The story is a very long one, so I put the different sections in different spoilers. Each chapter is roughly 15 pages long on a google doc, so it'll be a lot to read. It would be nice to receive some criticism (hopefully constructive) but reading it is enough. Actually reading it is a very good thing; no one I know has ever read the entire thing besides me, the creator. So enjoy I guess!

Also, it'd be nice if you could point out any mistakes I make.
If you haven't read chapter 3, you can read it here.

Nuclear Resistance (First Section)

“Where are we going to go?” Billy asked, having the coordinate log pulled up. “It’s going to be a long shot,” The black hound said, taking a sip from his cup,”but we’re heading to the grinder.”. At the mentioning of the grinder, everyone gasped, surprised that he would even suggest going to the grinder. “Why the grinder?” Billy asked, nervously since he knew exactly why it was called the grinder. “Remember how we broke the 5th dimension to save Zorbing?” The black hound said,”Well, we sort of need a new method of traveling forward and backward into time.”.

“You know the grinder only gets you into the future right?” Billy said, not eager to encounter the grinder. “I know. But if we do get to the future . .. remember that one hooded dog?” The black hound said, beginning to form a plan on how to get the device. “Yes, but he didn’t look at all like any of us.” Billy said, still a bit dubious that they had encountered themselves in the future before. “Exactly.” The black hound said, leaving his crew still utterly confused upon what that meant.

“Look. Remember when we sank the titanic? Well, when we were selling the items from that there was a cloaked dog that came to our stand, and remember what he asked for?” The black hound asked his crew. “He asked us if we had thought destroying the 6th dimension . . .” Began one of his crewmates, but was interrupted by the black hound stating that wasn’t where he was going with this. “He asked for the suitcase that we couldn’t open.” Billy said, finally remembering about the suitcase which somehow resisted an atomic bomb dropped on it.

“That suitcase must have the thing we are looking for!” The black hound said, ”Then again we might be wrong and we accidentally mislead ourselves into getting the suitcase by simply going into the future and asking for it.”. “It’s a risky maneuver,” Billy said, still rather frightened by the prospect of going to the grinder. “Does anyone have a better idea?” The black hound asked, eliciting no responses. “We head towards the grinder.” He finally said, and was responded with a few whimpers of fear from the crew. Billy typed in the coordinates and The Bessie turned around, beginning to head towards the grinder. The grinder is a blackhole garden, constantly growing more and more, and as the name states, grinding everything away by flinging what used to be a solar system around.

The Shrilew and Realistic Mirages (Next 2 Sections)

Cody looked at the creature, it was a hideous one indeed. It was a mixture of a snake, arthropod of sorts, a few potato chips, a bit of roboticness in its voice, and a considerable amount of limbs. To begin to describe this thing was a task he was not willing to do, but thankfully the archivist in the room next to Cody was able to accomplish such a feat. Beginning with below the water, the creature seemed to resemble a pillbug of sorts. It like one, had a shell that was heavily armored, consisting of a metal alloy unknown to man, however the shell was somehow living. He says it was, he seems to be able to tell living and non-living things apart, but in my opinion, the shell is non-living, as it is made of metal.

I’m not going to argue this point, as for we do not have a very good way of being able to identify what life is. The archivist might seem like a reliable source to use to identify what is living and what’s not, but he considers some strange things to be living. I’ll never really know whether this creature was alive, because there is no clear line drawn between the non-living and the living. The archivist has drawn his line, but I found a glob of some sort that he considered to be alive, not the bacteria on it, but it was alive according to him.

Its antennae were also made of the same substance, serving only as ears of some sort, however they seemed to also function as arms. The creature’s arms resembled that of a spider’s legs combined with a squid, and some sort of amphibian along with the mix. It’s eyes were like that of a fly, but a bit more spider and humanoid resemblance was added, making it a very terrifying creature indeed. What made it worse was the frightening voice this creature let out, one that made your organs want to leap out of your body and run.

The creature looked down on all the individuals inside of the cave, and said,”You don’t remember me?”. “No. Who or what in the world are you?” Mac said, picking up his invisible gun. “I’m surprised you don’t recognize me Mac,” It said, turning its head towards Mac,”You don’t remember?”. Mac shook his head, confirming that he didn’t know why this being recognized him. “You were young, so was Chuck. He told you it wouldn’t work, he thought you had killed us.” The creature said, swimming closer towards Zac and Mac.

Mac fired a shot at the creature's face, who seemed rather unaffected by the shot, and proceeded to get closer to Mac. At that moment a tentacle from behind Mac shot out and missed, grabbing the creature’s face and pulling it closer to Mac. Mac leaped out of the way with his invisible gun in hand, careful to not touch the Shrilew tentacle that was pulling at the giant arthropod for fear that it would want the easier prey instead. Tentacles began to crawl into the cave, through every crook and cranny, for this Shrilew was severely hungry after the battle.

The android reached out and held the tentacle gripping the arthropod in his hands, and began to heat them up and slowly melt through the tentacle now frantically trying to pull away. Mac turned around to face the cavern and noticed more tentacles beginning to poke their way into the cavern. The tentacles were very much like giant slimy worms, pink in color, how ever their ends resembled more of an elephant trunk. Mac began to shoot at the tentacles, but was put to a halt when one of the tentacles grabbed him by the leg.

The Black Hound told the group,”We have to get out of here.”, as if that were not obvious enough. “No! The Shrilew will be able to kill us easier!” The archivist quickly responded, then slashed down another tentacle crawling into the cave. “Well it’s already going to kill us if we don’t go away.” The Black Hound responded, running towards the exit of the cave that Cody had taken into this cave. The giant arthropod was grasping tentacles and making them attach to another, letting them pull themselves apart. The Marshamals however, seemed rather indifferent to the fighting, until a tentacle protruded from the waters and sucked one of them into the Shrilew.

Then they froze there for a few seconds, a few of them already running and screaming, and soon everyone else was running over the place, up the walls and all over everyone. The Marshamal who had gotten into the Shrilew was running through the tentacle, he was going to destroy the tentacle. His name was Philip, and he was one of the descendants of Phil. He managed to get into the tentacle as far as he could, then began to run around in a circle on the inside of the tentacle. At first nothing much happened, but soon enough the friction was beginning to heat up the flesh of the beast, tearing up the tentacle as it did.

