I had this very confusing dream last night and it kinda spooked me so I thought I would talk about it.
The Dream:
I stood right in front of this huge waterfall in this old forest (which now that I think about it the forest looked alot like the one near my house.) and at my feet were two stones, one with a small hole through it well the other had some sort of claw mark. Then the wind started and every tree around me swayed like it was trying to get out of the ground. Once the wind stopped the trees stopped, so I walked over to the tree closest to me and you know what I saw? Claw marks just like the one on the rock, so I went back to the waterfall and examined the rock. It was too big to carry so I ran back and forth to match them and then I hear it. Footsteps behind me, I spun around and standing in front of me was this 8-to-10-foot-tall thing all black with long spindle-y claws and it's limbs were all warped and twisted. It grinned at me and the moment it did I turned and ran back to the waterfall, but it was somehow there already so I ran the other way and there it was again, it grinned at me again and shot it arms out to grab me. I ducked and ran back again, only this time it chased me instead of it popping up. It continued to chase me, so I ran back into the woods and then I tripped over a root, the shadow thing came up to me and bent down, it grinned again and opened it's mouth like it was going to bite me.
Then I woke up. And now I spent the entire morning watching the woods out my window. And all I saw was the trees, swaying like they were trying to get away from something.
So, yeah. That was my dream or nightmare or something idk.

For example, I was able to stay alive thanks to the fact that I paid due attention to one of my dreams. Although this is more likely to apply to those cases when what you dream about can happen in reality.
But even nightmares are connected with your problems/experiences in life.
Also, after I had the dream Jav and I went there and found the spot I had dreamed, but the only thing missing was the two rocks and the scratched tree.
I plan on drawing the shadow thing today well Javier looks into the library records to tonight.
I have never seen anything like this, like I'm flipped rn.
And here is proof:
#1: The forest was where your uncle took you to explore when you were younger. You've been avoiding it after he passed away.
#2: The monster isn't a shadow nor is it a demon, it reflects the weird nature of cancer and what have you always been afraid of? Things you can't explain, that's why it looks the way you described it.
#3: The stones, the one with the hole could mean emptiness or broken heart, and the clawed one means a scar or wound that will be a great deal.
#4: The trees aren't trying to leave; they're trying to get your attention.
#5: The older man didn't say "shadow" he said schnell which means quickly or fast in German. And he probably was panting from running.
#6: The house exploded, turns out there was a very small gas leak from the house which is why it had smelled so bad whenever kids went near it. Something metal may have fallen during the storm and ignited a spark causing to burn into nothing but ash.
Seriously buddy you didn't have to ping me. I just said something obvious.
