So, I don't usually tell stories about my life on this profile, but I was bored, so I decided to write a story about this. Here goes:

Four years ago, me and my big bro named Ian were sitting at home, bored to the point of death. My mom, dad, and two sisters were gone, so it was just us two; anywho, after a while of playing CoD and watching Youtube, Ian came up to me and suggested burning a cardboard box (keep in mind the fact that we live in a small town with nothing to do in it, so we got bored pretty easily). So we cut windows in the box and took it to our fireplace.

We have a pretty big backyard, and in the center of it was a garden where my mom usually had plants growing, but at this time, it was overgrown with tall, dry grass. Our fireplace sat about ten feet away from the lower right corner of the garden; so we set fire to the box and watched as it burned to the ground (No, we were not malicious in any way... I think). So we're watching the ash die down, and as we're watching it, I see one small, bright orange ash float up from the fireplace and flutter towards the garden, where it then settles down.

I was smaller back then, so I didn't think anything of it, until my brother gets up and says, "Geddy! Help!"

I looked up, and I saw one small flame in the garden. So my brother runs to where the water hose should be, to which he found it wasn't. So he runs to the front yard to get the hose from there, while I run in to get a big cup of water; after getting the water, I run (with my head down) to the garden, as the heat getting hotter. I lifted my head up, and the whole this was on fire.

Thankfully, my brother got the hose hooked up in time to soak the flaming patch that used to be a garden, and to let it get nowhere else.

We went inside, closed the door, shut the blinds, and waited until our mom and dad got home. When they did, we just told them "hi" and tried to act normal.

Later on, my brother told me, "I'm going to tell mom and dad."

We walked into their room and Ian said, "Mom, Dad. We have something to tell you."

My mom was looking at her book and my dad was looking at his phone, so they just looked up, and slowly, a smile crept across my dad's face. "Yes?" He said.

Ian told them about what happened, and to our surprise, Mom and Dad weren't mad. They even laughed and told us not to worry. "It's fine, we're just glad you're okay. It'll help the garden to be fertile anyway."
