketches. Behind his chair was the door to his actual room, next to that door was a large wastebin that destroyed any non-organic matter. He didn’t know if he should or not, he could create a new type of robot, but then again they might need the calibrator for some other project of theirs. There was a knock at the door, which surprised Jeremy, he never had anyone come into his room. Jeremy opened the door by imagining it slid upwards. The man stood there, but Jeremy didn’t know this person, so he began to close the door. “No Jeremy,” said the man,”We have work to do.”. It was then that Jeremy looked at this man’s face, and instantly recognized it as an older version of himself.

The black hound punched a ningen in the face as it tried to get a nibble out of him. He had managed to get most of his crew back to the main ship safely along with the items they had caught. However there were still two inside the titanic that refused to go back into the main vehicle without anything valuable. The black hound got onto the leaning titanic, beginning to walk up the vessel. Without warning a ningen from behind grabbed onto his leg, attempting to drag him down with it. The black hound grabbed onto the rail and turned around, getting a good look at the hideous beast.

It was a clinger type of ningen, resembling a small white whale with a human head and arms at the front. These were the ones that would pull the people from the surface into the water, and were the most dangerous of them. The black hound tried to shake it off, but it had a strong clasp on his leg. Then the back hound came out from the water and pulled the ningen with him. This was not unusual to the black hound, as he kept escalating the leaning boat. He took a few more steps and then noticed the two of his crew members that were attempting to drag out a crate across the tilting boat’s upper floor.

“Throw the crate overboard!” The black hound yelled, “We don’t have much time before . . .”. His voice faltered, his ears perked up, beginning to pick up the lowly whistle of the creature he feared most. “Before what?” The two dogs asked him, dragging the crate a few more feet closer to the edge of the titanic. The black hound didn’t answer, and instead ran to the right side of the rail, peering over the edge of it to see if it was there. They only came out during the night, and even then they didn’t surface unless a boat was sinking, making it easier for them to receive snacks.

They used to be able to come out and snatch people all the time during the day in the Mediterranean, but eventually the whirlpool fish died out. The whirlpool fish would normally weaken the boats coming across, making the men onboard easy pickings, but after those things died the men would clobber them with swords more than before. Most of them died due to the disappearance of these fish. They eventually migrated out from there, adapting to the cold climate of the deep sea, abundant with fish we’ve never seen. They moved up north, being where the big blubbery mammals went to every winter, and began to take down boats that crossed through the area. Then the boats became more advanced, so did the humans onboard, making it harder to snatch them without getting shot at. In the following years they would move deep into the ocean, feeding off of the abnormally large creatures below.

The black hound looked down into the sea for a few seconds, waiting for any signs of the creature, but quickly turned his head around as he heard a loud scream from a non-human thing. Behind the black hound was a giant serpentine tentacle, pierced in the head by the black hound behind him using a spear he had found nearby. “It’s here.” The other black hound told the black hound, who immediately grabbed the crate and tossed it overboard. “Get to the iceberg now!” He said, watching a few people tumble down the tilting boat that was at a 120 degree angle.

Then two other serpentine tentacles came from the depth below, each the size of a titanoboa. They travelled down below the dogs, finding the center as other serpentine tentacles poked out of the water. The serpents wrapped around the boat’s center and began to constrict it. The black hound urged them to move, the other black hound jumped off the Titanic and into the water. The two dogs jumped off into the water, one of which landed in the water, and the other wasn’t as lucky and landed on top of the crate they had thrown off. The black hound was about to jump off into the ocean, but one of the serpentine tentacles grabbed him by the waist and tried to drag him down into the icy depths.

He managed to punch his paw into the floor of the titanic and hold on to the floor, but it was at that instant that the squid managed to split the titanic in half, letting loose a current of items that the crew below was catching. Some called this squid the Kraken, others the Scylla and yet others the ayia napa monster. Whatever this snake-tentacled squid freak was or what it was supposed to do isn’t very clear, but what is clear is that at the moment it surfaced. The giant mantle rose up into the sky a good 40 feet, revealing the squid’s massive eyes pointing towards the black hound. During the break he had been flung to the other side of the boat and had somehow not passed out or gone unconscious.

The squid pulled out all of its tentacles from the water and attempted to grab the black hound with them, but before the tentacles could reach the black hound, it sank deep below the surface of the water at such a rapid rate something must have pulled it down. The black hound didn’t really care who pulled it down, he just needed to get back to the iceberg. He managed to swim past all the ningen back to the iceberg ship, and was met by a cheering from his crew. “We should head back,” The black hound said,”We have a lot of items to sell.”.

Menace woke up, he wasn’t very happy this morning with the way his body was. Used to he was a weird sort of thorny devil, but now he was even stranger. His hands now had a sharper claws, and his size had grown from a few inches to almost a full 2 feet. His tail was longer than before, making it harder for him to figure out how to balance himself. He had been receiving injections for the past 5 days, and today he was beginning to grow in size. The previous days all that really happened is that he had lost a few spikes, gotten better sight and was able to kill anything he bit for a strange reason.