Philip ran faster and faster, tearing more and more, until finally he managed to sever the entire tentacle that which all the tentacles were coming from. The creature let out a roar, not mighty, but more squirrel like than anything else. It quickly attempted to run away from the place that had caused it much pain, doing what it could without using the injured tentacle wing. Philip was about to go back inside and tell the rest of his group that the Shrilew had gone away like a coward, but he heard a noise. It was a very strange noise to him; like something was falling from the sky, but he looked up and nothing was there.

Then a giant beetle-shaped ship crashed on top of the Shrilew, crushing its head completely flat against the ground. The ship resembled a cyclops beetle, it was black in color and at the front it had two protruding metal objects resembling jaws. At the top it had a giant red glass dome, located where you would expect a cyclops beetle to have its eye; on top. Inside the dome there was a giant room filled with many dogs rushing around, drinking some sort of brown fluid and interacting with something Philip couldn’t see. The ‘legs’ of the beetle consisted of 3 parts, forming a Z with the feet of the legs being a giant rocket of some type. The legs could swivel around, and seemed to serve as landing gear as well as they did to maneuver the vehicle.

Then one of the dogs used the speakers on the ship to announce,”Dang it! I thought we were supposed to be invisible!”. “Dude! The speakers are turned on!” One of them said, which was responded with,” The Black Hound said it would look better if we were invisible. Oh well. What’s that below us?”. “You’ve never seen a Shrilew?” The other dog said in disbelief. “Not until now. I thought they were bigger. Huh, I think this thing is dead.” The dog said, looking down at the flattened and rather derped out face below him. The ship began to lift, allowing the creature to raise its head enough to confirm that it was indeed still alive, and also to knock the Bessie closer to Philip.

The ship then promptly fell down, squishing the creature’s body once more. The creature’s eyes were bulging due to the pressure of the ship, and to add to the comical look of this creature, its tongue was sticking out, and its pupils were facing in opposite directions. Philip walked back down the tunnel to check in on the others he had left behind; also eager to leave from the area that had a bad driver. It was worse than he thought it would have been when he came back, a whole lot worse. Someone had stolen his favorite teddy bear!

The arthropod was being detained by the Black Hound, and everyone else was surrounding this creature, asking it questions. “How do you know me?” Mac asked, poking the arthropod with his invisible gun threateningly. “You were very small, very very small. You don’t remember do you? Then again everything about me has changed since then. Do you remember Fruff? You remember what happened to him?” The arthropod responded, asking whether Mac had remembered the event of his dog that which he had lost. “Hold on; THE Fruff?” Cody asked, emphasizing the word THE as he did say so.

“What do you mean THE Fruff?” Mac asked,”He just got lost one day in the park.”. “It was me who took him. Remember the thing you saw? That was me before this happened, before Area 51, before the Cataclysmic events, before the Occurrences of 12’, before the Wipe, before the World Wars, everything; that was me.” The arthropod said, emphasizing all the big events. “Impossible! The 3rd World War was in the 2300’s” Mac said, still astounded by the fact that this creature knew all these things. Cody was still asking Mac,”You mean THE Fruff?”.

The cave began to shake, another earthquake was on its way, and they didn’t have a whole lot of time to get out of the cave. The black hound ran into the cave with a harpoon gun and said,” It’s heading towards us, we don’t have a whole lot of time!”. This confused Cody drastically, for in front of him was The Black Hound, but yet here was another one. Everyone began to exit the cave, even the arthropod, but as they did rocks kept falling down upon them. “We don’t have much time!” The black hound said, running towards the light at the end of the tunnel.

They all began to pour out of the cave, but when the Black Hound exited the cave, the other black hound began to try and keep the arthropod in the cave. “ No.” The other black hound said, holding out his hand to impede the giant arthropod from getting out. The cave shook once more, a few rocks crumbling down on top of the arthropod. It tried to shove its body across to the outer world, but something kept stopping it. “Whoa whoa whoa!” One of the Marshamals said, in accordance with a few of the other creatures escaping the tunnel. “Invisible gun? Invisible force field?” He said, a little outraged,”What kind of lame excuse is this?”.

“These guys can’t CGI very well,” He said, “Heck, they don’t know how to use collisions!”. He then stuck his arm into his body as it twisted around in a funny shape. “Come on! You can do better!” He called out to the sky. Immediately the gun in Mac’s hand became visible, and the field became tinged blue. “That’s not scientifically accurate.” Another Marshamal said, pointing to the blue field. It immediately became a black fizz, to which the Marshamal said,’That’s better, continue.”. “Why can’t he come with us?” Cody asked, but was ignored again because no one spoke his language. “Why can’t he come with us?” The archivist asked the black hound, and was noticed since he was able to speak all the languages with every word he said.

Basically speaking, he could say 1 word in front of a group of people who all spoke different languages and they would all hear a word they’d understand that conveyed the same meaning. “He will destroy us.” The black hound said, indifferent to the arthropod banging against the field. The Black Hound turned to reason with himself, an odd sight indeed,”He won’t do it. You saw the future, you know it won’t happen.” The Black Hound said, beginning to try and dissolve the field himself. “That is because I will stop it!” The black hound said, and with that shoved the field back into the cave, sending the arthropod a good 10 feet into the cave. “We don’t have time for this!” Mac said, hurrying along the trail.

“It won’t happen no matter what, you know that.” The Black Hound said, pushing the black hound away from the arthropod. The cave shuddered, causing them to become hurried,”You know what they’ve done to this planet right?” The black hound asked. “What do you mean they?” The Black Hound asked, confused as to whom he was talking about. “He hasn’t told you has he?” The black hound said, beginning to laugh. “Told me about what?” The Black Hound asked, which was answered with,”What he is.”. Another black hound came in from the cave and shoved the arthropod through the field, which in turn tripped up some of the black hounds making the field and flooded the cave with many black hounds.

