Chapter Four

Before he was out of my reach I whisked the Flint and steel out of his pocket in an instant. He turned, steam blowing from his nose out of rage and yanked it back, "That's not to be messed with!" I reached for it again, in amazement, and he smacked my hand away. "Stop it! What does it do?" I whimpered, pouting.
"It does nothing."
"Well if it doesn't do anything..." I smiled and took it from him again and flicked it on. Fire caught to my hand.

I flinched from the pain and dropped it. "Darn it lady! Get a grip!" He put my hand out. Suddenly, I realized that we were now standing in the midst of burning grass. The flames spread, reaching my house and the hill where his house was. Luckily, the stone that was underneath allowed his house to not incinerate before our very eyes. "No!" I cried. He caught my wrist and held me back from running towards my burning house. I stopped trying, and panted. Suddenly a figure emerged from the flames. "What in the-" Meichrob stopped, amazed.
"My name is Andrew." His dark eyes glared and his voice made the hair on my neck stand firm.
"I work for your father." He looked at me and snickered, "I'm here for you."
Meichrob stepped in front of me, "Back off man, you can't control anyone."
Andrew's smile left his face, "Oh?" He whipped his head to the side and almost instantly Meichrob was flung to the edge of the flames.
Andrew looked at me, "Stevette. Your father needs you. Now."
I nodded, "Okay." Gulping, I went with him.

My world suddenly faded as we went through a purple portal. "Welcome to his domain. The Nether." Andrew turned to me, his eyes as red as an apple. I shivered. Though it was hot, this world seemed so cold and lifeless.
