Why Use Hamachi Servers?

I dont see why people make a Minecraft hamachi server. what if the people dont have hamachi but want to go on your server? well that means that they have to download it, set it up and then waste time trying to get onto that server which doesn't work because i have tried it many times and every time it has not worked for me. Hamachi is just a waste of people's time as they are most likely not going to be able to connect to the network that the server is running on?

I dont think you should use Hamachi

even tho my username has the word *Hamachi* it in doesn't mean I like it xD


Hamachi is a virus that can hack into your network and steal personal information.


Hamachi can, well, DDOS your network, litterally, My parents were setting up a Hamachi server then, our network got DDOSed I recommend you NEVER USE Hamachi

You probably downloaded a virus one. There are many different "Hamachis" out there. There is only 1 that is legit. It's easy to tell.

It's as if there's a big bold subliminal message there... but rest assured that after I had my one load of problems with it, it was gone. Then I went to college and got somewhat smart.

I'm also quite surprised as to how many people read this, god I was an awful person 3 years ago haha

Cuz hamachi is eazy to set up if you know what your doing. A server with out hamachi take about 45 min. to 1 hour and a hamachi server takes 10-20 min. The main use is not from a open server but a server for you and your friends.

but if you want a server for you and your friends then all you have to do is make the server whitelisted. and the time it takes to set a server up is based on how well you can do it and if you are using bukkit.

You have to port forward man. Some people cannot port forward but want to play with friends, some people are not allowed to port forward and others just cannot be bothered. You can make a bukkit server and everything, same service, same quality just not as open as a normal server.
