Have you ever tried fishing in Minecraft?
It can be a long a tedious job, the life of a fisherman is a hard one and can be very time consuming to say the least.. long waiting times and little rewards for those who have time to swing a hook and wait a few hours..
I think it's time the one thing that has not been changed since the old school fishing and squid were added back in the beta days.
As many features Mojang can release to occupy and use our time the better whether it be new potions or even fireworks.. Yet the most common biome of all remains the same!
A new update is needed!
And you know it.
Under the sea.. under the sea... life is much better when it is wetter take it from me!
Yeah you heard me right we want more action under the waves and here are just a few ways I believe Mojang could do so.
Let's start off with a list (because lists are fun, right?)
- Sea life and new water mobs.
- Things to do under the sea.
- Rare items that require you to adventure.
- A way to get to the deep depths of the ocean.
- Under water ores.
- A way to find these rare new things.
Sea life and new water mobs.
Think of all the possibilities you could have when it comes to under the sea mobs maybe whales, sharks, narwhals, fish or even oyster that carry pearls for adventurous people hunting for a challenge.
Things to do under the sea.
Imagine diving deep under the sea to find yourself your very own ship wreck complete with chests and rare treasure yet it would not be as simple as just looting the place you will need skill and whit's to out run the mobs of the sea world.
There may also be coral reef which you can extract rare elements from like glowstone and sea warts which grow deep within.
Rare items that require you to adventure.
Like I mentioned in the last two points the idea of treasure chests and ship wrecks are sure to send a shiver down the spine of any young miner not to mention the pearls and riches beyond your wildest dreams.
A way to get to the deep depths of the ocean.
Of course with all this gold dust (and other treasure) deep under the waves an adventure would need a way of getting to these... How about aqua infinity but not like small aqua infinity but like a much larger time allowing huge amounts of time under the water (but you don't want to get wrinkly).. You could even have a aqua potion..
Maybe different boats, they could be as simple as having the 3 new different types of wood versions or maybe more advanced like diamond boats that allow the player to go at a much faster pace.
Under water ores.
As exciting as all this may sound we all know the true meaning of Minecraft is to mine (its kinda in the name) so having new and interesting ores that are only available under the sea would allow you to mine yet not be in a mine shaft.. genius!
A way to find these rare new things.
With all the new and interesting things you may need a way to find them so how about implementing maps that spawn randomly in abandoned mineshafts, dungeons and even other ship wrecks meaning your adventure can continue endlessly.
I hope you have enjoyed my ideas and agree that many of them would be super awesome cool!
If you have any ideas of your own feel free to leave them in the comments bellow.
Thanks again,
-Andrew
(Thanks for front screen and all the feedback!)
Here are some of the feedback and idea's that you guys have come up with!
- Submarines and Motors which would make for some super server PVP battles.
- Adding Atlantis as a underwater stronghold type of building.
- Visible fish! (so you can see the suckers before you catch em!).
Keep up the good work and awesome feedback (*claps hands*).

Underwater ores will encourage players to scourge the ocean, instead of being annoyed about the fact it goes for miles long. Sunken ships and treasure will do so too. I am also tired of squids, and how they just float aimlessly, doing nothing, while only giving few xp and ink sacs.
This will go great with that boat Minedea, by vaxivop
Good luck!
