Hello everyone, Lme here. I've been seeing lots of posts recently from people who 'hate the updates' and 'wish mojang would stop' and I wanted to post about these updates, to show those people it just might be better when it comes.

I know you all love the server you play on, with the maps and the current items and you might think the new biome(s) are cheesy and stupid. However, the server will still be there after the update (I can't say the same about all maps though :/) and the new biome(s) in the end, make the game better.

Most of the people don't like the updates because they think mojang is just adding useless things.
'Why don't they add in more ores and weapons' say some people.

Well, you have to look at the process. With the current biomes, they don't have many new places or areas TO put the new ores without making it so you find an ore every 5 seconds while mining.
Most of you know emerald ore can only be found in the 'Extreme Hills' biome, this is an example.
With adding the new biomes, they not only can add many new blocks and items, but that LEADS to adding new ores, weapons, mobs basically anything. As you know along with the now released 1.7 update, they are not only adding many new biomes but they are also expanding the use of the ocean to us, by adding 3 more different kinds of fish. They are also adding many different flowers. (To make it easier to get dyes)

So by now, I hope you see, that by adding all of this stuff, they open up room to add more better things.
You might not necessarily like this particular update, (even though I think it's the best in a long time) but that means the next update after might be something you love, or it might not. Who knows with mojang?? We all know the point by now. Don't hate on the updates because they have new things you don't like or think are worthless. They open up ways to add more and better things in the future.

Now, for all the people who just hate updates altogether and for the server owners.
I do admit (being a server owner myself) that updates are very annoying to server owners, especially ones with biome changes. However as I've said before, in the end it makes the server(s) better. I am not going to go into explaining how or why, but it does.
For the people who just hate updates altogether, you don't have to play on the new update, with the new launcher I'm pretty sure you can upgrade/downgrade to ANY version of Minecraft. (Including beta and alpha versions)
