Herro der Minecrafters! This is Jake here with another mob why. This will cover why zombie pigman's skin is like that. Today, I released another post that unfortunately for myself was horrible. It was a matter of my thoughts on the PMC community. Check it out if you want :P. Anyways, time to begin.
Intro
Hey guys, Jake here with another mob why. I have been seeing that this kind if thing is popular with myself. These mobs are getting harder to do so this might be my last one if I can't think of another by tomorrow. I saw that my Spider why got over 400 views! Congratulations for me and you guys who have supported me! Thanks for checking out my posts for now and hope you like this one :) This will basically be based around why Pigman's skin are like that.
Zombie Pigman
The Zombie Pigman... one of the most deadly mobs on Minecraft that gets spawned in the Nether. They are pack animals and work like wolves. When one gets hit, all the others go aggro on the thing that hit that one person. These will be based upon multiple descriptions around the web to create a theory answer created by me :). Once you hit a Pigman they won't be going neutral again. Let's say your in a server and you hit a pigman in the nether. When someone goes there, all the pigman might or will attack the person because when you hit a pigman and go through the portal the pigman still are hostile. The pigman do not care if the person didn't hit them, they will still go aggro on you. There are two ways these things spawn. 1. The usual of just spawning in the Nether. 2. A pig getting hit by lightning. Those are the two ways. The pig getting struck by lightning has a better way of creating an answer to the question rather just spawning so I will be focusing on that even more. Because Zombie Pigman are pack animals, they will spawn with 3 or 4 other Pigman with them. They also do much damage which is the reason why they're so deadly. In real life, pigs are just for bacon :P. These things give you rotten flesh so I advertise that you don't want to eat their kind of meat xD. Anyways, the sun can toast the Pigman when they are out in the daylight like regular zombies but will get extinguised within a matter of seconds. This is because the Pigman are immune to fire due to a life living in the Nether. Even when riding a pig, if it gets hit by lightning then it will turn into a Pigman. Now that's all clear time to make the final conclusion :).
Conclusion/ Answer to why pigman's skin is like that
Here is my answer that is a bit of a fictional story. What I think is that Pigman have been living in the Nether and been exposed to the heat of it so much, that once they were able to withstand it, over years their skin was melted away. The bone doesn't rot or melt for some reason. Even when pigs turn into a Pigman through the lightning something happens to their skin. The lightning being so hot and a pig's skin can only hold up so much damage, that the skin melted as well. The skin is already too much gone to be able to regen the skin itself.
