HEY! Guess who it is?
It's... RUSTY! And to those who heard me say I left PMC, your expression is like seeing a ghost when I pop up on submission list
not surprisingly... Some of you may react... jumpy...
Guess I'm just a little bit of a... Well... I'm not that much of a good person really...
BUT WHO GIVES A CRAP!?!?! :D
Also I hate all these stereotyper's saying that all the 'good' blogger's have fancy smanchy text they make outside of PMC. Well that's just too bad for you, because I can do whatever the heck I want, and if I turn out to be a good blogger or a bad blogger (and yes, that is still undecided.), I might just look back at you guys and laugh!
You know what? THAT will be the topic today, it will be as it relates to PMC, how there is no 'perfect' or even 'right' blogging method, but first we must go back to the basic of our dumb human and rational needs, a dictionary...
Blog:
(I use dictionary.com, problem? U WANA TAKE DIS OUTSIDE WEBSTER-IAN!!!)
1. A website containing a writer's or group of writers' own experiences, observations, opinions, etc., and often having images and links to other websites.
Blog is short for 'Web log', usually referring to a diary of sort kept online, or to keep something as a reference to look at (online..).
Using this fantabulous reference, we could conclude that even a poorly written entry on Wikipedia can be considered a 'blog'. So, now that we all have some common ground for what a blog is,(which btw to all my hypocrite lovers, is how you write a good blog XD LOLOL) well, now we can start on the thing I wanted to scream in your faces about!
Is there really such thing as a 'right way' to blog?:
Dangit, if there is a right way to blog, I think I'm doing it wrong ;A;... XD
Alright but seriously let's explore the concept, is there a 'right' and 'wrong' way to blog?
"My idea of the "right" way to blog would to try and use actual formatting, and being 'politically correct'."
- MayuriYandere
Well of course when you blog, you should be mindful of your grammar, use correct punctuation, spacing, yady yady yada. You should also try to not offend anyone. (not me? Oh shucks)
Watch this... (or rather, read)
--Cat's, bugs, the laundry, minecraft, Kleenex, worship music, drums, rock but no roll, rapid oxidation, funny names, some chick with lemon hair.--
That was all my clear thoughts in a 5 second span. Now you may find this hard to believe, but just a little longer and some fancy reasoning or backing up as to what I think of these things, and we've got ourselves a blog! "But Rusty, your mental [yes I am]! How can this possibly be!?"
Because nerds, it just is...
But apart from that, when it comes down to it, blogging is really just your opinion. It doesn't matter if you have fancy text or even big and welcoming images, because it's just what you think!
Is there a 'wrong way' to blog?:
Grab the confusion papers kid, and get ready to sue me for mental distress. While there may be a right way to blog, there is most definetly a 'wrong way'. Yikes.
Calm down foo (read that in a mr.T voice plz), blogging is still just an expression, but you still have a wrong way to blog.
There IS an actual line you have to cross before you can get to 'opinion'.
For example:
Blog 1:
Hey guys so there is some fun upcoming stuff on my p-file, like we be building and mak'n party islands k? So u can explore and other shiznit in our open worlds. Stay cool my bruh's, peace \_//
Blog 2:
Hey guys so recently I've heard people being over obsessed about diamond's. Guy's we need to stop this, because diamonds aren't everything. They may look fancy but deep down there the devil's work D:!
Blog 3:
Hey guys so after hearing about (insert PMC problem here), I really think you guys should stop.
Guess which one could be correctly considered a 'right blog' (putting aside our inner grammar Nazi's)?
Spoiler! It's blog 2. Blog 2 was an opinion, let me tell you the slight things that make blog 1 and 3 NOT blogs, and
what makes #2 a blog
Blog 1? NOPE:
We can't classify this as a blog for... Well everyone knows why, this is simply an update and contains almost no valuable information, heck it's against the rules even XD
Blog 2? DING DING DING:
This blog actually contained an opinion on some matter, and also contained enough info to back up the statement, making a log of thoughts and why
Blog 3? Almost, but NOPE:
When I say almost, I mean this contained an opinion of someone on matter, however it didn't really contain much else. It was simply an issue and telling someone not to do it, a blog however would also be someone's view as to why or why not the issue should be changed.
NOTE: ANYONE WITH BRAINS WILL PROBABLY POINT OUT NONE OF THESE ARE VIABLE TO BE BLOGS DUE TO THERE EXTREMLY MINISCULE LENGTH. I GET IT, MOVING ON.
Lady's and gents, the lovely Paint_Bucket!
'Sup paint. So what is your view on what a 'right' blog is?
My view? I think a blog should be something everyone can relate to. Easy to understand.
K. Now what what is your view on what a 'wrong' blog is? (What a blog shouldn't be)
I think blog's that aren't the right way are the ones which don't take time and effort to get their opinions across, Doesn't gather the information to back up their points, and basically just writing a brick full of nonsense.
Anything else to add while I'm giving you the main spotlight on my blog :P?
Hmm... personality should be shown in the 'right' as it becomes interesting and more personal to the author and the audience.
Writing with personality gives of a certain flare in the reading of a blog. Basing your writing on your opinions gives the reader a unique look at the topic the author is representing to their audience.
Awesome. Well have a good day... or... night? idk (it's midnight where he is)
It IS... Well good day then :P
Everyone that was Paint_Bucket! Go check him out he's a fine skinner... Wait... That doesn't sound right...
(Don't even think that dirty thought guurl or imma cutchu!)
Well in conclusion, I'll sum this whole blog in a nutshell to two different groups [Yes, we mean you didn't actually have to read it all XD!]:
Blogging is not as much something you can do perfectly per say, blogging is simply the expressions of someone, our inner most thoughts pouring out onto a webpage, a word document, a peice of paper, a wall. Whatever it is, we as humans blog because we want to share our feelings, deep down we want to push aside our political views and just make a blog.
To group number two of people
People, if you don't agree with a blog, shaddup! Blogging is peoples way of saying what they think, and people should be able to do that without other people judging them.
Blogging is not defined as 'A person telling you what to do and what not do', rather a blog is actually 'A person telling you what they think you should do'. Now last time I checked when someone tells you what they think, that doesn't mean their right. Because that is subjective thought, and while this world strives on subjectivism (unforchunatly most of it actually does), we do need to look at facts sometimes, and use that to judge instead of just lashing opinion vs opinion, because unless we all have some common ground to keep our opinions from starting a huge flame war, blogging becomes a pointless pratice. So please, remember opinions are opinions, and facts are facts. No opinion is a fact and no fact is an opinion.
Hope you had a good time, and remember...
QUE FUN MUSICAL PARODY INTERLUDE!
It's not unusual to love any of my blogs,
it's not unusual to laugh at my blogs,
but when I see you just ignore that blue button,
it's not unusual to see me cry,
oh I wanna die... (just kidding if I died I couldn't make more of these things :P)
