Everyone knows this, or at least shouldn't deny it. It's a fact, and there's no way around it. Let's face it: Planet Minecraft is a Minecraft website.

Well duh, how stupid is this guy? Of course PMC is a Minecraft website! However, everyone takes this fact for granted. I doubt anyone stops what they're doing at any given moment, just to think to themselves, "This is a Minecraft website."

Now on to my point. Minecraft appeals to many audiences, far and wide, and is arguably the most broad-audienced game in existence. My friend that lives down the street even shrugged off Minecraft the first time he saw it, but, after watching me play it for a while, he decided to buy it. The same exact thing happened with me and a different friend that also lives down the street.

Because of this, Planet Minecraft itself has a wide market. The wide audience of Minecraft is carried over to Planet Minecraft, and since PMC is clearly the best out of all the Minecraft websites, Minecraft official forum included, people all gather on this particular website.

And what happens to specialized websites with large communities? They begin to do/post things that have nothing to do with Minecraft. It reaches the extreme when they have to make a rule stating that blogs must be Minecraft related, which they did, mind you.

It's already been noticed that people branch off of the main theme (which is Minecraft). Eventually, people may realize that there are other places they could go to discuss things, free of the restriction of a specialized theme. This will really come into play in a couple of years, when Minecraft becomes "old news."

Personally, I believe that because people pay no mind to the theme of this website, they will, long into the foreseeable future, continue to hang around on PMC and do things that have nothing to do with Minecraft.

But what about even later than that, like, say, seven more years? Will PMC become like Myspace (When I say that, I'm referring to how Myspace essentially died)? What is Cyprezz to do at that point?

I can't fathom, nor can I wrap my brain around this concept. Things come and go all the time, and trends change.

Just to quote Kansas, "Everything is dust in the wind."
