Now if you came here for a way to get god mode on factions servers turn away because that is not what we will be talking about today. I'm talking about playing Minecraft forever or better yet being able to play Minecraft without getting to your bored point. Everyone who has played any single videogame for too long knows the phenomon. It's is one of your favorite games yet after months and months of playing you have gotten bored of it. You are sick of the game. You are sick of minecraft. This is a sad day and one that I reached months ago. (Hence the lack of actitivy) However I was spurred back into playing it by one of my friends. Here is that story.
The story
It had been months since I played Minecraft, I hadn't even booted it up. Then one day my friend starts talking to me at school, he is newly into minecraft just has been playing for a few days. He wants to play on a server. I kinda wave him off but it stays in the back of mind. Finally one day he calls me up on Skype. He wants to know how to make a modded server. After several frustrating hours of work we finally boot the thing up. It had only a few basic mods and it still took us a few more of hours work before we really got it working well. But I enjoyed every minute of it. Once we started playing I enjoyed getting to share my minecraft knowledge with him. Teaching him all the things I learned years ago, and I myself started to get into a new mod. Playing with him reinvigorated my experience.
How-To
Now I know this isn't going to be the same scenario for everyone, and it might not work for some people at all. But I know that it can work. All you need is new players, people who themselves get sucked into the game. You have to be Minecraft Vampire. You have to use these people as your personal foutain of youth. It doesn't sound admirable when you put it that way, but it works. You transfer their excitement to you and through them you get excited. Now this will pretty much tie your excitment to theirs (like some sort of voodoo doll) if they get bored you will start to as well, and then you will have to move on to the next victim. Once you have used up all the people in your local area I suggest going to places like Planet Minecraft and Minecraft forums to find more prey. This should keep you plaing for a long time.....P.S. In reality though it does take new players to keep us "veterans" playing and it will always continue to be that way. So if you ever want to nostalgia out and relive your glory days of Minecraft, show it to a friend and hopefully all those memories will come flooding back
