What's With YouTuber Skins?

I'm not posting this as a forum because it's more than a quick question, it's more rhetorical than anything.

What's with the modern day YouTube skins? Back in the older days (2014--2018) there were lots of high quality skins such as the Ssundee skin, or PopularMMOs' skin. All had some work put into them. Nowadays we have skins like dream, or skeppy. worst yet caNman18. All of these newfangled people use such crap skins made of solid blobbish colours. What happened?


I apologize, that this blog is a shorter one, and that I sound like a boomer.

Before the youtuber skins were made detailed to be BEAUTIFUL and HARD TO COPY now, enter a server(Hypixel,Cubecraft,Lifeboat,Mineville(the worst server ever), you'll see at least 2 players wearing a copy of one.

Everything is oversimplified today. Look what happened to poor firefox or microsoft edge. Its just for branding so that will see a purple pixel and start wondering if its canman18.

Agreed, In 2015 I was watching, Ssundee (watched him alot until I interest) watched RejectedShotgun's Minecraft Series. Watched Crainer, LanceyPooh, DanTDM, Little Kelly (until I lost interest) and SkyDoesMinecraft and everyone's favorite well you know, STAMPY.

That's true, and though I can understand why Camman18 has his skin, since I saw his video explaining that it was what was trending at the time he made it, I just don't see why he STILL has it, and doesn't make a new one.