The arthropod eagerly escaped out into the open and alerted the group that they needed to get out, and he knew the way. They all began to follow the arthropod, except for Cody, who began to cough and was lagging behind. Mac looked at him, and was immediately alarmed, he ran towards Cody, shooing away the others who wanted a closer look. “He’s sick,” Mac stated, as if no one knew that already,”We have to get him medicine of some sort. He can’t go up, the altitude sickness won’t help him with the superbug.”. “Superbug?” Zacharias asked, being an engineer he had no clue what this term meant. “Superbug; it’s a very mutated and strong form of a normal virus. This one in particular is common here, but it is very deadly.” Mac concluded. “How did it get like that? Radiation? And how do you know what he has?” Zacharias asked, even more confused than ever.

“Remember how we had those really good vaccines? Well the viruses began to adapt and become immune to them, even after we used our last resort, our last resort was too commonly used, and in addition to the side effects it had the viruses got used to that too. Thanks to the humans of the 3000’s, these things now roam around and kill within days, and worse still, they are immune to all the vaccines ever created by man. And by the way Zacharias, you weren’t the only one who used the time-traveling machine. ” Mac said rapidly, skimming over the facts and skipping the fact that the superbug had infected him before.

There was a loud explosion heard, and the Bessie flew over the group, searching for the black hound. He emerged from the cave, a little angered and leaped out over the mountain. He was caught by the beam of the Bessie as its underside opened, revealing its extensive cargo bay. As the black hound got into the Bessie, The Black Hound emerged from the cave, a little mal-tempered, and joined the group. Cody began to cough out bones, being the only thing left in his stomach. The earthquake immediately began to pick up intensity, cracks began to spread around the mountain itself, and the earth shuddered as if it was waking from a nightmare of sorts.

The group began to run away from the area, heading up the mountain on the trail. As they ran along rocks fell over, nearly squashing some of them into flat pancakes. Everyone was becoming very hot and sweaty, the CO2 clouds weren’t doing very good at keeping them cold, nor was the extra exercise. The Marshamals simply clung onto the backs of the bigger creatures, being the fastest way they could travel. They were incredibly nonchalant, as they were mostly indestructible and lived for about 256 years each. The group kept running, unaware of the fact that something was following them. The creature following them was slinking around, running from bush to bush, and generally unaware of the fact that these creatures were not prey suitable for its needs. But it was hungry, and it needed food, not tomorrow for it would die, but it needed food right now, and this group of creatures was the perfect meal.

I looked around the desolate landscape, being nothing but a shadow of what once lay there. There were many man-made things, each with their own story of rise and falls, both emotionally and figuratively. The gas station that stood here was incredibly old, it was hundreds of years old, but seemed to have been abandoned just a few years ago. The landscape was mostly desert, but wouldn’t be identifiable as one due to the lack of solar light. There was light, sure there was, but that was because of the light pollution that the humans had caused. Every now and then there would be moments where the sky darkened, but most of the time it stayed a bluish tinge of bright.

You would think with all you know about the circadian cycle that this would reset everyone’s, and it did, for as far as I know there are no nights here on the Earth, so they go to sleep whenever they want. We didn’t go to sleep, well except for Matt, which is what he was doing back in the glass cage. We all walked in through the broken metallic roll down door, it was barely scratched, so we had to squeeze in through a small scratch on the surface. We all piled in, Phil did get stuck in between the metal and began to spin in circles, so we had to pull him off, but other than that it was uneventful.

It was incredibly low-tech, considering what we had just seen in Aegbis. We all walked through the gas station store in awe, looking around at all the stuff we had never seen before. Most the items were incredibly black, and no not the racist way, but they were all burned from the large amount of thermal radiation raining on them. I always forget to mention these types of things, simply because it is a part of everyday life that is overlooked. The temperature right now is about 10 degrees warmer than it is in your time, which is why the oceans are much larger. The geographic location of some things are more different also, for 1000 years in the future, it is much more different than what it is back then.

I know geologists must be angry at this inaccuracy, since tectonic plates move as fast as your fingernails grow, but it is no joke, this is scientifically possible and also is true. The continents are once again a giant supercontinent, and there were 3 oceans, technically it could still be divided into more, but most of them clumped together around the continent. The world is filled with smoke above, and it usually rains acid rain, which if you can’t tell by the name is something not very good for any animal breed. For some reason the gases float up to the surface, and the storms bring them down, we don’t know why this is so, but we believe temperature has to do with it.

Besides that, the oxygen levels are becoming very high, which is a real shocking fact considering the pollution in this city. However, along with the geologic appearance of the planet, all these things about the Earth are explained in this book, well the most part of it. There are a few things we aren’t going to tell you since you have to read the next book, and the next, and the ones after those and the ones after the ones after those. Also, there are some mysteries we can’t really give answers to, even as much as we’d like to, (Dunlap, you’re ruining our story!).

So we entered the gas station store, which is what it was turns out. At the time we thought it was a prison of sorts, where all the food creatures like us were stored and tortured. All around us were terrifying sights, there were melted circus peanuts, and slightly orange marshmallows, we even saw one fall out from the packaging and splat in front of us. It fell and splattered most of us with marshmallow insides, and we stood there at first, until Malley said,”Hey look! It’s a dead guy!”. We then began to creep away from the thing, and then Malley licked his chops and had the bright idea of exclaiming how tasty the insides of the splat marshmallow were.

We all turned to stare at Malley, licking off the rest of the goo off of him, and a few of us went ahead and ran. He then exclaimed how he wished to have more of it, that got us all running in different directions throughout the store, screaming and flailing our arms and all. I ran in a straight line, going underneath the shelves to make sure it was not disrupted. I turned around to see if Malley was chasing me, which he wasn’t, but as I did, I collided into a larger object that which I didn’t know what it consisted of. I wasn’t very eager to turn around and figure out what other more massive creature I had just bumped into, but nonetheless had a strong urge to turn my head.

When I did, I found myself at the foot of an ogre. He looked down curiously at me, and asked me, “Are you a jellybean?”. I instantly ran away screaming,”OGGER!!”, alerting the others there was an ogre in the room. Everyone panicked even more, jumping all over the place and screaming loud enough for that ogre to know there were even more of us. I tried to run to the door and maybe free myself from the room, but the ogre was more quicker than I was, and in a few steps he managed to almost trample some of us and block the exit. “It’s ok, I’m not going to eat you.” The ogre thing said, he had a higher pitched voice than I thought he would have.

