So we have all been there when notch is like "NEW UPDAAAATE!!!!!" and errbody is like fuck yeah and then u realize "awww man non of my single player mods work non of the servers are updated and there is no cool texture packs, i geuss i'll wait till people update their stuff" (2 days later) " aww shit yeah new mods and texture packs!!" the suddenly notch is like " i fucked something up last time ima fix it and add something!" and in your head your like "are you laying a brick on my chest i waited 2 damn days...." but u digress. so another few days roll by but you've noticed bugs so ur on the look out for an update. few more days and ur like "maybe it'll take him awhile maybe he's working on VALVe time," so u download some mods and your like "man ive never had this much fun in single player!" then boom like car to the face an update and now u know that means no more fun for awhile because modders are fed up with re doing their shit errday so now you're out of fun mods for awile and let's face it once you've played with mods it's not as fun without them and really once you've survived long enough in single player that when u open a chest it looks like kay jewlers you've done all you can do. now all that was preamble to what i was building up to this is the thing you do when u have nothing else to do in minecraft, you get all your iron and all your flint and you make a metric shit ton of flint & steel you pack up your essentials and u kiss fido goodbye and u set out to find the biggest mother fucker of a forrest. and once you find this mean mother hubbard you make camp and you just start burning shit just lighting everything you see on fire! this is the greatest thing to do when ur bored there isn't any mods out and seriously ive gone through like 20 flint and steels in five min. i mean just watching it spread (like a wildfire) just makes a"warm" feeling in your heart and then u know... this is why minecraft was made.
