Ok, so I know there are a lot of people out there who really REALLY hate Minecraft. My hope is that some hater will come here and read this blog and try out Minecraft and love it - join the community!
“The graphics are ugly and blocky!”
That’s how they’re supposed to be, and if you don’t like the vanilla textures, download a resource pack.
“You can’t do anything without reading the wiki!”
So... go read the wiki? How is this a reason to not play the game?
“The fanboys!”
C’mon, is it really that hard to avoid them?
“Minecraft is for nine-year-old boys!”
Excuse me that is quite offensive to a 14-year-old girl who loves Minecraft.
“It’s too expensive!”
If you took the time to play the game you would probably realize pretty quickly that it’s worth it.
“People who play Minecraft have no life!”
Rude.
My final argument isn’t really a comeback to an argument against the game, but the main reason I find Minecraft so awesome is because it’s evolved into something so much bigger than just a game. It’s turned into a whole community, just ask any of the 1.7 MILLION members on Planet Minecraft! Not only that, it’s being used in schools as an education tool. People play Minecraft as a JOB now. I spent like seven hours a day for two weeks leaning Java because I wanted to make mods, and I ended up getting interested in learning to create video games for a living when I’m older! It’s become so much more that just placing block after block in some virtual world.

(Nice tounge-twister.)
Those are probably just excuses to hate on the game. And on the subject of blocky graphics; why can't we all just ignore graphics like the good old days of the NES and Game Boy? You don't have 1080p. Deal with it, mate.
As a 19 year old, I'm offended
Actually Minecraft is (ESRB) 10+
But they ignore it like Call Of Duty.
One reason why I don't play COD anymore.
Now, I think that Mojang is going to wrong direction in the game. Survival is not that hard anymore like it was back in beta(I think it's because of the hunger bar). It's basically useless to play SP anymore.
Now, after the 1.8 update, the servers kinda had the keep minecraft on it's feet. And it did for a while! Now there is now innovation in the server creators. It's always either factions or minigames.
It's kinda up to the mod creators to keep minecraft on it's feet currently.
This is just my opinion. I still like the game and play Towny A LOT(We need more towny servers D:)
Nice blog! Diamond!