I didn’t know whether to trust this ogre or not, but didn’t have enough time to flee or to stay, for before I could, there was a loud wail. It was even more high-pitched than this ogre, which at the current time I thought was impossible. The ogre looked up and leaned over, presumably peering out of the glass that George was attempting to go through. “They’re coming.” The ogre whispered, his eyes staring at something far away from where we were. He slung a sack on the floor over his shoulder, and exited the building. As he did the store began to fade, he also began to fade, but not as quickly. He was only 10 feet away from the door, but he turned around and said,”Tell them I’m going home.”.

The entire building was now gone, there were no remains of anything that had happened here, except for the marshmallow that had splat on the floor, which now only existed on our bodies. George fell down from high up in the air, splatting into a pancake for a few seconds and reforming into a rather dizzy Marshamal.

They finally calmed down and regrouped, all in front of me. “So where do we go?” I asked aloud, to which Harry responded,”We should go to a place where there is a lot of sugar.”. Edward then spoke aloud,”Let me just take the first page of that book, rip it out . .. ”. After that there was a loud tearing sound, as if a sheet of paper was being severed forcefully. Edward pulled out a map from thin air, the edges on one side a bit ragged, and laid it down on the earth next to him. “So we are here.” He said, pointing to one side of the map. “There is a body of water here,” He said, pointing to the sea in between all the land,”Or we can continue heading West for the larger ocean.”.

“Which has more sugar?” Harry asked, still confused as to which was the best option. “I don’t know.” Edward responded, a bit intrigued by this. Phil was still running around in circles, but he stopped and asked which place had more islands. “I don’t know any of this, we’ll have to guess.” Edmund said, “I guess we can go to the bigger place, it has more space.”. “All in favor of the bigger place raise your hand!” I said, which was responded with several hands being raised. So it was decided that day that we were heading to the giant ocean. We all began to walk, we had a journey to begin.

There Is More To The Story (Next 2 Sections)

The captain navigated his ship through the skies, searching for another storm to dive into. He and his crew had already rigged up the propellers, but they still didn’t have enough energy to sell back to the main station.”Wind incoming!” The captain said, alerting his crew to another massive wave of compressed air. It rocked the metal ship, sending it back a few feet before it could regain balance. Another lightning charge surged through the clouds, striking the vessel’s poles.

“Sir, there’s a storm brewing starboard!” One of his crew members told him to which he steered the ship towards. They were heading straight into a giant tornado, not exactly one of the most calming of situations. However, this was their job, and as dangerous as it was they had to do it. The city could only get energy this way, which was crucial since there was no land. There had been legends about there being land below, but so far no one had been able to locate any. Even if there was, the legends said they were uninhabitable by any person.

“We have to get into the eye!” The captain’s private said, adjusting some of the rudders with the mere thought of it. The captain swung his ship on its side, managing to get into the storm’s eye quickly. “Deploy the turbines!” He screamed, which was echoed by the ship’s automatic voice transit system. The crew members shuffled to the side, extending the turbines into the wall of smoke and dust. The ship began to use its thrusters, releasing a massive amount of pollution as it did. The storm was pulling them up, so the captain switched the thrusters to push the ship downwards.

The ship was too big to completely fit in the eye, but not small enough to not collect the wind power the storm generated. The batteries were now charging up, they were nearly full within a few minutes, and the storm only got worse. Lightning began to strike the ship, adding to the batteries being charged but also to the fear. Hail began to rain down on them, if they hadn’t been wearing their protective suits it would have burned their skin off. One piece of hail got stuck in one of the turbines, causing the ship to tilt to one side for a few seconds before it grinded the piece away.

Men swayed to that side, one almost fell off the ship, but was caught by the captain himself. “I know this job is terrifying, but you’ve still got a few years to live.” He said, pushing back the person into his position. He walked to the front of the ship, a large metal pole protruding from it. The ship looked much like a pirate’s ship, but metal and more poles sticking out. Instead of oars or cannons, the sides of the ship had massive propellers with turbines jutting out near them to collect wind power from the storm. It had no sails, instead just poles that collected electricity from the lightning that struck it. It did have a flag, one with the emblem of a skull with lightning instead of bones.

The captain looked over the edge, checking to make sure the ‘shredders pipes’ didn’t come up and try to eat them again. He was lucky, for the ‘shredder pipe’ shot straight up next to him, missing his head by a millimeter. The captain backed up, it was a large one for its kind. The captain didn’t know that this was no pipe, it was a worm, a giant worm covered in spikes that spun around to form tornados. They called them Tornado Worms down below, but none of his crew nor did the people of the Sky know there was land below. They had tried to find land before, but due to the lack of land they didn’t know how to land, and most the ships crashed. The few that survived were caught by the federation, and no one heard of them again.

The worm lunged over the ship and went down under it, beginning to encircle the ship so it could grind it in half. The worm’s body fell down on top of the ship, squishing one of the crew member’s toes and bringing the ship down. The captain pulled out a harpoon gun, and shot the worm’s body. The harpoon went at around the speed of sound, and the boom rocked the ship. If the crew had not been wearing their gear, they’d have had their ears bleeding. They heard the boom of course, all their gear did was take an sounds too low or too high, too loud or too soft and put it into the mid range which was perfect for hearing.

The worm screamed, the harpoon had come out the other side and almost impaled one of the captain’s crew member’s toe. The worm let go, it had actually died, and the ship no longer being held in the air by the worm began to plummet rapidly. Just then there in the distance was a sleek ship, tinted blue but rather hard to see in the thick pollution, it was heading for the energy ship. The captain turned the ship, facing the worm’s body parallel with the ship that was heading to them. But before the ship could reach them two torpedoes hit it, causing it to fall. It fell down, beyond where the captain could see. The ship plummeted into the ocean below, causing a big enough splash to save Claude who was trying to swim in the sea. It was that ship that cause the existence of the Marshamals, the end of mankind, the finishing of these journeys and most importantly that cause this tale to occur.