Today his tail was being mischievous towards him, making him constantly topple over of his own weight. Not surprisingly this seemed to amuse those outside of the glass cage he had been put into, causing constant laughing from those scientists. They said things which Menace never really understood, and at the end of the day they gave him food, his injection and left, leaving no lights on. Menace had a few crickets and ants in the cage to attack, but it was harder to do in the dark.

It was especially hard to do because his body was changing into something else. The changes took hours to happen, but Menace was already able to notice some of them taking place. He missed a cricket, only managing to bite it on the leg, but after hopping away, it lay dead from poisoning. Menace ate the cricket, not knowing what a poison was, thankfully the scientists had made him immune to the poison before giving him a poisonous bite. That came out a bit weird.

Menace was about to go to sleep, but before he could, he realized something. He was beginning to become conscious. It was his mind beginning to understand this, but I can’t tell you for sure whether Menace was conscious or not. He was able to understand english, but not able to speak it. He understood what he was, where he was, and if he could he’d tell you he is conscious. There is no test to prove what is conscious or not, you decide whether this creature was conscious or not.

Menace came across this, and was a bit startled at the fact that he could form these thoughts. He was a lizard, how was it possible he understood that? In the end his newly conscious brain made him very exhausted, so he fell asleep very quickly. As soon as he did, a person entered the room, took a few things from it and ran out the door quickly and quietly. Menace never noticed William Barnes enter the room, even if he did he wouldn’t have minded.

[spoiler=Literary Elements (Last 3 Sections)]
We’d been running for a long while. Correction, a long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long time, partially due to the fact that the city was a giant circle. We were tired, and decided to go into a giant domed building since it was getting dark. When we did get there, it was surprisingly empty. From what we had heard this building was supposed to have the mayor in it, and supposedly he slept here at night.

However, the domed building was completely empty, except for those big flying things up in the air. They kept running into the domed ceiling, constantly hitting themselves and sometimes falling down a full 20ft. I soon realized we could use these things to get out of here, we just had to guide them because they seemed to lack intelligence. Phil was far ahead of us- literally; he had already lunged atop one of the squeaking beasts. The thing began to flap around, being very startled that a small marshmallow was running all over its body. We all managed to get near to the bat beginning to take off, but quickly ran away as it smashed the dome wall and plummeted down straight at us.

Phil spread out the wings of the bat, causing it to swoop up at the last second. The bat (we later found out it was called) flapped its four wings as hard as it could, causing it to once again smash into the top of the dome, making Phil a white jelloey pancake. “Duck!” I yelled, running away from the site once more. Edmund stood there, and asked,”Ever heard of a jump cut?” . As soon as he said that we were all outside, on bats, heading somewhere we didn’t quite know about. “Edmund, can you get us back?” I asked him, confused as to what happened.

“Fine, I’ll do a flashback!” Edmund said, then my vision began to ripple as if it were water, and after a few seconds it settled, however my vision now lacked color. We were back in the domed building, and the bat crash landed at my feet, letting loose a billowing cloud of dust. I backed away from the bat, and as I did there were other voices in my head, and they didn’t mock me. They were speaking a sort of language, but what they were communicating to each other wouldn’t translate to words. They didn’t have names for each other, they just kind of knew who they were addressing, but they all kept telling the others they needed to get out of here.

The voice in my head mocking me informed them we could help them out if they let us ride on them. They argued to me saying that they might take a long time but they would eventually find a way out. Harry then tapped me on my shoulder and said,”What is that?” shakily pointing into the darkness. “What do you mean? I can’t see it. Where is it?” I asked him, not able to locate what the heck the thing was that Harry had seen.

“It’s been a long time.” A voice from the darkness said,” But it is always nice to see you.”. Immediately the bats began to panic, knowing what the voice’s owner was very well and what the thing was capable of. They swooped down to the our feet, allowing us to jump on top of them as the creature approached them. The bats began to fly away, but before they could go far the Tafectorum reached out its arms and snatched all 5 of the bats from the air. “Did you really think you could just fly away from me?” The being said, infuriated at the latest insult it had received.

As he said that there was a roar from a giant lizard, gaining the attention of the Tafectorum. The Marshamals took this opportunity and spurred their bats to fly away, succeeding to escape the clasp of the Tafectorum. Before he could turn around and grab at the bats, Menace lunged on top of him, knocking it over and onto the ground. Menace used his claws to dig into the Tafectorum, tearing out all the cornflake-cells it was made of.

The bats carried the Marshamals out of the domed building with my guidance. As soon as we got out we heard a person cry out from inside, but it only confused me. Where had that person been hiding all this time? Then my vision rippled, and I found myself on top of the bat, heading to the outer dome. The bats were flapping their wings in a pattern, all four coordinating to move fast forwards. The outer field was a tinge of blue, and it looked like waves rippled over the surface. “How do we get through the field?” I asked aloud. “What are you talking about?” George said, smashing his bat into the field with a splat. David had his eyes closed but was somehow able to maneuver his bat next to mine.

