Has vanilla minecraft gotten boring for you?
Have you found yourself sick of the standard survival senerio, beating the ender dragon, collecting diamonds, defeating the wither, etc?
I know I have! So I sat down to try to come up with some ideas to spice up a vanilla world without adding mods. Here is what I came up with in my free time:
Nomad Survival:
You are a wandering nomad, a traveller with no land. Forever you shall roam this world.
CHALLENGE:
Stay on the move, never stay at a house for too long. The longest you can spend at one house is 4 hours in game.
This prevents you from becoming to powerful in one location, and allows you to see the most land.
You are a man of tradition. Your father lived here, and before that his father, and before that his father. And you shall live here, and so shall your child, and your child's child, and so on.
CHALLENGE:
You may only settle in one biome type. You may choose the biome.
This prevent you from expanding to far, and limits the kinds of resources that you may collect.
Insomniac:
You lay in bed sleeplessly. You swing your feet to the floor and grab your pick and sword. You have business this night.
CHALLENGE:
You may lay in the bed to set spawn, but you may not sleep off the night.
The challenge is the inablity to sleep off your first couple of nights.
Your work requires large amounts of space, so you have decided to make a village of buildings for all your needs.
CHALLENGE:
You must make a seperate building for all of your activities. That means you make not make bread until you have a backery, you make not smelt iron until you have a blacksmith, ect.
This challenge forces you to spend more time going up the tiers, and halts immediate progress. You build buildings as you deem fit. You may make buildings such a crafting huts, backeries, armories, storage halls, ect.
You have a small voice in the back of your mind. It tells you everything must be perfect. Orderly. Correct
CHALLENGE:
You must keep you inventory organized. You must keep your chests organized. You must have a chest for each kind of material. You must keep blocks "correct". That means that you when you go caving, you must replace all that dirt and gravel that you see on the walls with stone. Be ready to carry around a stack of stone!:)
This challenge forces you to be organized, and just changes how you mine, forcing you to be for tedious.
I have more ideas that I will be posting soon! If you have any ideas be sure to add them to the comments. If I like them I may add them to the post! I also would love to hear back from you guys on what you think of my ideas! It may inspire some new ideas! If you make a youtube series playing with one or more of these challenges, please send it to me, as I would love to see them!

Vegitarian:
You dislike the slaughter of animals, and the foul taste of meat. You prefer the rich taste of bread and the sweet sensation of sugar on your tongue.
CHALLENGE:
You may not eat any meat.
This is more challenging at the beginning of your world, the obvious reason being that you must immediatly begin planting bread.
