Hi Guys! This is my first tutorial in PMC and what made me make this tutorial is the fact that I've been seeing a lot of builds that have very little detail. If you want to build something build like a castle, you have to have detail. So here are 10 steps that I took to make my Castle of Dreams.

1.The Flat wall
We Normally start with a flat wall. Never, ever end with a flat wall. Having a flat wall is really boring and has no detail. So let's move on.

2. Different materials.
Instead of a plain stone brick wall, we can use cobble to make it less plain.

3.The Variety
We don't want our wall to be completely made of grey blocks so we remove a little bit and replace them with something different. In this case, glowstone. This adds a little bit more 'variety' to the structure. It also provides lighting. Make sure every block that you use 'blends' with each other.

4.Extra touches before adding more detail.
This is normally up to you but when I place a block at the second layer I don't want it to be completely exposed so I use half slabs to solve that.

5. Adding the main detail.. Stairs and slabs??

Yes we are going to use stairs and slabs to add more detail. Kinda weird but very effective. Use them in a variety of ways and patterns as long as there is a little symmetry and make sure its not too random especially with the materials.

Now add more detail. Make sure it looks nice. If it doesn't(happens to me normally) Just rearrange it till your satisfied. Remember to have a little symmetry.

Make sure that you have minimal empty spaces. If you do just fill it up with some detail. (stairs and slabs)

8.Finished the wall....the front wall (now for the back)
Remember when we added the glowstone? well it looks ugly from inside so why don't we do something about that bare wall.

9.The final detail
Let's add the final detail to the interior wall. You know what I mean by 'detail' right?... Just apply the last 7 steps on the interior. Don't make them the same! Add variety.

10.The final step, the final touches.
Add the final touches in this case I just added trapdoors to the glowstone so its not completely exposed.

Thats all Guys hope it helps improve your building skills!
