It was a cool afternoon on Christmas Eve. I was staring out the window, looking at the falling snow. Suddenly, I see a flash of red eyes near the fence in front of the woods. Curious, I put on my coat and investigated the area I saw it. About  five minutes in, I see a trail of footprints in the snow. As I'm following the path this... THING... left, I notice each print is slightly stained with some kind of red substance. I walk faster so I can get this over with and satisfy my curiosity.

   Eventually, I reach my destination. The trail stops at, what seems to be a small hut. Inside, there was only a small window and a pine tree that has grown through the floorboards. As I'm looking around the room, once again, I see those eyes staring at me just through the window. Only this time it kept staring for a few seconds, then disappeared.

   Just like last time, I followed the footprints. At this point I was confident that the red substance was blood. Then, however, I saw something that made me turn back home imeadiately.

   It was a corpse of a man, with it's hands stabbed to a tree.

   I was sprinting back home, already planning how to explain what I just saw to the police. The wind was blowing hard, so I temporarily took shelter in the cabin. Once the wind died down, and I got ready to leave, I saw a small brown package under the pine tree. I took the box as evidence and made my way back home.

   Finally, I reached the house. Once I was safe inside, I carried the package to the dining room table. I sat down and tore off the paper. Inside the box, there was a small hand mirror. I pick up the mirror and looked at the reflection...

   ...I screamed.

   What I saw was the red eyes, along with an inhuman smile, and a sharp, bloody knife.
