In my opinion, there are three reasons why cats are better than dogs in MC;

1. What is the most explosive Mob in the un-modded Overworld? (with exeption of the Wither) Obviously the Creeper!
While dogs run away from Creepers, cats make them run for their mommy!!!

2. When your dog falls of the skyscraper or lighthouse you are building, they will generally take fall damage! That would be a sad day for you. Although, cats do NOT take fall damage and, that is VERY handy!

3. Accidentally hit a stray dog? Now, that angry dog will bite you at 2 hearts per hit! Oh no! You were killed by your (hopefully) future dog!!! If you accidentally hit a stray cat, they will NOT attack you. Although, I'd rather you not test this theory or else the Mojang Officers Of Passive Or InterPassive Pet Abuse Team will come after you...Even though they are not a real thing.. :P
Now, Some Ideas!
1. put tamed cats around your home so Cweepeys dont go BOOM
