This is a new series I'm starting, it's going be called "What would happen: ( idea ). I made this first one to give everyone an idea on what it is going be like, After this blog, I will continue the series on YOUR IDEAS ONLY, feel free to give me ideas in the comments below, Let us begin.
Adding boats/ships is one of the things I wanted most in Minecraft when I saw there were none, the reason being is that, when I was younger I loved the sea, it's inhabitants, just being around it, watching the calmness and the beauty of it, etc. I believe if Jeb added actual sailing ships of the seas that we could build ourselves with creative minds, people would explore the sea more, we could have sea battles, we could have a awesome boat house ( which I have always wanted ). It would just be more fun in my opinion. There are pros and cons of adding boats to Minecraft so let me show you them right now.
Pros: More exploration, Sea battles, portable boat houses, cool fishing spots, if you get a hole in your boat you sink, just another way to PvP as well, another way to be creative in Minecraft, no need to use those itty bitty boat block things anymore.
Cons: People can exploit this by making huge uncreative boats to grief the map, might lag more due to the extra addition to people with low spec computers, building ships are kinda hard for newer players so people that are really good at making them might put down the people who aren't good at it.
I believe if Jeb did add boats, the ocean would have to be larger and deeper for the larger boats that people will create, other than this the map and everything can stay the same.
