Has anyone noticed and really thought about how Mojang keeps making more things changeable through resourcepacks? There was a time when only mods could change sounds, music and (more recently) block models. Yet now all those things can be changed with a resourcepack. What if Mojang doesn't intend to implement an official modding API but instead is going to make more and more things changeable through resourcepacks? For instance, they have made block and item models changable but what if they make it where you can change entity models? And if they can do that I also wonder if they could make it where you can add blocks and items through resourcepacks as well. I understand that there is a big difference between changing something already in the game and adding something new, but I still wonder if it's possible. I suppose we'll have to wait and see what happens.
(If you are a modder and you know it will never be possible to add blocks and other game features through resourcepacks, don't yell at me, I'm not a modder)