“How about we temporarily deactivate the electricity in this area?” He asked me, aware that electricity was behind this thing. “What is electricity?” I asked him, clueless as to what this new word meant. “I heard them talk about it.” He said pointing down a to a few people several feet below us. “How the heck are we supposed to shut this thing off then?” I asked him, still trying to understand how the heck all this was happening. Then Edward rammed his bat into the field, punching it as he did, and sending out a massive shockwave only visible to Harry. The blow shut down this electricity thing, and knocked out the field long enough for our bats to make it across.

Once we managed to get ourselves across the field reactivated, along with the electricity thing David had told me about. There were a few questions floating around our heads, however everyone’s questions I could hear in my head. Where were we headed? We had no clue as to where this place was, what it was, or why the heck we were as such. We wanted answers, but first we needed to get to a safe place far away from this city. We did find a place, it was a run-down building of sorts, we landed there. We let the bats go away, it was what felt to us the right thing to be done. We turned towards the building, a bit tired, and entered it, unaware of what was lurking inside.

Claude raced outside, his own creations had just escaped the center building, and Menace had attempted to kill the mayor inside of the domed building. Even worse is that somehow they had shut down the electric system for a few short seconds. He ran towards a building located next to where the giant field was, and entered through the front door. It opened, folding downwards into a metal mat. Claude checked the circuitry leading up to the generator, and to his surprise found a black piece of metal wedged into the circuit box. He took it out carefully, doing his best to not accidently cut the light fibres. On the metal piece was a sort of logo, even stranger yet the engraving was moving.

On it were 2 letters,”HM”, a blazing fire engravement behind the letters was moving, looking like a very realistic metal fire. The metal piece resembled a sort of blade, with a handle made out of a different metal that was softer and fluffier. Yes, you read that correctly; quit trying to reread the thing! It said fluffier. It was much fluffier than most the materials you have in your world. I mean time; actually I didn’t, that was correct, but for the sake of not spoiling anything I meant time.

Claude rubbed his hand along the fluffy end of the blade, then picked it up, analyzing it from every possible angle. It then made a noise and startled Claude, causing him to drop it next to an electronic watch. As soon as the blade hit the ground the watch quit working, and began to pump out random times like ‘Muffin time’ and ‘11:14’. He quickly snatched the knife up and pocketed it. He took out a charger out of the cabinet and hooked it up to the electronic parts of the light fibre circuit, reinitiating the systems that didn’t have a backup. He put up the charger and quickly exited the room, heading towards the building in which the mayor resided.

But as he neared the building Menace exited it, beginning to run away from it. Menace tried to get through the field as he did before, but it wasn’t letting him go anymore. Claude rushed towards the building to find the mayor safe and sound, but nonetheless a bit frightened. Menace noted that many of the people inside of the dome were beginning to notice the lizard that was banging on the field. They began to crowd around poor Menace, holding many pointy objects and thrusting them at the abominable beast.

Menace tried to go to the side, he didn’t want to hurt these people, he would never hurt a single person. He did his best to go away from these people, but they didn’t let him go away, they kept blocking him and attempting to stab him in the belly. Ony of the objects managed to pierce his side, and he let out a yelp, scaring away some of the people. If the field wouldn’t open, Menace had no choice but to run through the city in search of another way out.

He tried to jump over the crowd, but accidently knocked a few of them over, causing massive panic to go through the crowd. They began to call him a monster, saying he was a bloodthirsty man-killer. Menace felt hurt, he was not that, he wasn’t what they said he was. But he was a lizard, he couldn’t say anything, the only thing he could do is whimper to show the humans he was sorry. But they wouldn’t listen; they came after him, launching pebbles, wrenches, even knives at the lizard, what was he to do?

Menace tried to run away into the city of licorice-towers and escape the crowd that had formed, but several armed men blocked that option off. Menace couldn’t let them catch him, they’d surely kill him as soon as they could, especially since they thought he had killed people. Menace was sad that they had called him that; he never ate a human in his life, and he couldn’t bring himself to eat one. As he was thinking that one of the men poked him with the rod they had used on the tafectorum, jolting Menace enough to make him scared.

Menace swiped that man away with his claws, knocking the rod out of his hands. He then turned around to face the crowd, using his tail to bat away the other armed men who blocked his path to the city. He let out a roar, stunning the crowd for long enough to jump into the city of licorice towers. Menace instinctively climbed to the top of the forest, being the highest place he could see where no one would be able to get him. He started to sprint, running over the tops of the buildings and causing a great deal of alarm.

He quickly turned his head around, just to check if anyone was following him, and to his surprise a vehicle was beginning to fly at his height. Before Menace could turn around and see that one of the licorice-towers was sticking straight up instead of twining with the others, he smacked into the building, falling down through the canopy of buildings and onto the solid steel sidewalk below. Menace stood still, using the few chromatophores he had to turn slightly more steel-colored.

He could hear the humming of the vehicle’s engine, but he couldn’t see it through the thick canopy of flexible metal. Then there was silence for a few seconds, despairing silence, hung in suspense like the vulture it was. Menace breathed slowly, careful to not make any sound, for if he did, they would get him again and they would try and kill him once more. He didn’t want to hurt these people, even the ones who harmed him, he knew that they thought they were doing the right thing, but they really weren’t.
