VERY IMPORTANT:

Please note that this page looks like it was copy and pasted because of the white text, I would like to inform all of you that it technically WAS copy and pasted, but not in the way you think. My mom has been driving around the state looking for dogs to adopt, and being so I have been in the car for the past few day. During that time in the car, I would write all my blog posts down in the notes section on my I-Pod. When I returned home I then emailed it to myself, then copy and pasted it from my email to this page. Thank you for listening.

This Post will be organized by the estimated percent of Minecraft players that know each fact about the game.

Please note- This post will be updated whenever I learn more interesting facts. If you know something that isn't on here make sure to leave a comment and I'll put it on right away!

At the moment, there is an insanely large increase in Minecraft sales, which means more nooblets! :D

Also, please note that these are not numbered as I will be adding more daily.

Please diamond if you think it deserves it! :)

90% of Minecraft players know that:

Creepers are afraid of ocelots/cats
A zombie can infect a villager
You can attack with a sword while blocking.
Water can flow up to 8 blocks
Plants can use ANY light source to grow

Creepers don't give free hugs! :(
Every mob naturally spawning in the nether is immune to fire
There are only two mobs that actually catch fire in the daylight, zombies and skeletons.
Silverfish will reproduce from nearby stone blocks
If a skeleton shoots another mob, that mob will attack it
Placing 2 chests next to each other will make a bigger chest

If you knew all of the above information, congratulations your not a COMPLETE nooblet! :D

70% of Minecraft players know that:

Right clicking a mooshroom with a wooden bowl will give you mushroom stew
Wood tools are better than gold (with the exception of enchanting and speed)
A half slab can be placed over a chest, without preventing you from opening it
Coal cooks eight items
Wood planks cook 1.5 items
Sticks cook 0.5 items
Cacti can't grow or be placed with any SOLID block adjacent to it
You don't need the corners of nether portals for it to work
If a creeper/TNT is in water when it explodes, there will be no terrain damage
pistons can not push obsidian or utilities (besides crafting table)
Endermen hate water
If a skeleton kills a creeper with an arrow, the creeper will drop a music disk.
If a pig, chicken, or cow is killed while on fire, the meat it dropped will already be cooked
When holding f3, the nether is called Hell, and the End is called Sky
Mobs cannot spawn on half blocks

50% of minecraft players know that:

Tripwires can be tripped by tripped by arrows
Wood buttons can be hit by arrows
Creepers become "supercharged" when hit by lightning
Having staring contests with endermen is bad for your health
Lapis can be mined with a stone pick
Silverfish blocks take slightly longer to mine than normal stone
Blocking halves damage taken.
Attacking an enderman's legs will prevent it from teleporting
Putting soul sand on ice will make you go slower then if you were on soul stand alone
Breeding sheep of different colors has a chance of the baby being a mix of them (ex. Blue +Red = Purple)
It's easier to catch fish in the rain
Ender become PASSIVE again if touched by water
If your x OR z Cordinates are divisible by 16, you are on a chunk edge
Even though cauldrons store water, jumping in one will not stop you from being on fire
Trapped and normal chests can be placed directly next to each other without connecting.

30% of minecraft players know that:

Lapis has a rarer % then diamond, although it has a larger space to spawn in.
Water gives blazes boo boo's
You can get water in the nether by using silk touch on ice
Milk removes all potion affects
Emeralds can only be found in extreme mountain biomes
You can use ANY meat to heal your tamed dogs, even rotten flesh
Cobblestone is practically obsidian in the nether (to ghast shots)
A wolf/dog will not attack a creeper
Lava flows 7 blocks in the nether instead of 3 (4 counting the source block)
If a player is killed by an arrow from a dispenser in Multiplayer, it will say [Player Name] Was Killed by Herobrine.
Pumpkins are more rare then diamond. Seems legit XD
Jukeboxes can be used to fuel a furnace, although not a good idea

10% of Minecraft players know that:

You can CURE zombie villagers with a potion of weakness and a golden apple (but takes some time)
If a pig is hit by lightning, it becomes a pig zombie
Placing a skeleton spawn egg in the nether spawns a wither skeleton
Critical hits are dealt when the player is falling, not randomly
An exploding creeper at point blank range has enough power to kill you 2 1/2 times, making it unblockable.
The ~ symbol can hang off the edge of a sign
You can sleep through a daytime thunderstorm
On AVERAGE there are 3 diamond ore per chunk
if you leave the seed input blank, it uses your computer clock time (even seconds)
It takes 4 Minutes 10 Seconds to break obsidian with your fist

5% of Minecraft players know that:

The ghast noise came from C418's cat
A golden tool has a better chance to receive a better enchantment.
An enderman can pick up a rose
Squids can ride in mine carts
There are exactly three strongholds in every new world
The spider is 1 and 1/2 blocks wide, not 2 blocks.
Notch almost called Minecraft "Cavegame" which was inspired off one of his original games called "Rubydung"
Endermen sounds are actually WORDS, but played backwards and distorted
Each chunk is made up by 65,536 block, but most is air
When thrown at a blaze, a snowball will do 1.5 hearts of damage to it
In real life a golden apple would weigh 154 tonnes or 340393 pounds. It would be like carrying a small blue whale
The creeper was made from Notch's failed attempt at making a pig! XD
It is possible to grow a tree above the height limit
if on soul sand, Zombies and Skeletons wont burn from the sun

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please diamond if this helped!

I knew it all (besides the weight of a golden apple irl but wtf xD).

Btw, cacti cant just not grow with any solid block next to it, but they cant grow with ANY block next to it (so both solid and non-solid blocks). Having an entity next to it (for example an item frame) wont break it.

Hm. I came here to rant a bit, as most 'did you know' Minecraft blogs don't have anything new in them.. But I've been playing the game for a year now, and some of your tips here are new to me.

Diamond and fav. :)

About the obsidian taking 4 minutes 10 seconds to break with your fist, that isn't true
Obsidian takes 4 minutes 10 seconds to break with your fist, underwater, and floating.

Actually,
any undead monsters (ie zombies, skellies, wither skellies, zombie pigman) burn in daylight, yet since wither skellies and zombie pigman are nether mobs, the fire doesnt stay;
silverfish blocks mine like dirt, use you fist when in a stronghold;
the <player> was killed by herobrine was changed the update after it first appeared,since herobrine is not an official part of minecraft, and was replaced with <player> was shot by arrow;
skellie spawn eggs have an 80% chance of spawning wither skellies in the nether, not 100%;
blazes lose 2 hearts from snowballs, enderdragon 1;
the pig was made before the creeper, Notch attempted the first living pigman that would explode on death, used the pig as a base, and when the texture turned to static, he tinted it green, gave it a face, and called it the creeper. thats about it. pleas dont ask.

If a baseball (Similar size) was made of solid gold, it would merely weigh 30lbs. (14Kg)

I heard that creepers, after Notch's failed attempt, where supposed to become a type of zombie when implemented into the game, but forced itself to explode. They decided that exploding zombies weren't very nice( or appetizing), so they gave it a hissing sound effect and a different texture.
