The 'Only' Good People
We all know famous users, at least 2 for every submission type. These users put in a lot of hard work and back-breaking effort to give us the quality content that PMC deserves. We all know that PMC is a place where any Minecraft member can create submissions for the community and share them with the world. These users are doing the same thing but they are literally well known.
So what is my problem? Well, first you say I have a problem, and secondly, I'm just saying that... well... famous users are famous for hard work and quality submissions. There are users who have been part of the community for longer than they have, and have better quality submissions with more hard work put in, but the disgusting fact... drumroll please!
The person who put in more effort is unrecognised. Why? First off, they post as frequently with BETTER submissions. Secondly, the users aren't as recognised as they are. They have better submissions but the famous users get all the credit they deserve for their own stuff. I am not saying that every single famous famous person is overrated, but some poor users are underrated.
I can admit, it is all completely dependant on what opinions other people have for both parties. What I am talking about is a few of the many people seeing famous submissions, stroll down and see an unrecognised submission and love it more; every single (well nearly) user likes it better to some extent. For instance, if everyone saw the submission, from a user using PMC longer, that person would be famous, but unfortunately that is not how this cruel world works.
Why Are These People Gaining Unfair Advantages?
There may be good (as in bad) reasons why they have fame, or bad (as in well, bad too.) The first thing I will say, is being a Site Moderator. Since everyone will know your name due to your new duties and responsibilities, more people check your profile and therefore seeing your submissions. This way can make somebody famous for even the most crap submissions ever! Because you report all the time and be so mature does (and should not) mean you get famous for submissions.
SPAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I am thus talking about spam yet again. People spam their submissions, and as soon as one gets famous, the rest do. Let's just say that on YouTube, SkyDoesMinecraft said butter in replacement of gold, and got famous (it's true.) Now crap videos are getting so famous on YT.
And finally, here is another one. People get famous from currently famous people. When a famous person subs a crap user, everyone will come and have a look at them to say congrats, you are awesome. Not much more to say :(

MISC.
Want to find an unrecognised user, look hard enough and you might find one. We will never know because nobody knows. Their fame does not exist, so only 2 people know about them. Buried in limbo, what could have been made has been wasted.
My final point on this current topic, is stealing (kinda.) Let's say a user posts a blog on how Stealing is bad. It gets 3 diamonds and on the lower pop reel. A day later, a famous user comes and posts something about exactly the same thing, not only getting more diamonds (for less worded and more stupid) for their submission but knocking off the other guy's ORIGINAL submission, that was high quality. People then spam his comments saying how he stole the famous guy's submission. People love users because they're famous, not because they have good, quality submissions.
So my point is, let the unrecognised have a chance to express, don't revolve around the elites. Please know that there is someone better than the famous people.

i just had that super jelly feeling about SUPER crappy famous ppl... that means they are only famous for another person or cause of their rank....
In this cruel world, as you say, it seems one does not get popular unless another steps down from the podium...
Anyways, true. I can't say that the spam works, I never tried it (Never will) but, eh. True, True, True, Good. =)
