Introduction.

Hello everyone, It's me again! Your favorite writer! (Okay maybe not...). But anyway, as I'm sure you all know, the annual Planet Minecraft ExtraLife charity event is coming up again, and that got me in a happy, charitable sort of mood. And once I got thinking about being less greedy and giving to the needy and all that, I though of how desperately some people depend on the support of others, and in my opinion, these people deserve our help. Like, have you ever been walking to the subway station, (maybe you were going to a Baseball game or something,) and as you were getting onto the escalator, a homeless man or woman comes by and asks you for money. Now - here - you have two choices: You can look into the kindness of your heart, and give them some of your spare change - or you could say no, and walk away. Now, it's definitely understandable that you might not want to give them money - maybe because you don't have enough money that you can give some away. Anyway, I'm going to be writing here about what it really means to be considerate, and maybe you'll feel better about being more charitable. Anyway, I hope you enjoy! I'm not trying to disrespect those who aren't as charitable as others, so I hope that said people don't get offended by this!

What does it mean to be considerate?

As the dictionary defines it:

To care about the well being of others or to think about how the choices you make might affect other people.

anyway, consideration comes in all shapes and sizes, and it can really happen in ways as simple as your friend helping you take out your trash - or your neighbor offering to mow your lawn for you. You can also be considerate, just do anything that might be helpful. Say your friend has lost a loved one - be there to comfort them. Friend having surgery - give them a gift basket? Make dinner for their kids? The choice is yours.

Alright.. yeah... but why should I be considerate?

There are many.... many.... MANY reasons why you should be considerate. But the major one is to just be a part of building a better community. But why is it significant to do that? Well, okay, I admit it, one person slacking off won't make a difference, but all of us not helping eachother? Where is that going to get us? Absolutely nowhere. We're just going to.... be there. Just a bunch of selfish pigs!Now - I know it's not always easy to remember to be charitable, and think of those in need, no, definitely not. If we, as human beings try to portray ourselves as perfect creatures, we'd be insane. But we can always try to be better, and improve upon ourselves.
