Pine Forest Mountain

Today I'd like to bring up a project style that seems to have all but faded from memory. That style is called Organics. What are Organics? Is it forming the land to make custom terrain, epic tree builds and mountains that form skulls? I had to actually dig deep to find this one because apparently super structures are a much more pleasing thing to do. Honestly, I'm tired of seeing giant castles and massive towns, so I thought I would bring this up.

My favorite parts of this build are the beach and the snow-capped mountain. The nice design of the beach makes it not feel like there is a distinct separation, more like a natural conversion from there to the woods. The density of the trees is nice, but seems to be a bit too much for this kind of build.

Now as to where it could be improved and the major one I see is that "arch" that reaches to the sky. You can clearly tell it was world edited and I'm just wondering how hard it can be to smooth it out a little. Another problem I see is the rivers seem a little too man-made, uniform instead of being varying widths at random points. I did mention that there were a lot of trees, but chopping a few down would give this a more natural feel.

Texture Pack Showcase:
The Skillful Pack

This is an example of the right way to do a simple pack. It isn't
just bucket fill and color changes. This pack has a lot of creative
and original textures, the ores being some of my favorites. The blocks
are colorful and vibrant. This packs gives the feel of a bright and
cheery atmosphere. Overall, this pack provides a refreshing way to
experience minecraft.

RantWeekly_zpscefjpg

When perusing the Blogs section of Planet Minecraft, I've seen many blogs ranting about little children on the Internet, some almost bordering on cyberbullying. Some of these blogs do make some sense, smaller children can be annoying sometimes, but this is no reason to get on sites such as Planet Minecraft and completely trash anyone under 10. The thing that people don't get about the Internet is that it's basically a country with no immigration system, nobody can pick and choose who can get on the Internet. If little kids annoy you to the point where you would go write a degrading blog or post about them, then join "mature" or whitelisted Minecraft servers or just ignore them, but don't be rude. Don't tease or bully kids about their high voice or grammar mistakes, it accomplishes nothing and you end up making those people your enemies. On games like TF2, where there is a voice chat system, it might be harder to ignore small children with high voices talking their heads off, but just use the Mute button, don't say things back like "your voice sounds retarded" or "Come back in 5 years when your voice has changed". I've seen all of those, plus much nastier things that I would never put in a blog. The point is, teasing those younger than you accomplishes nothing. Cyber bullying is becoming very quickly grounds for expulsion or suspension in schools, and is frowned upon by Planet Minecraft moderators. Don't be a cyberbully, respect EVERYONE on the Internet. The Golden Rule - "Treat others the way you want to be treated." Thank you.

Chief_zpsejpgI am excited with the work the PMC Times Team keeps putting out. They have done an amazing job and put in a lot of work to this weeko s issue and things just keep getting better. Be sure to show your support and check them out! As we grow we will be facing a greater demand of coverage. So if you think you have what it takes and would like to join the PMC Times staff shoot me a pm and I will be happy to talk to you about it.

Also A good friend of mine CNCminecraft's contest entry got corrupted at the worst possible time. However he has managed to save some of his files in time for the judging process. So please show your support for him and his team here:

I still don't see the need for something like this, I found it kind of boring; but, it's opinion, you seem to be doing well.

Possibly add other things to the 'projects showcase' other then just things from the projects section? You could add one from each section, and that'll give you more to write about. It would be including the other sections as well to this.

I enjoy reading the PMC Times, I think you guys put through with a good community effort. But can you change the picture of the chief under "A word with the chief?" It's a stance with some innuendo in it, and I think a different angle would be much better.

Thanks!