William Barnes was a scientist. You probably already got that. His story is a key piece in understanding the entirety of this. William Barnes lived in Nebraska, he was always the nerd of his class who liked to be alone. He never really associated himself with human beings, he didn’t like them actually. He once asked himself in his career what his purpose in life was, this was the main question that drove his persistent career. He asked himself many questions, and through the years conducted many experiments. He never got along with Zach and Mac and Cheese, they always wanted to create a new type of life, to help humanity in its quest of destruction, as he saw it.

However, they had many things that William was interested in, so sometimes he would slip in during the night and copy their designs. Sometimes he’d enter their room and there would be a giant version of an animal, sometimes a machine whose workings could only be speculated. There was always something new that fascinated William, but he wasn’t willing to work with them for he saw their motives pointless. Zacharias was the most irksome, going around preaching about morality, the greatness of being good, blah blah blah. The point is that he went around talking about that genre of items, quite irksome to William.

William Barnes had his own projects at Area 51, he was a biologist. At first he did nothing but analyze some creatures, for he was curious enough to want to do that. He did make quite a few discoveries in his inspections, most of which he classified to make sure humans wouldn’t use it to their advantage. The most notable of William Barnes's ‘experiments’ was with an, ‘alien’. As you already know, the human species had to escape the Earth due to the massive amount of pollution. However, while on their way to Mars the Bessie had accidently smashed into them.

Those that survived from being struck by it went to Mars, and later colonized other planets in the solar system. But a few had completely gone off course, they went out of the solar system and ended up landing on a comet. Those people eventually established a colony on Pilikajuia, a comet that was destined to run into the sun. Those people became the great greys, and the lizard men that which your society calls them. However they were human, but they have evolved from what we no longer consider to be human, they are future human but at the same time no longer human.

One of those Greys had driven too low, he accidently crashed into what is known as the void field to them, an area that which no alien has escaped. He knew he was in trouble, and tried to escape, but the people there had caught him, they wanted to learn more about this strange creature.William Barnes was in charge of the investigation, and he was not very merciful towards the creature. After his experiments at Area 51, during the incidents of 12’ he managed to escape, using one of the crawlers in the building.

When he got out, a giant tsunami wave swept him into the ocean where he managed to land onto a submarine. He was able to convince the captain to let him in, and from there headed to Argon, an underwater city that no surface man had ever known about. It might be kind of strange to know there are societies that don’t know about each other entirely, despite their immense size. However I must inform you they aren’t the only ones, there are people in the sea, the sky, on land, underground, on Mars and even in Asia that have no clue the others exist. To the americans they are the only civilization alive, and it is the same to every other one. However, William Barnes will play a crucial role in the creation of the Marshamal’s home, as for now others are trying to find him.

Teamwork is Tragic (Next 2 Sections)

The leader of the aliens as you humans refer to them as, was in the front, helping the driver find William Barnes. The crew consisted of 7, the leader being the more bossy one. His name was Yual, and he was holding the disk-like device, reading it aloud to the driver. The driver was also a Grey, and his duty was to be able to operate any human contraption. He had figured out that the humans had these tubes filled with food they called ’lipstick’, which is why they were often seen wearing some on their lips to store it.

Fulrik was the agile one, his job was to be able to squeeze into any place the humans didn’t want him to, He was also a Grey and was obsessed with spacecrafts. Gjuhl was a Reptilian, his duty was to be able to destroy any impediment the humans had for him. They didn’t resort to him a lot since he was capable of destroying an entire building, and that drew too much attention. Huilor was another Grey, and his duty was to keep everyone happy. Yes, that is an important part of the mission, if the people in the mission were unhappy they’d do something irrational, so he was enlisted to keep them from being too emotionally driven.Ironic isn’t it?

Igg the Reptilian was in charge of human affairs, basically he went around making sure people didn’t suspect anything. The last member of the crew was a Grey by the name of Kti, he was in charge of the weaponry, designing and fixing any of it. The crew was made by Eak and Crey, but when the war broke out they both left, leaving the team without any funding. After the war they were reemployed since they were about to go into the sun, and needed all the help they could get retrieving their people.

The van took a sharp left, a little too much, for the van smashed straight into a pole supporting a traffic light. The van kept driving, smashing through even more poles, traffic lights and the occasional dog. It took about only 2 minutes before sirens began to wale, and officers told the people inside the van to stop. But they didn’t, they kept driving down the street, heading downhill to a river. The van sped up, the Greys knew whom the police would alert if they found out whom they were.

The driver began to panic, slamming his foot down on the brakes. The police car behind them stopped too soon, as it rammed straight into the back of the van, sending most of the crew flying. The driver then spun the van to the right, heading down another street that was more empty. They darted in between cars, making the police have to dodge even more obstacles. “Should we fire?” Kti asked, readying the cannon in the back of the van. “Do you know how much work that’s gonna give me?” Igg said, “You’re gonna make me rich!”. “Whoa whoa!” Huilor said,”We don’t even know if that is necessary. And nobody's getting rich here.”.

The police began to fire, trying to aim for the tires of the van. “Nevermind, why not.” Huilor said, kicking the back doors of the van open. The canon unveiled itself, the sides of it extended out and clamped themselves to the sides of the van. It was a bundle of metal and it had a circular base, allowing it to swivel a bit. The center of the cannon stuck itself out, protruding from the van by a good 2 feet. That number kept increasing as it extended itself, rearranging its appearance so it could function properly. After a few seconds, the entire cannon formed itself, with a seat at the back, extending a good 10 feet out of the van.

Kti shoved a cartridge into the bottom of the cannon, and sat down on the seat to take aim. He peered forward, looking through the scope. He aimed at the car and fired. As he did, time slowed down, space warped, stretching the distance between the car and the van. The light from the cannon was going so fast that space and time were warping to keep it going at light speed. Kti pressed a button, fixing their place in space, watching the bolt of photons shoot out from the cannon. It took about 5 minutes in relative time, time that is measured by what you experience, but in consistent time, the event lasted only half a second.

