I see that you're back for more of my tales of adventure! Of course you love to hear my amazing stories of.... what? You're only here for the free food? Fine then. Be that way. You could at least listen...
Steve and Jake fell to their knees, coughing up blood.
"I'll rip your spine out!" Screamed Chato
Jake attempted to stand, pulling his sword of his gut. While Chato was laughing hysterically, Jake lifted his sword above his head, and swung downwards. "GAHHHHHHHHH" Chato screamed as his left arm came clean off. Feeling no remorse, Jake swung multiple times at random places on Chato's body.
"Listen to that, friend" Said Chato, "The birds are singing. Look over there, a small family of squirrels is out foraging for food. What a wonderful day to die..."
"I won't fall for whatever you're trying to do to me"
"I've never been afraid to die, friend. Death is what happens to real heroes. Anybody afraid to die is... not a true... defender of.... their king...." Muttered Chato with his last dying breath.
Jake walked over the Steve to help him up. He gave Steve a healing potion, and they continued on their journey. As they walked along the country, they saw many adventures that seemed promising. Far off in the mountains they could see a group of dragons circling one of the peaks. In the valley there was a small village. Just ahead they could spot a bandit camp. In search of money, Steve and Jake took the path towards the town known as Austrik. They wandered the just, but tried to keep a low profile just in case the Royal Guard were still looking for them. They ducked into a small shop, with a roof so low, they had to bend down on their knees to move around. This shop was owned by a name who went by the name of Quinn.
"You two boys lookin' for some work?" He asked
Jake replied. "Yes we are, got any leads?"
"I do indeed. You see, I've been hunting a great artifact for many years, but just can't seem to get my hands on it. The magical barriers surrounding it are too powerful for a small gnome like me, but maybe some humans can do it?"
"We'll do it" Jake said quickly.
And so they followed the path out of town towards and old cave with an old stone door leading inside. Steve and Jake rushed in, expecting a horde of enemies, but nothing was there. The two crept towards and old stone altar, which had the sword on it. They lifted it with ease. However, something was off about the room. The ground began to shake as something rose up out of the ground. It was the size of at least 50 men, and had 6, horrifying arms, each carrying it's own individual sword. He flew up into the air, and rushed forwards at the two heroes...
