Hello to all who are reading!
Hi, my name is 1019brick, and I have a created this blog on how to create and maintain a Minecraft multiplayer server. Now first, you ether need to know how to port forward or of have a sustained amount of cash.
Hosted Servers
Now I dono t know how to port forward, so I will be talking about hosted servers. Hosted servers are provided by Minecraft hosting websites. People pay them to run their servers. They also give you an IP and other goodies, like domains. Domains are server IPs that have specific names. Instead of 198.24.167.210:25638 (my server IP) you can have mcpr.MedievalStarCraft.net (I wish was mine). With lots of hosting sites, they also provide access to your configuration files. Personally, I like MC Pro Hosting, just because they are great people to work with, and you can create a server in less than 10 minutes. With MC Pro, you can also use FTP. Ftp is a way to access your server files. Whether it is your plugins or your world files, it is super easy to get to them.
Game Plan
Now before this all goes to your head, you need to think to yourself. Is this going to be the greatest server of all time? Will this be just for my friends and I? You need to have a game plan. Without one, you may be spending too much money on a server or too little money. You also have to account what your server will be. Will it be Factions? Role Play? Just survival? You must decide before buying it.
From you PC
If you figure out how to port forward, then just remember that the same rules apply. It all depends on how great your computer functions and how much memory it has on the hard drive. If the server will be just for your friends, then it wono t take up much of your PCo s memory. If you want a huge multi-world, arcade server, then you need a pretty beefy computer.
Put it Into Action
Now time for the fun stuff. Whatever you decide as for what your server will be, put it into action. Once your srever is up and running, grab some friends if your ready to build spawn. If you are going for hardcore arcade/factions, get the plugins and build some awesome place for the players to spawn in to find the portals to get to the other dimension. The posibilitys are endless, really, lust remember in the long run, the servers all come down to your budget and how much effort you want to put into it.
If you liked this blog, please diamond it, because honestly, it really helps me become more successful as a PMC member. Also, if you liked this, check out some of my other stuff, such as my server or my page.
Good luck on your server!