The bolt hit the car, frying it almost instantly and completely vaporizing it due to the extreme heat. The bolt only lasted enough to plow through the car, cutting it in half, and leaving the officer a bit shocked. As the bolt disappeared, space warped back, shrinking everything back to normal size. However since the van was locked in position it only shrunk and once everything returned to normal, the van was ahead of the police car by a good half-mile. The cannon unassembled itself, pulling everything back in and compacting itself back into a small metal cube. “I have to go back and fix a few things.” Igg said, and after being bid goodbyes, jumped off the van and headed to the place where they had just been at.

Everyone had been heading the wrong way, for the earthquake easily trapped them in yet another cave. They had nowhere to go, so they had to wade out the earthquake inside a cave. “So is this thing going to kill me?” Cody asked, which was translated by the me, a bit unhappy that he was sick with a superbug. “If we don’t get you treated the virus will kill your brain.” Mac said, pacing around the area. “But you said yourself that no vaccines can help this!” Zacharias said, a bit confused as to what this dog needed.

“You don’t cure anything with vaccines, just prevent. But this virus has no vaccine, he’s immune to every treatment but one.” Mac said. “What is that?” Cody asked, which the archivist translated. “It requires a Marshamal.” Mac said, to which the Marshamals all stopped doing their activities to stare at him. One Marshamal was flying a place made of food in the air, and when the statement was spoken his plane stopped midair, but didn’t fall. “It won’t kill them, it’ll just be painful.” Mac said. “So what do you have to do? And why?”

“We have to extract half of the blood in one Marshamal,” Mac said, causing most of the Marshamals to become frightened, “and using that blood we combine it with the virus, create a resistance and put it into Cody. As for why, I don’t really have a clue as to why their blood is this way. I took one back with me before, and turns out their blood can generate special cells targeted to attack and destroy that which is needed to be killed.” Mac concluded.

“That is because I used a machine to create these things.” Claude said, “I assume you guys made this machine.”. “How can you be so sure? You haven’t met us until now for about 20 minutes!” Chuck asked, still a bit confused as to how this man knew this. “First of all,” Claude said, then glanced at Chuck’s name tag,”Chuck, we have met before. Second of all, there was a symbol on the machine that is the exact one you have on your coat.”. Chuck glanced down at his coat, then realized the Area 51 logo was still stamped onto it. He quickly removed it, stamping it with his foot as if it would cause a conflagration.

“We haven’t met be-” Mac began, but was cut off by Cody beginning to angrily bark. “So how do we get the items you need?” I asked, to which everyone stared at my suitcase. “What?” The I asked, awaiting my response. “We’re looking at it!” The black hound said, a bit angrily. I was rather confused, so I followed the path of their gaze, and it hit me. I opened my suitcase and showed everyone that there were no supplies for any procedure whatsoever. “So now what?” Cody asked, his eyes beginning to twitch. Mac looked through his coat, hoping to find a needle, and he actually did. He stuck it into Cody, and withdrew some blood from him.

“Which one of you . . .” Mac began, but the Marshamals had already tripped him, not eager to get a deadly virus. “No!” One of them said, trying to clamber up the sides of the cave. “You can’t die of this!” Mac said, ”You are unkillable! Invulnerable! What else do you need?”. They stopped trying to flee at that moment, and one of them asked,”How are you sure?”. Mac then promptly scooped one up and tossed him against the wall. He simply flattened and got back up again. “Mac!” Zacharias scolded, “Why did you do that? You should’ve asked!”. “It’s not like they could die, plus they wouldn’t want to.” Mac said, justifying his actions.

“I guess its ok.” One of the Marshamals spoke up, and stepped forward,”You can do it on me.” The other Marshamals looked at him, a bit confused as to why he was saving such a strange being. Mac injected him with the blood, and instantly the Marshamal began to spasm. But after a few seconds, his spasming stopped, and he returned to the usual self that which he was. “I’m going to have to take back half your blood.” Mac said,”It might make you a bit dizzy for a bit, but the blood will be replenished by your body.”. He took out what he said he’d take out, which was barely enough to fill the syringe halfway. He then walked over to Cody and put the blood into him. “It’s going to take a while for your blood to circulate, and in the meantime you might begin to lose your ability to move.” Mac said.

“Why can’t we just go without him?” The Black Hound asked, but was reminded by the sudden shaking of the earth. “That is why.” The android said, sitting down. “So? It is more dangerous in this cave!” The Black Hound responded,”The ceiling could collapse on us.”. “Out there we could be pulverized by boulders, Shrilews and the Karn.” The archivist responded, well aware they were safer in the cave. “How much do you want to bet?” The Black Hound asked,”Because right now we’re betting on our lives.”. “And our chances of survival are increased by 5%” The android said.

“The karn will tear us to shreds. They are not very aware of the fact that they are harming us, they do not feel pain. That is what makes them more ruthless, and they will literally tear us apart. We all stay here until the earthquake ends.” The archivist concluded. “But what makes the difference of us being out in the earthquake with the karn and being out there without the earthquake but still the karn?” The Black Hound continued, still insisting on going out now. “The karn cannot be harmed easily, so the earthquake would be only our disadvantage.” The archivist said, and there was a long period of silence afterwards.

“So what do you do for a living?” Mac said after a moment of silence, directing it towards the Black Hound. “I’m a flamer.” He responded, to which he got confused reactions from the humans and robots. “Those are what we call people who own ships. See, when we first began to get spaceships, we rented them, letting oithers use them for a certain amount of time. But people aren’t very trained drivers, and they tended to crash our ships alot, so we all became cranky.” He said.

“We soon became flamers, and that was coined when one of us was so furious that he went after his customer with a flamethrower. After that, we were always called flamers. I own my ship, The Bessie, my business is called History Makers, we’ve got our products and everything. We are an illegal business however, so the police of Excronite, my home planet, are always chasing us. We get hired to make history, steal artifacts and as we do these missions we also try to find a way to make extra profit.” He said. “So what exactly have you done?” Zacharias asked, a bit concerned about what he had done. “I’ve sunk the Titanic, made a religion, even made a truck of explosives disappear.” The Black Hound replied.

