Why is Minecraft so buggy?

I am a huge fan of minecraft, the possibilites for gameplay, different things you can do depending on your age and interests are really great, but there are a few things that bother me.

Firstly: Why are there so many bugs? Everytime new content is introduced, there are even more bugs. Should the developers take care of most of them before taking it live?
This was understandable when the game was in Beta, but now?

The other question I have, is performance: the game is ridiculously eating away RAM, the GC works non-stop.
Could someone why is there so much memory usage?

The last questionI have is the content releases. It was said that at the adventure update, a mod api would be released, so that developers like me could write mods. But the update never came ( The adventure one did, but without many things that were promised. )

Dude, it takes time to make a game. Mojang isn't like Nintendo, they've only been coding this game for... 4 years? Nintendo's been coding for 30, so don't expect Minecraft to have no bugs. Besides, they fix the bugs.

If your gonna compare Minecraft to Nintendo, remember that Nintendo was released at1889and Minecraft was released at November 18, 2011. And plus the Japanesefounder has to be really smart. I don't know any history on the Mojang team.

1. it is really hard to fix bugs and many arent even found until after the update is released
2. the game has really complex code running it that has to run 60 times a sec on a good computer
3. its not always possible to make something in a time limit. Heres a rule for all video games: Better to delay it and make it amazing, then to rush it and make it horrible

Some players will disagree on your 3 opinion. If Mojang were making the game so much better and so much efficient some players will get so bored of the older versions because of nothing getting really released unless they have a way adressing to this situation.

My father had a look at the code and said it could be wayyyy more efficient, as they repeat strings too much.

Also I agree on your second paragraph.

Because there's this thing called a "job". Look it up. It's that thing that keeps you busy, and like, keeps you away from family and home, yeah, that. So go eat a piece of **** and go suck a lemon.

Nah I'm just joking. He says that he's too "busy" to do anything at home, so that's why I'm starting to learn Java programming :P
