The Mine Runner - Steve's Life During the Trials (Minecraft Style)

I am basing this off the book and the Movie, "The Maze Runner," and I changed a few things around so it's not a complete copy.





Steve's Life During the Trials

         The Other villagers were doing there daily routine, when suddenly they were hearing the sound they heard every month. It sounded like someone was banging, pots and pans, on a metal surface over and over again. One of the gladers shouted, "The box!" All 54 glade members rushed over to see who it was. When they opened the box, people had a sharp look on there faces, wondering why the new member was different. He blurted out his name right away, "Steve" when others it took 3-4 days for them to start remembering things. Rade, the only girl in the glade, jumped down to help the new glade member up. They put him in the pit for a night, to see if it would help him remember anything else from what he came from. The next morning he had risen from the pit and looked around. He spots a giant 65 foot wall all around him. He get's scared, not knowing what was happening to him, Steve starts seeing pictures in his mine of M.W.G.D. He sees a glimps of two older people, which he then remembers to be his parents, Bob and Sarah. He starts running over to Dosin, the first member of the glade and also the leader, Steve suddenly pants out, "I remember," "Remember what?" said Dosin. "My family." Steve blurts. Dosin screeches to all of the glade members, "We got a wild one over here!" Every glade member chants, "BANISH BANISH BANISH!!!" Gally, the co-leader, tosses comes over with rope and string, ties Steve up and then brings him to the gates. A gush of wind brushes across Steve's face, he asks, "What's out there??" "Well we call 'em creepers." Steve get's a feeling in his stomach, he wants to tell him the letters he saw, what were they, He thinks to himself. Gally pushes Steve slowly through the gates. Then with a loud crank, they start to close. As the gates are closing Dosin yells out, "No one has ever survived a night in the mine." The gates close. Screeches are heard from a distance, Steve starts running, faster and faster through out the mine. Rumbles are heard throughout the mine, tssstt tsstt tssstt. Steve turns his body, a giant green "creeper" is appearing as it's about to blow up. Steve runs as fast as he can, sprinting his heart out, the mine is starting to crack and break, the glade members are terrified as the glade was mysteriously lit on fire. The creeper blows up, Steve barely misses all of the debris. A weird blinking bulb is stuck in the head of the creeper, Steve pulled as hard as he could to take it out, and finally POP! The bulb is out. As Steve is walking through the mine, the bulb starts to make a weird static sound. "Hmm, why is it doing this?" Steve thinks to himself. Another rumble is heard, Steve starts to pick up speed, dodging left and right, obstacles after obstacles. A creeper is right on his tail, Steve is at top speed, he is having trouble breathing, but still moving as fast as he can go. The creeper passes Steve and goes right into some big, circle. Steve runs after it, thinking it would be a way out. The cricular door closes right as he reaches it. The bulb starts getting louder and louder. Steve eventually holds it up to the door, and somehow, the door opens. Inside, Steve finds a combination of letters. "What were those four letters again?" Steve asks himself. "AHA! I remember the M.W.G.D." Quickly steve hits those for letters, opening the passage to a sign that says, "Exit." Steve bursting with tears of joy, opens the exit door. "Wait a minute, where are all of the gladers?" I thought they had some way out of there own????" But no, Steve turns the corner and finds a screen of a camera. "They're dead!" Shouts Dosin. Steve finds Dosin holding a pickaxe, looking like he was blown up from some of a creeper. "Careful Dosin, you don't know what you are doing." "Of course I know what I am doing. I belong to Minecraft, and so do you." Dosin sprints at Steve and takes a swing at him, just barely missing Steve by a hair. Dosin gives up, fracturing his rist from the impact of the wall. Steve rushes out a door that leads into the world of minecraft. Leaving Dosin, to die.