“What do you mean made a religion?” Zacharias asked, becoming increasingly worried. “Well, we went back in time once, and my pals wanted an old copy of some religious text. I don’t really remember what it was though, could’ve been the Quran, Bible, something like that. Anyway, I wasn’t paying attention to the time, and we went back in time before that religion existed, and we accidently dropped the book.” The Black Hound said, a bit nervously.

“So you mean you made millions of people believe in something false?” Zacharias asked, a bit outraged at this dog. “There isn’t anything I could do about it!” He said. “You could’ve gone back in time and fixed it!” Zacharias said, becoming angrier. “You can’t change the future, everything is already as it is. Everything is already existing, we’re just the ones experiencing it.” The Black Hound argued, becoming a bit agitated as well. “Yes you can! And that is why you shouldn’t! Ever heard of the butterfly effect?” Zacharias said. “I’ve got proof, it’s standing right here!” The Black Hound said angrily.

“What do you mean?” Claude asked, intrigued now by the conversation. “Many times I have wanted to kill myself, so I go back in time to try and kill myself.” He said,”But every time I always fail. I always will because I am alive in the future, that means I haven’t died in the past.”. “Isn’t that a good thing?” Claude asked,”You can’t die!”. “Don’t you see fool?” The Black Hound said,”It is my curse. No matter how much I want to die, no matter how much I suffer, at one point in time I’ll want to live and I’ll go back to save myself. I can’t ever die, and I will always suffer because I cannot.”. To this no one said many words, allowing the dog to form a few tears and sniffle them away.

“You said something about Fruff.” Cody let out, which I translated,”He was the first dog to be on Excronite. They said, they said he was put there by a glowing orb, and he was put there with a female dog, whose name is lost to history.”. “Fruff? He wasn’t much more than a dog. One day I lost him at the park, and I thought he had gone to the forest. So when I went there there was a giant snake, which I assume,” Mac said, then glancing at the giant arthropod,”Is that guy over there.”. Zacharias was still asking the Black Hound why he hadn’t done anything to fix that which he ahd done, and he kept telling him the same thing.

“So what the heck are you?” Chuck asked, intrigued by the workings of Crey. “What do you mean?” Crey asked,”Do you wish to know whom I identify myself with, what I was? Or do you wish to know what I am now?”. “Both would be nice.” Chuck said. “I was an alien to you, you would call us the Greys. We had a war, and I ran into a device, and nearly died. The only thing alive was my head.” Crey responded to which Chuck asked,”How did you survive?”. “My brother Eak took my body and illegally put me into a robot, which is this. However ‘I’ died, but this me has been able to survive.” Crey said, showing his arms and head to the programmer. “Why haven’t they shut you off, if you’re illegal? Why is it even illegal?” Chuck asked, a bit curious as to why they’d do that.

“They don’t let us do that since we run into dilemmas, who is the real ‘you’? We go insane, we suicide due to these things, so it is illegal. Also, if we did this we’d become quickly overcrowded, we could create perfect machines of us to live forever. We are not allowed to kill, so this is possible, and they avoid it as much as they can. But once life has been created, it’s life is it not? They can’t kill me, it is punishable.” Crey replied. “Is it even life? This, your existence?” Chuck asked. “Tell me then Chuck, what is life.” Crey said, finally able to find Chuck’s Area 51 directory in his head.

“Life isn’t any more different than a rock, or a mountain.” I told them,”All it is is the ability to respond and react, move, grow and consume, that is how life is defined. The only thing behind life is that it occurs with chemical reactions on humans. I see why not a machine could be living. It is alive, it just uses electricity to be able to reach the criteria.”. The Marshamals were looking at Claude, poking and prodding him, curious as to how this thing had made them.

“Are you my daddy?” One Marshamal asked, wondering how this Ogre could possibly ever make him. “Uh, in a way yes.” Claude said,”But you don’t have a mommy.”. “Did she die?” The Marshamal asked, still unaware that he wasn’t made in the same way other organisms were. “No.” Claude said, still fiddling around with a few chemicals in vials he had in his pockets. “So did you get a divorce?” The android said, finding himself intrigued. “NO!” Claude said, a bit outraged at this point,”I used a machine to make you all!”. Zacharias instantly reacted to this sentence, acting a bit horrified and finally said,”Why did you do that?!”. Mac then pitched in and said,”Why not? It’s the truth isn’t it?”. “But you didn’t have to do it so harshly!” Zacharias said, defending the now saddened Marshamals.

“Sorry about Zacharias, he’s a bit . .” Mac begun, but was cut off by Zacharias whom said,”Sorry? You shouldn’t be sorry Mac!”. Claude looked at the two and said,”You guys got problems? As in . . .” but was cut off by Chuck whom said,”No, we just work together at Area 51. Zac he’s the mechanic, ironically he’s the one who likes being ethical. That guy is Mac, he’s a biologist, and I’m Chuck, a programmer/test-dummy. If you need us, just call us Zac and Mac and Cheese, it’s our nickname. ”. “I’m Claude, and I made these little guys.” Claude said, finally introducing himself more formally.

“So are we all going to introduce ourselves?” The arthropod asked, looking around at the others. “I’m Cody! I work at Excronite!” Cody said, which I also translated. “I’m the archivist!” I said, to which the others got confused looks and reactions. “I archive your planet’s history. Is that more comprehensible?” I asked, still wondering where they had gotten their education. “Where’s your pad then?” The android asked. “I don’t use a ‘pad’ I use this!” I said and pulled out my rope from the grain, another dimension in this realm.

I scrolled through it, pulling it to the side so parts of the rope appeared and the other side began to disappear. “Here is at 2512.” I said, but was interrupted by Mac,”That’s the time I was from.”. “A hurricane struck the coast of one of 7 continents.” I continued, but was once again interrupted by someone, Claude. “Impossible! There is only one continent! How could only 500 years before my time have 7 continents?”. “Will you let me finish?” I asked him, and continued,”2845, still unpieced, but some changes occurred. That is all I have recorded, but the library at the top of the mountain should tell me more.”.

