Hello everyone. For those of you who do not know me, I am the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the PMC Times. This is a weekly newspaper that comes out with issues every Friday with content from the people of PMC. But now I digress. Let us get started with the blog.

The Human Condition

"If something is truly great, people will love and hate it." - Malik807

Before I explain to you what makes the PMC Times so popular, I must first explain to you the human condition.

Humans themselves always covet what is not easily accessible or impossible to achieve. When faced with change that they were not apart of, humans tend to take a long time to accept that change. When faced with change that they do not understand, humans flat out reject the concept and try to deny all notion of its existence. That is why humans all fall suspect to an illusion of control. What does this have to do with this blog you may ask? You may or may not come up with the answer at the end of the blog.

To explain the quote that you read above, I have acquired over the past few months a good crowd of admirers. In addition I have also gained some haters. What does this mean? It means that I have done something to grab people's attention. Whether or not that attention is positive or negative is completely out of my control. What I can control; however, is the content that the people will see next.

The PMC Times is an entity that addresses not only all subconscious parts of the human condition, but brings about possibilities that can be related to and therefore is something that can be accepted. As the wise people always say, acceptance is always the first step.

How The PMC Times Actually Works.

While it may seem that I am a vicious dictator and force people to write for me every week, I regret to inform you all that this is sadly not the case.

I publish the PMC Times every Friday afternoon/evening. All writers in the PMC Times have free reign over what they would like to write for every weeks issue; this is provided that someone else is not already doing the same thing in which case I intervene. My writers are not obligated to submit articles every week, but must do so at least every three weeks. In any case these are my only regulations that I present to my writers and that is how the mechanism called the PMC Times works.

I received a pm the other day from a hater stating that i was, "Milking articles from people and using them to level up on PMC without any compensation for it." I will not deny that in that case I reap the benefits as publisher of the PMC Times. However all my writers can attest to this. I look out for my own. Since writing for the PMC Times, all my writers can attest that more traffic has come through their profiles onto their own personal submissions. In addition, I can always be found on the PMC Chat marketing their own submissions and trying to get them more recognition. If I really did not give a damn, would I do something like this?

My Conclusion

If I said "Do not consider subscribing to me after reading this blog",your minds would consider the prospect of it anyway. That is just who we are as human beings. My lack of empathy and emotional detachment have helped me to see this fact. However, as long as I am here on PMC, I will continue to publish weekly issues of the PMC Times.

Thank you for reading.

Malik I would like to congratulate you on the fact you have mustered a team of great writers together to create the PMC Times, I love its idea of creating a newspaper with multiple stories and different views. Its a really nice idea.

But (yes there is always a butt, we all have one, just admit it) I feel it is a bit too inconsistant. I read the first few when they came out, and noticed they were constantly changing, but accepted that, because, you were just starting out. You were trying to find what you wanted to do, but I feel PMC Times needs consistancy. I used to like the first few but after what you did stopped repeating, it became old and not that interesting, which is why a series is a popular thing. When you have something consistant with the same idea, with something new added in, it is fantastic. I personally would like to see a more consistant line up of subjects with things like news and a bit more time into it, I feel that as a group a lot of time is put into it, but not in the editorial process. You need to fit in the time to make everything neat, tidy and work. I stopped reading after the first few for that reason, and that is the same reason I like seeing series'.

Although once again I must said job well done on being able to muster that amount of people to create something like this.
What a blog of a comment!

Yea, there isn't really much 'news' anymore. It's just a bunch of different articles, interviews, stories and reviews. People would probably read it more if they knew they could use it to keep up with the latest news.

I'm new to the team, but I would like to ask - what do you consider news? What is and is not news worthy? Just news in America, England, Belgium etc. Or global news? News from what political prospective?

Just tell me some kind of topics you would deem to be 'news' and PM me them. I'll try and write a news article for the upcoming issue, and if it's enjoyed - or good enough - then I'll continue doing that. I also hope to bring out a series of short posts which engage people to speak their opinion. Would you be interested in that every week? (A statement and then evidence supporting both against and for, and letting it be discussed).
I might put some news into my stories as well.

HOPEFULLY my number 1 issue will be released in two weeks time, whilst I am in scotland. I have gone for 'gaming' news, and I hope to cover a different genre in each article and have 3-4 bits of information covering different fan bases and issues.
I look forward to your comments.

Time may not stand still, but at least if we have a society we can have a working idealistic and a stand in what we do, life will continue to strive, throughout all issues.

Thank you very much for your input Doggle. As my writers have been changing over the last few months so have the content. So i can understand where you are coming from. I will see if we can bring back some of the original elements of the Times ^_^

Also try something more permanent, i.e. have an interview a week, have a "gossip" section or something which is always going to be there. There are plenty of ways you can improve, but keep going and one day you'll get it right!

You have pulled together an amazing community of writer's, Malik, sadly, one I'm not in. >.< Okay, just get to the point. How do you join the pmc times? :P

And I do agree with the blog, you always have some haters, and some lovers (Me <3) that pull you along all the way. I'm pretty sure it's in human nature that atleast SOMEBODY will hate you, or what you do. ^.^

Great job, Malik, and thank you!

Just pm me :p and thanks.
Malik is one of the nicest person on PMC. He never asks us to write submissions, and doesn't take any without us giving permission. The reason why I give him my stories is because he can promote me. Although its unlikely people would click on my profile after the story is over, I still enjoy the fact that people look at my stories! He is definitely not milking EXP, and although I am not getting it directly, I can look at the blog and see 50 diamonds and 100s of views, and know that most of those were given due to us! Malik isn't our boss, yet, our collector, editor, and leader. He isn't a dictator, and definitely doesn't force us to do anything. We send him our work, he edits it, and leads us to success. I would call that a Collediter (I made it up).

Collediter [call-ed-it-er]
nounÃ

1. A leader that collects work from people who willingly decide to allow him/her to use it. The leader then edits the work, and allows it to be part of some sort of display, magazine, newspaper, or other type of publication. The leader gets profit, but gives all credit to the creators.

(lol my fail way of defining a made-up word T.T)

Before this, I thought that the idea of a PMC newspaper was cheezy, but once I started reading, I saw how wrong I was. These are, in fact, some of the best non-tutorial blogs I have ever seen on PMC. Great job! Keep up the good work :)

I love writing for the PMC times :) EXP is out of the question, after being on PMC for a while I just stopped caring about EXP. As long as I do what I love(writing) then I am fine :) The PMC times is a wonderful place to write, as it is getting increasingly popular.

Thank you Malik807

Wow, so you actually got a message saying 'Milking articles from people and using them to level up on PMC without any compensation for it.'? There is a huge compensation, or at least I think there is. I'm really happy that I can be a part of the Pmc times and the compensation for me is that I am on that popular blog and it lets people see what I have written and some may click on my name to see more. So it works both ways. Besides, it's really fun to write something for a blog I know will get over 30 diamonds each week. I'm attempting to write something good for the next issue :)
