Why Did mojang put gold in MC?? A story of the useless item

i personaly have NO idea why they would. i read its stats,and it ha 32 to 35 uses. and i know its not very rare,but you have a 4 percent chance of finding it. and diamond is 2. i mean,come on.

Atleast make it have iron stats exept for its speed. thats all i like about the gold.

(and its pretty >:D>:D) anyway,i am going to post this on notches facebook aswell so he can think about it.

pls help spread this around mojang so they can think of makeing gold usefull.

if someone would make me a nice texture pack,i Could love it!!!!!

That is a great question. I have no idea why Minecraft would put gold into the game. I mean, god apples and notch apples are pretty cool, but if you are playing survival you most likely won't get either one because the normal golden apple is limited and does not last long at all and the enchanted golden apples take (If I did the math correctly) 72 gold! That is way too much.

No. I'm saying they could make budder more powerful(much more durability,damage,mining speed ect.),so sky would like it MOAR!

I agree with fawkdude. Isn't this a  huge reason that they made this website? So that people can discuss Minecraft related thigns. I mean, if someone started talking about Terraria I would understand why you'd be mad but this is Minecraft and it's a good debate that has been around for quite a while now.