“I’m the android!” The android said,”I’m here to find answers about me.”. “I’m Herl, I live around here.” The giant arthropod said. “So now what?” I asked, feeling the earthquakes beginning to lessen. “I
Guess we go up.” The Black Hound said,”But we have to be able to escape this cave first.”.”Can anyone dig through rock?” Cody asked, beginning to get up and walk around.”I know!” Edmund said, which was responded with,”You’re not supposed to be in this scene Edmund!”. “Aww, come on!” He complained and took out a pair of scissors. He cut through the air somehow and peeled it open as if it were a piece of paper. He went through the hole and patched it up, leaving them back to where they started.

“We could ask the dog there to get his crew over here to help.” Chuck said, realizing that this was the only way out. “Fine then.” The Black Hound said, and stood in front of the entrance where 10 feet of rock stood. He then punched the air in front of the rocks, and as he did all the rocks were sent out, clearing the entrance so they could finally escape. “How’d you do that?” Crey asked, “I thought you could only go back in time to help yourself.”. “I did. I’m just really good at timing and hiding my vessel.” He said. They all got out of the cave, but as they were going to continue heading up the trail they heard a snarling. They all stood in the middle of the two steep mountain walls, looking around for the source of it. The snarling became a chant, and soon it was apparent whom it was coming from. All around them heads poked out, all of them were hungry, and they were about to have a big dinner.

[spoiler=Misunderstanding (Last 2 Sections)]

The Bessie kept going, it was made to endure the hard travels of long-distance voyages. The ship had been used before by another flamer, one by the name of John Sliverbill. He had been infamous for stealing practically every monument and getting caught soon after he did. After that disgrace, The Bessie had been put in the hangar at the Space Station, and for years it had been waiting there. It was then that the Black Hound’s fur was not black, it was simply brown, and he bought the ship. The ship was a tenth of the price than all the other ships since it was old, and had a bad reputation.

However the Black Hound managed to return the Bessie into its full glory once again, creating an entire industry off of stealing and causing major events in history. The company was illegal however, since people didn’t know that you couldn’t change time. The only one who understood this was the Black Hound, which is why he kept going back in time. Eventually the dog gathered together a crew, rescuing each from a different situation, and they all interlaced like a giant industrial family. However, he became bitter as people kept trying to destroy the planet with the most marvelous of creatures.

In the end they succeeded, which led the Black Hound to campaign against Excronite’s resource industry. He had to collapse the 6th dimension so they couldn’t travel as easily to any place, past or present. However, despite him being illegal, practically everyone made deals with him. He would be given money if he cause an event and brought back whatever the person wanted. During this however, the Black Hound would also take artifacts and sell them to anyone with enough money. Sometimes he would be given orders to kill a person, and he would take things during their time there.

The Bessie right now was speeding, it was a surprise no intergalactic police of sorts was slowing it down. The Bessie seemed to be a bit elongated, however to the dogs inside everything just got shorter. The Bessie was surpassing the speed of light, using a mixture of actual speed and shrinking down space to travel. They had recently teleported it near the Grinder, but it would still be a few days before they reached the grinder. They only had enough energy to teleport near it, for teleporting required most of the ship’s energy. Plus, teleporting wasn’t exact at long distances, a wrong angle of 1 degree would have accidently sent them lightyears away from the area, even worse, might have accidently teleported them in a black hole. Fortunately the machine was only off by a mile, but that mile could’ve cost them their lives, so the Black Hound wasn’t taking any chances.

Convenient might I add, it is for this story. The Black Hound was sitting in the central seat, overviewing his crew. “Here is your coffee sir.” Billy said, giving him his favorite type of coffee. “Do you ever wonder what it is like being them?” He then said to Billy, who froze. “What do you mean sir? Are you ok?” He asked, a bit concerned his boss was concerned. “I am ok. But what I mean is that have you ever wondered what they think of us?” He said, looking out at the stars passing by. “They see us as villains.” Billy said,”But they are the villains.”. “Why? Why are we the bad ones? Why do they think that?” The Black Hound asked his subordinate. “They’re scared. They saw what was there, they didn’t like it because they made them angry.” Billy said, referring to the mission Cody was sent on to the planet.

“I don’t get it. How could they not see the greatness in these creatures? How am I the bad one here?” The Black Hound asked. “They killed them because they didn’t know. Isn’t that why we are afraid? They didn’t know whether these creatures would kill them, and that uncertainty whether they would live or not caused fear. Fear is the effort of wanting to live, its when you think you have a chance. These creatures thought they’d strike and took measures that was seen as evil.” Billy responded, beginning to walk to his control panel. The Black Hound looked down at the curved rows of panels, each with a different dog managing a system of the Bessie. Above them they could see space, and The Black Hound in his seat hovering over them.

He remembered rescuing each of them from different situations, from those evil dogs back at Excronite. He rescued a few from Earth, and gave them more intelligence along with an ability to speak. They all liked him for this, he was like their father, a compassionate one who saw the world suffering and came in to save those who were locked behind bars of loopholes and laws. He had the keys, and opened the doors, he just needed them to walk through, and they all did. He saved Billy from an airplane that had been hijacked in 2014. It was taken over by weird acting humans, and all the Black Hound could do was take Billy as Airflight 370 sunk into the ocean.

Walley was another dog, he was rescued from jail after being framed. He had been at the CCDHQ during a shooting, and since the murderer had tossed the weapon on top of him, he was convicted of causing the shooting. They ran a DNA test on the fur found on the weapon, and since Walley’s fur fell off more than the criminal’s they found it to be his. He was sentenced to death by laser, an instant but nerve-racking process.

The Black Hound continued remembering these until Billy called for him. “Sir, we have an incoming vessel, 38 degrees nor, 68 LPH, in collision course of 6.8 relative seconds, 58 hours in constant time, brace for impact!” As he said that A ship appeared next to them, somewhat dimly lit due to the fact they were going light speed. “Slow down!” The Black Hound yelled, but it was a little late, for the other ship had already found the Bessie, and it was going to capture it.

“I’m still not getting this.” I said,”How does any of this have to do with my boat and these little guys?”. “We’re getting there,” Claude said, a bit sad it wasn’t his turn anymore. “So you guys worked at Area 51 right?” I asked them, to which it was responded in the
