You know, Minecraft has evoluted a lot. But the good chaps at the Mojang Headquarters are kinda too imaginative... At least in my point of view.
But lets start from the beggining:
In the begginging there was Classic... A sandbox game called "Minecraft" was timidly rising, with a pixeled revolution, brought by some 16x16x16 px blocks. The game went to a Survival Test, followed by Indev (In Development), then the HUGE world (plus the Far Lands) brought by Infdev (Infinite Development).
The game started to take the shape of a big success, when the Alpha stage came, bringing with it most of the Seecret Updates and the Halloween Update (and the spooky Nether). The game hit Beta in 20th December 2010, and the big, giant, awesome Adventure Update, and with it the long awaited Sky Dimension (or, as they called it, The End).
Minecon 2011 in Las Vegas, NV kicked in with... MINECRAFT OFFICIAL RELEASE!!! Yeah, party, everybody get on the floor and dance! Wahoo!!
But now stuff was different: the only-blocks game rapidly got transformed. Lots of new items (not complaining about that) got introduced, the game got complicated too much with end-game content, and lots of features that made the pixelated game that everybody loved get complicated with all the stuff we can do, and, to some old school Minecrafters, the initial spark got lost...
Again, I'm not complaining about it, I'm just saing that maybe the good fellows at Mojang should take a break on the "KABAM!!" features and relax a bit, let us explore the stuff, and maybe add some more construction blocks, so we can do more various buildings and stuff... Please, Mojang, could you do that? =D
